Direct oceanfront condo with boating access and day docks on the sound side.

Dunescape Villas 243 is a second-floor, oceanfront condo with stunning views from the living room and screened-in porches. The master bedroom features a private ocean-view porch, a king-size bed, and a flat-panel TV. The second bedroom includes a queen bed and flat-panel TV, while the third bedroom has two twin beds and a TV/DVD player. All bedrooms have ceiling fans. The living room offers a sleeper sofa, a 37" flat-panel TV, and a Blu-Ray/DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with a Keurig coffee maker, a dishwasher, and more. There's also a washer/dryer and wireless internet. Additional amenities include oceanfront pools, an outdoor shower, elevators, access to Bogue Sound, and boat storage (ask the property manager for details). Guests can enjoy a charcoal grill/BBQ and a boardwalk leading directly to the beach.

Great stay!

This condo is in a great location, the kitchen was very well stocked, the host was great, and they also have books and games available which was great since it rained during our stay.

Great place

Had to take this for my wife and I over Memorial Day weekend due to limited places to stay but it was well worth the price. Would be great for a group

Fabulous Location!!

We chose this property for its location and proximity to the beach -- oceanfront! It was wonderful to wake up to the sound of the ocean waves each morning!! The unit was a bit small for 6 adults, but we made it work! There were a couple of minor issues that were taken care of quickly. We would suggest more shelving in the 1/2 bath and master bath for placing toiletries/cosmetics, etc., and nicer bath and hand towels, as they were a bit thin. Otherwise, we loved the location and the condo itself was clean!!!

Beautiful wide beach!

The condo is nice and updated. It was weird that they had notes that said “do not use “ on silverware and plates even tho there’s a dishwasher. Beach was beautiful but not easy to access if older or handicapped. Awesome location! Clean except for balconies really needed vacuuming or sweeping. Pools were great but there are no hot tubs. Seems like there used to be but they’ve made them kiddie pools. Overall, we had a wonderful trip!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: WE had a great time and the condo was good. The only issue was the dishwasher was broken for 4 days and we had to hand wash all our dishes. Not the end of the world, but definitely inconvenient. This was our 2nd year at this location and we are planning on coming back again, hopefully we won't have any other appliance issues.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Dunescape where we have stayed for at least one week each year since the mid 1980's and in this particular unit for the past several years. We remain overall very pleased with the unit's condition and in dealing with the rental management company. There are a few maintenance items that need to be addressed including the dryer not drying, the latch to the front screen door being very hard to open (we had to leave the door propped open), and the light over the stove being out. Also, the Dunescape HOA's policy of not allowing renters to use the parking spots under the building is highly annoying/disrepectful and effectively relegates renters to second class status while on property.

Very good

This unit was great. Had everything you would need! Property manager was responsive when little issues arose. We went to Harker Island and rode the ferry to Cape Lookout. Nice day trip. Had fun all around Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle and Beaufort including aquarium, kayaking and mini golf. .

Great stay as always!

Besides a couple of things not cleaned and/or left behind from a previous renter, the rental was great! This is our second year here and I am sure we will rebook. The view is spectacular and Edith (property manager) has always been available to help with anything and everything!

we liked the location. the elevator was broken from Thursday-Saturday.

the elevator situation made it so our 93 year old mother was not able to stay eith us or enjoy the beach. this was very sad for us all

Great location - all Atlantic Beach amenities including direct beach access and pools!

8 adults aged 60-20 stayed in April’s Retreat. The beds were comfy and the linens kitchen were well stocked with everything we needed. Beautiful balcony view of the beach and quick access to the pool. In the morning, a nice 2-1/2 mile walk down the beach for a great breakfast at the pier or 4 Corners. We will come again and be delighted to get this unit. The unit manager, Edith, was easy to communicate with and answered all our questions before arrival.

Construction not mentioned in VRBO listing

It was not fun waking up to hammering, sawing and a non stop air compressor. Thankfully, the listing agent is sending us a check for $1200 for the nights we didn’t end up staying!!!
