Jeff Studio 302: Each room is individually furnished, with a distinct personality. Think effortless cool, creamy suede, and desert colors with pops of quirky humor. To ensure privacy and true getaway vibes, The Jeff was designed to be entirely self-service (no front desk or need for check-in). Upon booking, you will receive a unique code that gives you access to your room.
The Jeff Hotel Studios feature a luxurious, custom-made king bed - perfect to settle down in after a hard day's rockin' with a flat screen TV. A Marshall amp speaker is provided to kick back and enjoy your favorite tunes. Each room is equipped with Nespresso coffee maker with pods, an electric kettle for tea that is also provided plus mini-fridge. Our spacious en-suite bathrooms boast high ceilings and walk-in showers.
Being on a pedestrian mall the hotel has no on-site parking, but we think that having Cville's most popular bars, restaurants and music venues mere steps away is a great trade-off!

*Note – The Jeff Hotel is located in a historic building above the nationally renowned Jefferson Theater so it has no elevator. Each room is only accessible via stairs, in some cases multiple flights.

Perfect Location and a Cozy room

Big Euro vibes. Make sure to read the room guide before checking in for a better experience. Someone put a lot of thought into it. The room was very easily accessible. Everything was pristine. Loved the beverage station. It had everything we needed. The team was available before, after, and the entire of our stay and had exceptional communication. I also have to add, I LOVED the pillows. The bed was perfectly cozy. Ice in the mini fridge if guests needed it. Now that I now they're here, I will consider no other options. Thank you for everything.

Exceptional Overnight

To say we were pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Jeff Studio would be a huge understatement! I booked a room for my husband and myself and one for a dear friend (we were treating him). The two rooms were right next to each other. They were obviously very recently updated and very beautiful as well as comfortable! We are seniors and have stayed in hotels and VRBOs in the US and abroad and this room was exceptional for the price. The location in the heart of a quaint street (no cars) in Charlottesville,VA with dining options outside and shopping just made for a perfect visit! The Jeff Studio was quiet and "different" as it was situated above a theater (I checked before to make sure there was nothing going on that night). Parking was free. The lot was a short walk from the entrance to the building but it was explained to us beforehand so it was not a problem. All in all the room, location, communication with the owner, everything about our experience was way above 5 stars!!!!!

Loved property, lots of stairs

This was a trip to celebrate my birthday. It was quite an adventure to find a place for our dog to go potty. Finally found one several blocks away s we spent a lot of time doing that instead of enjoying the time in Charlottesville. The property was excellent, spotless, small but had everything we needed except and extra blanket. Loved the property, but wished we had understood how far grass was for Sunny .

One and Done

Very cool place, however, being that there's no elevators and you have to park in a garage.It's a bit of a schlep. The room had a musty smell. I also was uncomfortable with the people who are homeless asking for money, when you leave the building on the pedestrian mallmoneyt when you left the building.

Great location, great rooms, be wary of checkout policy

Great rooms and best location, but check out policy felt rushed if not a little hostile lol. I understand the business 100% but with so few rooms I think one can be a bit easier on the checkout, rather than charging 75 if you stay past the checkout time

Listing not terribly clear

This was a 3rd floor walk-up, which wasn't clear from the listing, so it's a good thing we're in shape. Great location, handy to everything, good restaurants close-by. Might be a good idea to put a microwave in the room though.

Great location on Downtown Mall

Small hotel on Downtown Mall, comes with parking pass for nearby garage, convenient to coffee shops and lovely shops and restaurants. The rooms are small, but beds are comfortable, linens are nice, decent sized bathroom with nice shower, you cannot beat the location, and, the price is great for the location!

Reservation was not found thus no infobre access was received prior to arrival. Leftovers from prior guest in fridge. No service on room...bed not made, towels & coffee pods not replenished. No Response from mgmt re these complaints.

UVA Parents Weekend

Unique and beautiful. Was pricey but expected given the location and the fact it was UVA Parents weekend. We didn't find the parking passes in the room initially and the management was quick to call us back and solve the issue (we later DID find the parking passes in the room, just not where we expected them!) The room was very nice. The only complaint was that there was no counter space in the bathroom so you had to put all of your toiletries on the floor and the style of the bathroom door (barn door on wheels) was nice to look at but didn't stay closed so we had to wedge a bath towel in the gap for privacy to keep the door closed.

Very convenient place to stay in downtown Charlottesville. Many restaurants with outdoor seating. A quiet place to stay, easy checkin and very clean with beautiful decor.

Birthday Trip

We decided to take a mini birthday trip for my partner. This location was so unique and perfectly located downtown. We walked to most of the things we wanted to see which was truly amazing.

The space is very small. It’s claustrophobic specially with no windows you can open.

The room being on the third floor was to much for my old body

We wanted caffeinated coffee but only 1 was in the room for the both of us. We contacted Drew and he said he would deliver more coffee for the next day. He did but it was decaffeinated coffee. I guess it didn't matter because nobody could figure out how to get 2 cups of coffee out of the Nespresso machine in the rooms we rented. We also needed ice but there isn't an ice machine. The closes store with ice was 4 blocks away. We ended up buying a cooler. The Jeff would be a great place to stay if you're young and stay on the first 2 floors. The 3rd floor rooms are dinky.
