Garden Cottage at the Green is a perfect place designed especially for the enjoyment of its unique, award-winning gardens, vast golf course, and fresh coastal breezes. This exclusive retreat offers complete seclusion and privacy while still offering intimate and warm hospitality. Your accommodations include a bedroom, full bathroom, living room, kitchenette, dining room, balcony patio, and ground floor patio seating area.

Pets are allowed at an additional cost of $30/day which can be paid on site.

We can provide many other services such as laundry for an additional cost.

This casita was a sweet little escape pad. It is quiet and well appointed. The host was welcoming and attentive to my needs. The place was clean and felt secure in a neighborhood setting, with the entrance off a walled courtyard. The only inconvenience was the glitchy internet access. This could have been a headache if I was working during the week I stayed.

A great little getaway

Great quiet location. Very peaceful. We walked to the pier every morning and had breakfast at Fisherman’s Wharf. No one bothered us which was perfect. Casita was very clean. It is close to everything.

Great Garden Cottage

This is a super charming place to stay. Situated in a very nice neighborhood within easy walking distance to the beach and quaint Mexican eatery a block away. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. It is super clean, nicely appointed, and the landscaping is beautiful. Thanks to the hosts for making it such an enjoyable visit. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Super nice and relaxing get-away! It's close to the beach and the cottage stays cool, you get a really nice breeze all throughout the day. This is located in a quiet neighborhood, it's also a pretty walkable area with a park and a small market/taco spot nearby. The decor is modern and clean, with lots of charm and the bed is really comfortable. There is no oven but they provide kitchen tools and cooking equipment that are good for simple meals.We brought our dog with us and she loved the mornings out on the patio. We were also lucky to meet some of their dogs! Because it's a two story cottage, just be mindful of the stairs in case you or your dog have trouble going up/down stairs. Aneta was travelling for part of our stay there and even with a time difference she was extremely responsive and got back to us quickly whenever we needed anything.Overall we had a great time at the casita!

Fantastic place

We loved the beautiful yard, tastefully decorated villa and cleanliness. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts were very kind and the location was great~ golf course views and near the state park that has beach access.

Great Experience

Aneta was a great host, made the entire process so easy. The property is beautifully maintained, even as a guest house we never felt any lack of privacy. The cottage has plenty of space for two and the layout is unique. In warmer weather the garden/patio/balcony would be great places to enjoy. Wish we could have stayed longer

Great Getaway

The cottage was clean and beautiful. It was better equipped than some beach houses we’ve rented in the past. The neighborhood was quiet and close to the beach. Our hostess prepared a fabulous breakfast and Polish donuts for dessert. We spent the evening in the courtyard visiting with our hosts and sipping cocktails. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer weekend and we will definitely recommend this cottage to family and friends.

Poor Communication with Owner

We did not intend to review the property but received a notice that we were reviewed as guests, so we felt it was important to document our experience with the owner/manager. Unfortunately, as responsible citizens, we got COVID and tried to notify the property three days before our check-in date to let them know this and explore our options. Unfortunately, we could not reach them. We reached out to VRBO, and they tried contacting the owners but could not get a response either. We purchased the insurance option, which we learned was great because we could get a full refund. When trying to submit the claim, we and VRBO could not reach the owner at all; their contact phone number was no longer valid and had not been updated. We sent several emails to them, as did VRBO. When they finally got in touch with us (2 days after our planned check-in date, we figured we'd lose the total amount of our stay and were mentally writing it off). After our cancelation option had expired, they suggested we cancel our visit, and they offered to refund the cleaning fee (which makes sense because there would be no additional cost to clean a property that hadn't been occupied). By then, it was too late for us to take any action. Thankfully, the insurance process did work, and we were able to get a refund. We would strongly suggest not booking with this property because they were unreachable and then unwilling to provide guidance when we needed to pursue a refund for medical reasons.

WONDERFUL STAY!!!

My boyfriend and I planned a little surf trip staycation (we live in Los Angeles) and it was PERFECT. Aneta was the sweetest & most accommodating host!! The place was so peaceful and clean and the greenery around the property was beautiful. Would absolutely stay there again :)

San Clemente Escape

My communication with Aneta prior to traveling was excellent and she responded quickly to all of my questions with answers and information. Upon our arrival, we met Brandon and then Aneta and they immediately made us feel welcome with incredible hospitality! The Casita is beautiful and kept immaculate. The location is excellent and close to where we were spending most of our time. It was a very quiet place in a very nice neighborhood. We look forward to returning if our family members don't book before we get a reservation...

Wonderful property

We fully enjoyed our stay in the Casita. The garden is so lovely and the casita itself is perfect and beautifully decorated. Aneta has thought of everything - even extra toothbrushes and bathrobes. We loved waking up to the birds and having coffee on the upstairs balcony. I was worried about it being close to the 5, but you don't really notice the traffic noise at all - it's just a subtle hum in the background. As for location, it was perfect for us. It's a very short walk through the State Park (which is right across the road) directly to the beach, and then you can wander down into the extremely picturesque main village with the pier along the beach trail. There are hiking and surfing areas very close by so there are ample opportunities to get outside and enjoy the full SoCal experience either on foot or by car or bike. We really hope to return soon.

Stylish & Comfortable

I very much enjoyed staying at the “Casita”! I loved the decor and easy location of the unit. Everything was good quality including the bed, furniture, linens, dishes, etc. and “welcome gift.” There was even a parking space which made everything seamless since I often returned “home” late at night. San Clemente cottage

Very nice experience! The cottage was clean and private in a nice neighborhood. Excellent communication with the owner, Aneta. She contacted me early in the process to coordinate our stay and checked in via VRBO to make sure we were comfortable. Would 100% recommend staying here!
