Built in 1800, this modern Farmhouse on a creek is peaceful. You will see the original bones of the house through some of the lower ceilings & doorways on the 1st floor which gives this gem uniqueness. Lots of beautiful natural light. 200+ sq.ft screen enclosed porch, wood stove, outdoor fire pit, updated kitchen, 3 bdr & 2 bath, games-a-plenty, books-a plenty, & over 2,200+ sq.ft of house to enjoy. Positioned 90 minutes away from NYC, the house is central to everything you want to do in Upstate NY.
House sits on almost 2 acres of land. You will love every single room as it brings a different element & charm to house.The modern farmhouse is a great place to get away from everything and relax. With an outdoor fire pit(you can make s'mores), or the running hill creek down the property that you can hear from indoors, outdoor porch, magnificent bird watching, plethora of books/games or just sitting in any room in the house while looking out of the window will allow you decompress and refuel yourself; It's calm and carefree. If you like nuts, there are many walnut trees on the property that you can pick.
Additionally amenities include laundry room, gas grill, heated bathroom floors, bear claw tub that can also be a shower, fully stocks kitchen with baking/cooking needs, Kuerig machine for coffee or tea, cable, all smart TVs in the house, Strong WiFi throughout the house for work or pleasure, NEST smart heating system and the nearby creek for fishing or swimming.

Very welcoming host with thoughtful gifts and touches like fresh flowers and recommendations on what to do. The house is very nice and well organized and clean. It’s secluded enough for a quiet get away but also pretty close to other stuff. The winter visit was fun with the fire place and beautiful snow covered trees surrounding us. We will be back again!

This air B&B is a “Hidden gem”, a beautiful property offering the peace and quiet of seclusion in the woods, while still providing the convenience of civilization nearby, about 5 minutes drive from main road. Likewise Photographs can’t possibly capture the Character of this darling house which boasts a great deal more interior space than expected.The Charm of an old-world country farmhouse full of antique decor meets the comfort of Modern amenities & updates of digital thermostat, dishwasher and WiFi. If you feel like venturing out, a Chalkboard painted wall notes places to visit, eat, etc. And if staying in is more your sped, then there are plenty of games , books, & tvs along with a fully stocked wood burning stove. Everything was spotless clean and we felt very comfortable sleeping here. We didn’t want to leave, and wish we could’ve stayed longer. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to make a campfire or use the old fashioned claw soak tub. Would love to come back in the late spring when it’s warm enough to nap in the hammock, curl up with a good book on the screened in porch, or meditate on the properties foot bridge over the stream. When we came back after check out because we forgot something, the cleaning crew was already there. Also notable that They were cheery and personable, graciously reminding us that we forgot to take our complimentary “guest gift” of snacks, pancake mix, and beverage from local distillery. We hope we

Great location surrounded by trees, not houses. Well stocked for cooking, dining, laundry, etc. Do not need to bring anything! Well furnished. Owner provides many thoughtful details and was readily available if needed.

Our stay was 5 star in all categories.It stands out in two ways. First, the host has put so much thought into making every aspect of your stay fun and comfortable such as a chalk board loaded with what to see and where to eat. Secondly, the house is easily accessible to Rt.209. This is the road to everything from the grocery to hiking to Kingston NY events. We hope to return for a third visit!

Great farm house

We had a great time at the farmhouse. Host was super communicative and easy to work with. As described, it’s an older home with some quirks that we found fun. I will warn that taller travelers will have to watch their head in the entry/kitchen area. Home is in an out of the way area that would be great in the spring/sunner. We stayed in early spring before the weather warmed up, even having snow one day. Despite the location, it is not bad getting to various areas. JFK was about 2 1/2 hrs away and you can catch a train from Poughkipsee or Beacon into the city (again about 2 1/2 hr total travel time). I would highly recommend this home for a great upstate trip.

This farmhouse was beautiful, impeccably maintained, and inviting. Every detail, from the cozy interiors to the well-kept outdoor spaces, showed great care.The owner was highly responsive and accommodating, making our stay seamless and enjoyable.Overall, a fantastic experience! The comfort, cleanliness, and service exceeded expectations. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend it!

Excellent

We had such a lovely time at this house. It is decorated in such a charming way and so many things were well thought out so that we would be comfortable for our stay. There's a huge yard for kids to play in and amazing hikes/climbs nearby. It was sparkling clean and had a well equipped kitchen. The host was very generous with us as well. We hope to come back!

Charming Farmhouse

5 other family members and I stayed in the farmhouse for a family wedding down the street. We were charmed by the quaintness of the property and how beautifully decorated it was. You immediately feel at home as soon as you walk into the home. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need for a stay. The host was very responsive with any questions we had.

Delightful house

The house is a cozy antique house that is very clean with fresh decor with modern amenities. The host is very responsive to communication and has thought about every detail to make your stay wonderful. All the 5 star reviews are true. We are planning to return.

Friends get away

If we could give more stars we would. We all enjoyed our stay so much we decided we need to come back. The house is so charming and decorated so beautifully. All the fresh flowers around the house made you feel like you were home. The host left amazing gifts for us when we checked in and kept in contact to make sure everything was ok.

Beautiful house - highly recommend

I can't rave enough about this house! It was absolutely adorable... beautifully decorated, felt so cozy and comfortable. We LOVED it. (I don't like when you are in a house with nothing on the walls and it feels unlived in - this house feels loved and lived in!) I loved the blackboard with the listings for restaurants, what to see, etc. We enjoyed the screened in porch, beautiful grounds, sound of the nearby water, and the cozy and spacious living room. The living room furniture was so comfortable to relax in... and the beds and bedding were very comfortable and luxurious. The host was in touch immediately if I had a question - and to make sure everything was going well. They were very responsive and so thoughtful -- even left us some goodies and gifts, as my son was graduating from SUNY New Paltz and it was a very special weekend. We highly recommend this house.

This was an amazing stay- the location, the coziness, the cleanliness, easy parking, extra touches throughout the home, the A++ host. If u are in need of a stay - this one is for you! We used the fully loaded kitchen, totally adorable dining room, enjoyed the clean, robust shower, a night time relaxing fire pit… and some lounging in the comfortable living room. This home is a pure 10+. We will be back!!!

Great Upstate Weekend

The house was beautiful and immaculate, exactly as the post described. We had a nasty storm that knocked out power for a few hours and the host D went above and beyond to keep in touch and make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed!

Excellent Upstate Property

The house was what the listing promised, and a little more. D. had many thoughtful touches throughout. Communicating with D. was extremely easy. When a situation arose that required we extend our stay, D. was very understanding and extremely helpful. We travel to this area somewhat regularly and look forward to a future stay.

The Upstate Creek House gives such tranquility & peace. Plenty of natural light, nature, hikes, water, antiquing and right amount of modern amenities to enjoy; Something for everyone at every age here. While the house was built in mid 1800's, it has so much imperfect charm that gives me good perspective for beautiful things.
