Cottage on the Lake

Here is the perfect getaway ! Peaceful and relaxing with a beautiful view is where this 3 bedroom 1.5 bath A frame style cottage sits. Located on a 400 acre lake known for great fishing in Pearl River county at the hub of New Orleans, The Gulf Coast and Hattiesburg. This unique cottage has the living area, full bath and galley kitchen downstairs and 2 full bedrooms with a loft and half bath on second floor that opens to a deck facing the lake with sliding glass doors.
The living area and kitchen have tons of natural light with glass sliding doors to a porch and deck facing the lake as well.
The property is shaded at the entrance with parking in front of the entrance to the home and opens up to a big open yard for fun and activity to the lake, covered pier for your fun and relaxation. 2 Kayaks and a paddle boat for your enjoyment.

Our stay was amazing. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and Tammie went above and beyond to make it a special visit. We went between Christmas and new years and the Christmas decorations were awesome. We have a family of 5 and there was plenty of room for everyone, the boys absolutely loved the rooms on the third floor. The whole property had a very peaceful feel, we really enjoyed it and planned to come back again.

We had the best time! We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, paddle boating, playing on the leap pad, and playing games at night. It was a very peaceful place and my kids begged to stay longer. I wish we could have. It was such an inviting place to be. We will definitely book again in the future!

We had the most amazing time. We are a family of 5 in town for baseball tournament. Tammie was awesome with communication and responding quickly and very accommodating. If you are looking for relaxing family time this is your spot! Check it out. Will be booking again. 10/10 recommend.

Great getaway from home!

Arrived at the property and fell in love with the lake view! Overall very cozy cottage. Fishing is good, and water was nice while we were there. Would recommend!

Relaxing! Great View! Loved It!

Live a very stressful life and this place provided the environment to truly unhook and decompress. My family and I will definitely come back over and over to this place as long as it’s available. Highly recommend!

Lovely

Very nice, peaceful setting to enjoy the water and family. Both kayaks were used and hours were spent lying on the float. The house clean and unique.

Wonderful Relaxing Lake A-Frame

My wife and I were very happy to be the first vacationers to this listing. Miss Tammi worked very hard to make sure our stay was pleasant. The lake is very calm and great for kayaking and paddle-boarding. Great sea food a short drive away. The bed was extremely comfortable. We look forward to returning for another stay.

Great little cottage!

Everything about the cottage is unique. There's plenty of room with the way it's laid out, too. Tammie was very accommodating. I'll definitely be back again and next time, maybe I'll have a chance to fish.

Lovely cottage on the lake

Loved watching the sun set across the lake while sitting on the comfortable dock each night. Enjoyed the gentle breeze across the water. Visiting the area in June from Texas, we marvelled at the lack of mosquitoes. Cottage was comfortably cooled by several window A/C units and ceiling fans. The cottage was cozy yet spacious enough for visiting. Comfortable beds and lovely decor. Recommend this as a very relaxing place to stay!

Peaceful Perfection

My family and I had the best time spending the weekend at this precious little cottage! It was clean and had everything we needed. The owner Tammie is so kind and helpful and even left us some gifts! The lake is very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking and tubing. Can't wait to return :)

Charming Cottage!

This is such a charming, cozy little cottage! The space may be tight, but each room is furnished with an eye to comfort and the maximizing of space. Comfort and efficiency are in abundance! Both the exterior and interior are light and airy. You just walk in and smile because it’s so adorable! Attention, tall people and klutzes: Watch your head and watch your step, and enjoy the views!

Amazing experience!

I can’t say enough good things about Tammie and our stay at the cottage. It’s a unique property that was so cozy and perfect for us. The kids absolutely loved the loft area and being able to kayak and fish every day. It’s such a peaceful and beautiful place. Tammie went above and beyond multiple times to ensure we had the best time possible. So grateful. We will return!

Loved it!

We loved our stay and were so sad to leave! The owner was a great communicator and left us gifts as we were celebrating a graduation and a birthday. We did a beach day and a couple New Orleans days. Sitting on the dock and watching my kids kayak was my favorite part, so very peaceful. Would love to stay again! :) everything we could have needed was provided. Very thankful for our time at the cottage on the lake!

Perfection

This was a wonderful experience! The owners supplied everything you could possibly need for a fantastic weekend. They also decorated the house for Christmas. Every room had a personal touch. When my teenage nieces arrived, they immediately said "Meme, this is incredible." We had such a nice, relaxing weekend, and we will certainly be back.

Lake cottage.

A-frame home on the lake, has paddle boats, kayaks and an area for a camp fire! My grandkids, my son and I had a blast. Big yard with other yard games available that kept the children occupied. They did not want to leave. My two granddaughters especially like the top floor which they took over and made it the “Girls Only Room”

Right when we pulled up and walked in I felt like I had walked into a Nicholas Sparks novel!!! The sun shone brightly through the extravagant windows, that looked out upon the magnificent view of the lake. The cottage filled the smell of coffee and bacon. I took my breakfast on the back deck. Even though it was going to be a hot day the breeze from the lake was refreshing. I looked up expecting to see the local boat builder come around the corner….. and then “Mom!!!!!“ Let’s go paddle boating, let’s go fishing, let’s go kayaking!” Shook me out of my daydream LOL!!! There was cornhole, there was volleyball, there was badminton. After dinner they wore us out with the board games too! This cottage and its host really did go above and beyond for a wonderful stay. So, whether you are looking for a romantic Nicholas Sparks type getaway, or a family fun filled vacation, this Cottage does not disappoint! We can not wait to come back for more memories!

Paradise

This property had every thing we desired. Very Clean - beds were very comfortable- had all the amenities, Co- located to the lake with a deck and Pavillion and very clean . We had acess to two boats. Two great coffee pots with all types of coffee. Tammie and brock thought of every thing. Two Grills, one for grilling and one for frying. Grass was cut neatly leading to the lake and a fire pit with wood just waiting on us to enjoy. Chocolates & mushroom for roasting. Words can not explain how impressed we were about this cottage. Towels were many and exceedingly clean with an outstanding smell I am writting just like I am feeling - totally excited. Quiet, peaceful and very secure . Superb location and price. I rate this Cottage and location all 5"s in every aspect. Unfortunately we had an emergency back home and we had to leave early - broke our hearts because every thing was perfect - the weather- the cottage and the lake. The Owner were so graceful and only charged us for the time we spent. They even gave us a military discount and that is a first for us. I will be returing as soon as possible to enjoy all this Cottage has to offer and enjoy. Strongly recommend this Cottage! .

Life began again, here at this peaceful little cottage.
After raising our family of 6 and enjoying 12 grandchildren for many years, I lost my husband to cancer. Many months later I discovered this little cottage and moved myself in to start life anew.
As tiny as it was, our huge family came together here for the holidays and family gatherings we've always valued, playing on the lake, having football games in the yard and sitting down to meals together, on the porch of coarse, as it was the only place big enough to seat 28 people.
After meeting my new husband and building a home together across the lake, the kids and I couldn't part with our precious little cottage where we had started so many new memories, so we bought it.
Our family still uses the cottage for get-a-ways and fun at the lake and decided that it would be nice to share The Cottage with others that come to our area wanting a special and relaxing experience of our culture.
The Cottage was our new beginning in a new setting as we made our way to a new chapter of our life.
