The view was stunning, however the cleanliness and other small issues we had were underwhelming. The sheets and throw pillows had hair on them, one of the toilets had what appered to be blood on the seat, my husband got someones elses hair on him in the shower, I wasted hot water attempting to take a bath just for the jets to shoot out what appeared to be black mold, the light on the balcony didn't work, the recliner didn't work, the main outet near the bed was messed up. We also got locked out of the room in the hallway with our hands full even though we paid for the late checkout in advance. The tv in the bed room was hard to figure out, it had a remote that made it seem like it was gonna be a smart tv but it was only cable, wifi worked good though.

Great location

Nice location right on the beach! The cleanliness could have been a bit better…. Floors were a bit grimy and turned the bottom of our feet black. The tub was jetted, but the jets needed a deeper cleaning as they had some mold in/around them so we didn’t use them. We also killed two small roaches in the kitchen during our stay, but never saw anymore anywhere else so hopefully this is not a problem in the future. The furniture and beds were all nice and comfy and the coach bed was comfortable as well! We loved the balcony and looking at and listening to the ocean day and night.

Booked twice simply because of the location

The location is the reason you want to book this condo. Your steps away from a private beach, the outlet malls, a wonderful spa, and a couple restaurants. The condo itself is sub par. Nothing fancy, just the bare minimum.

5 star View, 3 star room

The view from the balcony is just beautiful and the room is close the the elevator for easy access. We were slightly disappointed with the room, the AC unit seems to be on its last leg and needs a new air filter very badly. The condo could use some touch up paint and interior fixes for sure. The microwave door handle was hanging on just barely with glue! I do wish that they would have had more kitchen utensils, we had to buy a few items to make it through the week. We really do love this location and the beach access is top notch! We highly recommend staying at this location and hope the owner does some much needed updates to match the beautiful location and view. All the way from Searcy, Arkansas.. we will return soon!

Nice place

It was my first time to use Vacasa and to go to Destin, it was an excellent experience, the place itself was clean and well equipped, having a gulf view was super nice, we got 2 chairs and umbrella at the beach as part of the stay with no extra cost, overall I recommend the place

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

We were greeted by a giant 5-foot-wide pothole in the entrance to the building that was hard to avoid. The floors were sticky, stained bedding & pillows, stained living room pillows. Black feet marks on the bunk bed walls. The washer and dryer sound like they are going to explode when in use. We were not notified prior to our stay of the massive amount of construction going on in the parking lot. Both stairwell entrances were always blocked, we were told to 'watch our heads' by construction workers when walking to our cars or trying to go to the beach - only entrance available was an old, slow, musty elevator. A water pipe burst by the construction workers and we had no running water off and on for two days. We then had an additional four days of our sinks/garbage disposal clogging with dirty backed up water and huge water puddles in front of the kitchen sink. The only number available is the Vacasa call center who reports it. They number had two options - non-emergent and emergent. The emergent option was an extension not-in-service. We reported this issue right away to the non-emergent option finally as soon as we could. There is no front desk and you cannot talk to the property manager because of 'privacy reasons'. The unit downstairs from us came to our unit two times because their ceiling was leaking really bad and they were afraid the ceiling was going to collapse on them. We had 3 different Vacasa maintenance people come look at the issues and then a pair of plumbers who finally fixed the issue. They said the water pipe that the construction workers did play a part in the issue, but the poor makeshift piping in the unit also played a big factor as to why this issue dragged on for six days. When asking for compensation, the gal I spoke to was rude and said "Well you had running water. We had to fix the issue.' when telling her about our experience. The compensation was very little and the person I spoke did not care to hear about our experience. Please do not waste your money on this rundown place and find one that has property managers who actually maintain their unit and care about customer experience and service.

Very disappointing

This condo was dirty and I was very disappointed. There was a broken glass in the cabinet that could have hurt my 9 year old if I hadn't examined it first. There were some kind of red stains all over the bottom portion of our bed. Scuff marks all over the walls. Our jacuzzi bath had a huge hole in it and we weren't able to use the jacuzzi because water would go everywhere. We had a large amount of rain the first night and the drive in and out of the condo flooded and we weren't able to leave for over 24 hours. They were remodeling the building and there were workers and sharp pieces of metal and concrete everywhere. Stayed at the same resort but different room last year and had no problems. This year was a different story. Tried contacting the owner via email and got a message stating that I would be hearing from someone down in Florida about my concerns and no one ever reached out to me.

Need to clean

Let me start by saying I love Windnacer. This condo was nice but it was not clean like you would think it would be seeing how it was cleaned before 11:00 and I couldn’t check in until 4 With that being said the floor was dirty around the recliner it was not moved to vacuum or sweep. There was food on the recliner so it was not wiped down. There was a pink substance on the head board looked, like kook aid or some type of drink and it was not cleaned which also was all over the sheet covering the box spring. Not the fitted sheet or flat sheet so that was not taken off and replace with a clean one. The freezer door was not even shut good. Luckily my husband fixed that! The basket was not in correctly which was making the door not shut. Why didn’t housekeeping call and get that fixed if they couldn’t fix it then selves so it would be good for the person coming in. Yes i called Vacasa about it immediately so why couldn’t they? There was no hair dryer in the condo which was a first for me. My thinking is if your house keepers are supposed to be taking their time to clean because of covid, then they need to take their time!! We got there early, and called to check in, I got there around 11.00 and had to wait till 4 literally. at a quarter till 4 they would not unlock the door for us. This place should be clean!!! I figured we couldn’t get in that early and that was fine with me. My husband and I packed a beach bag and changed in the bathroom. Enjoyed the beach that day as well then went and unpacked when we could get in the condo. I hope this helps.

Our stay was great, condo was clean. The fridge was freezing our fruits and veggies but Vacasa team took care of that real fast. Wifi wasn’t working but they fixed that too. We’ll be coming back for sure. The only downside would be the mattress on couch need replacement. Great vacation

Great Location!

The condo was nice overall, the view from the balcony and location to the beach was amazing! The beach attendant with chairs/umbrellas/kayak/paddle board was excellent too, super friendly and helpful. The only downside was the upstairs neighbors were very loud, we could hear them thumping around constantly and from what we heard from other visitors they could hear their upstairs neighbors as well. Also the internet was not working. The management company did quickly bring in a new router but it still did not work. We spent most of the time at the beach and out in the town so overall it wasn't a huge problem just mostly frustrating with the noise upstairs when we were trying to relax in the condo.

Will not stay again

Let me start with I have never given a bad review. I own rentals myself and stuff happens. You just try to fix as soon as possible and make the client happy. This unit was missing essentials like a hair dryer, working microwave, no internet, broken cabinets, rusted registers, broken floor tiles. We spent a pretty penny to stay here and the couch was so nasty I wouldn’t even sit a bag on it. I called for assistance regarding internet multiple times with no response. Save your money people.... don’t stay here.

Perfection

My husband and I were able to get away to Destin for a few days in late February. We can not speak highly enough about this property. We felt as though we had found a diamond in the rough. It is down far enough that you aren’t surrounded by tons of people but still centrally located to be to anything within 10 minutes. We did have an issue with WiFi and our microwave was broken. We reached out to the company and did not receive a response back however, this wasn’t an issue for us. We spent most days by the ocean and nicely heated pool. This was our second time to this condo and plan on making it a yearly booking.

Great beach views

Loved this unit as it was beach front and just a few steps to the beach. The only downside our wifi did not work for our entire stay. Other than that it was a great stay!
