COWBOY CABIN with Lake Views - perfect for a weekend getaway


This country style cabin is perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors. Kick off your boots and fire up the grill and firepit, while playing cornhole and making s'mores.

Enjoy the sunset and dark night sky for stargazing. Explore the abundant wildlife, beautiful hill country, parks, dining, and wineries. Just minutes away from Willie Nelson's Luck Ranch!

This cabin is located steps away from the water and across the street from Blissful Hill Wedding Venue. The R&R River house (main house), Birdhouse Cottage, Jolene's Airstream and Cactus Camper are four other rentals available on the property which is perfect if you have a large family or large group. You can rent all five cabins and enjoy the whole property to yourselves.

The Cowboy Cabin is small and cozy with 1 bedroom with a queen bed, 1 full bathroom, a mini loft with a queen size bed and full size sofa sleeper in the living area. This is not a large home! The full kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven & microwave and dual coffee brewer (k-cups & 12 cup/pot). The cabin has two smart TV's (one in the bedroom and one in the living area) with all major streaming services available for you to log in to, YouTubeTV is included!

Things to do close by:
Pace Bend Park and El Gaucho Winery are less than 10 minutes away and the Hill Country Galleria is 15 minutes away filled with shopping and restaurants. You can also enjoy lakeside dining at Lighthouse Restaurant right on the water about 5 minutes from the property.

Pace Bend visit

The "Cowboy Cabin" was a great location for our event at Pace Bend park. As advertised, this was a small, quaint location with a great cowboy feel and decor. If drier during our visit, we would really have enjoyed the outdoor area and firepit! Host was very responsive to questions before our arrival. Had a blast!

We loved our stayed at the cowboy cabin! The cabin was nice and clean. It felt like a home away from home. Our kids loved playing connect 4 and walking to the lake. Rick and Kristy were wonderful and very helpful. We loved the recommendations to restaurants and the lake access. We definitely coming back to spicewood 😊

Amazing stay!!

Really enjoyed our time at the Cowboy Cabin. Very clean and comfortable place to stay. As mentioned has a bedroom, a loft and a sofa bed that are all very cozy. Definitely recommend booking here if your looking to get away from the city and enjoy some quite time.

Great Cozy Cabin

This is a cute, cozy cabin with a short walk to the lake. Pace Park is around the corner and so is Pedernales for Hiking. There was a mama deer & 2 babies. It was a very peaceful stay. If you enjoy lakes, this cabin is in the perfect spot. Austin is only 40 mins. away from Cabin. :-)

Cute small place.

The cowboy cabin was very cute and worked perfectly for a weekend retreat with friends. It would be a perfect set-up for two couples or else you'll end up sharing beds. The place was well stocked with little things like cups, plates, ketchup and mustard which were all thoughtful touches. The lake was very low and muddy but that just made getting there an extra adventure. The water does have a bit of a sulfur smell but a Britta is provided.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had ad a wonderful time staying at this cabin. It was small but it had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable, which was a plus. Our Grandkids, ages 4 and 20 months loved the loft and playing on the front porch. The kayaks were a great plus although getting the kayaks was a bit challenging with the muddy bog, we still had fun. I would definitely recommend this cabin for a couple or a family with small kids. Thanks for your hospitality!

Excellent Property

This was a great place to stay... kind of a crowded little area, but that gave us a good chance to visit with our neighbors. Overall, I would definitely recommend.

High School fish tournament

Great fish camp. Close to the water and boat ramps. Several good restaurants in the area as well. Family had a great time. Boat dock was handy for breaks off the water. Would definitely rent again.

Cute Place for short stay

We stayed for New Years and my 2 year old got a kick out of the western theme and cute little loft. We enjoyed playing with toys on the porch and grilling dinner outside as fireworks went on around us. We ended up staying one night instead of two as the place was a bit smaller than we had expected.

Cowboy home

Very cute little cabin with everything you need for your staying. My friends and I had an amazing time inside watching movies, in the front yard grilling, and by the lake enjoying the view.

Such a cute cabin!

We really enjoyed our weekend at the Cowboy Cabin. It was raining most of Saturday, but we enjoyed playing corn hole on the covered porch! The cabin itself is really cute. It is small, as it is listed as. However, it was good for 5 adults! We enjoyed the location and the check in, check out process was so easy! We visited Johnson City and Marble Falls which were each about 30 minutes away; so this was a good half way point. We had a great weekend!

If you want cute, fun, and relaxing...

The Cowboy Cabin is a sweet spot for a fun getaway, especially for a small family. It is tiny, but offers SO much more than a hotel room would, and the price is comparable. Rick and Kristy are very gracious hosts and quickly addressed our needs. Cabin comes with lake access, which is less than a one minute walk away, and full usage of their kayaks, dock, water toys, life vests, and more. Cute amenities in the kitchen definitely add to the experience. Linens are new, fresh, and very clean. Beds are VERY comfortable, and kiddos will love sleeping in the loft. Bring your own beach towels and bottled water. Cowboy Cabin uses well water, which has a strong flavor and smell if you are not used to it, but we certainly did not mind. The Cowboy Cabin was a great place to be for our weekend getaway in Austin.
