Best Family Vacation at the Beach or the Pool.

When enjoying your stay at Sunset Getaway, the whole family can walk or ride our bikes to the end of the block and you're at Sunset Beach Park.  Sunset Beach rest on the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.  

Or just relax the day away, when you lay by the pool or have a cool drink under the palm tree.  There's plenty of beach/pools toys and the whole family can join in a bean bag toss and pool volleyball.  

Rather stretch out and see the countryside?  Take our bikes and visit the riding trails and beaches at nearby Howard park (1.5 miles away) or ride to our world famous Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks about 3.5 miles away and enjoy a piece of history and the local culture.

You are 25 miles from Tampa International Airport, 90 minutes to the theme parks in Orlando, 45 minutes from Busch Gardens and only 28 minutes from the beautiful Clearwater Beaches. For golf lovers, the world famous Innisbrook Golf Course is only about 2.5 miles away.

Great Spring Getaway

Comfortable house, great pool space, and a great area. Highly recommend Sponge Docks and Howard Park Beach.Would be happy to return!

Relax at the Beach

We enjoyed a week here. We walked to the Beach when we wanted, mostly stayed by the pool. Great neighborhood, enjoyed evening walks, 5 minutes from downtown. Will definitely be back. Steve was great to deal with, very accommodating.

Beautiful Property- Great Host & Family Vacation

This was the second time we stayed at this property and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. Steve is a very accommodating host and the property is extremely well kept. Looking forward to returning again!

An absolutely perfect stay!

We had the most wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that they had thought of every little detail to make our stay comfortable and stress-free. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed (and more). The pool was a total highlight—private and perfect for relaxing after a day out. The location couldn’t have been better. It’s rare to find a place that checks every box, but this one truly did. Thank you Steve and Joyce, for your hospitality and for creating such a perfect getaway spot. We can’t wait to come back!

Great neighborhood!

Great vacation

Everything was as advertised, house was clean, location was perfect for beaches and the heated pool was well used. Owners were very responsive and generous. It felt like home! We would definitely come back

Property was great, Steve was responsive. Had a TON more of the disposables (paper towels, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper) than any other place we’ve stayed.

I'd give 6 stars if I could

So, this is one of the best vacation experiences on record for us. We take more than our fair share of vacations and this house is one of the top we've ever stayed at. Steve was amazing, the home is beautiful and everything was better than advertised. I would HIGHLY recommend and can't wait to come back!!!!

Awesome house and pool!

We have stayed at lots of homes and this one was hands down the most clean and well stocked. Very relaxing out by the pool and beautiful. Nice neighborhood and great location. Tarpon Springs is a nice town with lots of options for great food and fun. Pack your bags and rent this home, you won't be disappointed. Thank you for all the extras, you are great hosts!

This is the ONE you’ve been searching for!

This house has it ALL! We all said “Wow!”when we walked in the door. This house is SO clean and the pool and beach accessories were perfect. No detail was left undone- from well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels to bicycles and games for the family. Thanks for contributing to such a memorable family vacation!

What a fabulous vacation!!

We love Steve and Joyce!! They are amazing hosts… They had all the amenities you could think of available at the house!!! The house is well laid out… Completely modernized… and What a fabulous pool!!! The house is located a block and a half from Sunset Beach… And spent many evenings watching the sunset!!We vacationed for three weeks… Did lots of cycling, dog walks, hiking in local parks and ate lots of Greek food!! And… We already booked next year!!

Wonderful vacation

This is a beautiful beach home near the beach. My family of four had a wonderful time here. The kids loved the pool and all the bikes and toys already there for us. We used the provided kayak at the sunset beach 5min walk down the road. The host was responsive and professional. We went to Lego land that was just over an hour away and went to Tampa/St. Petersburg. Thank you! A++++ We will return again 100%

I get to be the first!

This house is gorgeous! It looks just as good if not better than the pictures. Super comfortable bed, soft towels, plenty of pillows, decorated perfectly, open and spacious, and very well stocked. Even smoked my first turkey on Thanksgiving in their smoker and it turned out so delicious I bought my own smoker when I got home. My wife was ready to move in permanently. Well done.

Really Nice Place!

The house was actually nicer in person than the pictures! Open concept from kitchen to dining room to living room. Home was in pristine condition! Beds were comfortable and everyone had their own space. Unfortunately, the pool wasn't completed when we got there, but the owner certainly made up for it. Would recommend for family of four as parents were on one side of the house and kids on the other! Great set up! The location was great to get to the beach at the end of the main street. Area was nice to bike ride around and there were many board games and things to do in the garage for guests. Top notch place!

All our family needed to escape the cold

We planned this the week before to escape sub zero temperatures at home with our school age kids. Temps were around 80. We mostly walked to Sunset Park and enjoyed the beach. Everything we needed was there -chairs, umbrella, coolers, even beach bags. We also enjoyed Howard Park and spent a day at Busch Gardens. Everything is at least as nice or nicer than the pictures look. The owners made sure we had child life vests like we asked about. The kitchen and grill worked out great. Comfortable bedding. Plenty of towels. We played the games in a closet. The pool would be even more awesome. We already are thinking about how we can come back next year.

Nice place

The home is very nice and well-stocked for all needs. Master BR is last room to get ac so it’s quite uncomfortable. We had to use fans to survive the heat. Owner had a portable ac delivered, but no way to hook it up properly in the window, so it was useless. They have a very generous restaurant gift card for the inconvenience which was appreciated. The area is okay. It’s a bay, not the ocean. I should have examined the map more closely. We would have stayed in Clearwater or further south had we realized.

Impressive!!!

House was very clean and kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. Garage was loaded with pool toys and beach items. Walking distance to beach. My wife and I, two daughters, son in laws, grandchildren and two dogs had a great time in this house. No need to look anywhere else, book this house. Steve and Joyce were great hosts and very easy to communicate with. Look forward to visiting again.

Because we could update the open floor plan to a more modern version with a beach feel. In addition, it's 1 block from Sunset Beach and it's unique in that it has a circle drive in front on the main road to the beach and a 1900's brick road in the rear with it's own driveway and a place to put a swimming pool (coming in January 2021

Our neighborhood at Sunset Getaway is mostly single family occupied homes with wonderful neighbors. Probably much like your own neighborhood, except it has the ocean and a beach just a block away.
