Nestled on its own private island surrounded by the Independence River in the beautiful Adirondacks. This professionally cleaned and sanitized solar-powered two bedroom, two bath cabin featuring a porch, balcony and treehouse is just feet away from the bustling independence river. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch listening to the river flow, or grab a book and relax in the hammock between the trees. At night, sit by the fire pit and gaze at the stars.

The cabin is fully equipped with towels, toiletries, cleaning supplies, dishware, tea kettle, Keurig, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, heat/AC, internet, satellite, barbeque and smoker and trailer hook-up.

Hummingbird island is absolutely incredible, the cabin, the atmosphere. It is everything you could dream of and more! The rooms are spacious and full of amenities. The cozy kitchen is perfect for baking up a snack. And the views are to die for. We look forward to visiting every year!

Tranquil, blessed isolation in comfort

The property is simply wonderful. Beautiful, kept up, spacious, comfortable, and on a great piece of property. The constant backdrop of water gurgling through the rocks was a nice backdrop to the woods and water. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed. About the only negative has nothing to do with the property but more the general setup: Since you're on an island surrounded by water, you had better believe that the mosquitos are out in force! Even will citronella candles ablaze and repellent on, the swarms did make enjoying the amazing porch difficult. It's more of just something to plan for as they are a force to be reckoned with.

Upstate Island Paradise

The pictures do not come close to capturing the magic and beauty of the cabin and surroundings! We were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail in every aspect. The welcome basket filled with local treats, cleanliness, fully stocked kitchen, linens, and understated decor were greatly appreciated. We explored the property as much as the snowy April days allowed. We will be renting again this summer to take advantage of the river and porches.

Everything was Perfect!

We loved everything about our stay. The bath in the middle of the room is just incredible. Super cozy house where you just forget about everything.

A Much Needed Escape

The photos of this property do not begin to show how amazing this home is! It is literally located on an island, surrounded by a river. We spent time walking and pulling our granddaughter around on a snow tube, but not until we built our first snowman! We weren't able to snowmobile due to lack of snow, but no one was the least bit disappointed. We are hoping to return in the summer so we can enjoy our morning coffee while taking in the view from the tree house. The three bedrooms/three baths were perfect to give each family their own privacy if needed. All in all, it was a fabulous escape, even if only for 3 days.......

Highly recommend definitely returning!

The perfect getaway cabin. We celebrated our Christmas here and it was beautiful! The owners decorated and even left gifts for the children. The cabin was extremely clean and the owners were always available to answer any questions we had. I am sharing this cabin with all my followers and I hope they also have the amazing experience we did.

Autumn Splendor on the river

This camp was absolutely gorgeous. The location is amazing with the river surrounding the property. There is so much outdoor living space with the expansive porches and bonfire area. The well stocked camp has just about anything you need, just pack your meals. We loved the beautiful Adirondack decorating style. The property managers were very responsive. We can’t wait to celebrate me back!

Kim and Fred were the perfect hosts! The cabin was beautiful and in a perfect location!!

It Was amazing and we are definitely going back the cabins in the perfect location just over an hour to thousand islands Victoria bay and just under an hour to old forge! ‘Kim and Fred thought of everything we would need even leaving us tubes for the river which we used a couple times it was the perfect week thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us!

Wonderful time in this beautiful location

If you want to get away from it all, this beautiful home in the woods by the river is just the ticket! Very secluded, but with all the amenities you could ask for, truly a great experience. Communication with the owners through the VRBO app was easy and responses were very quick and helpful. In short, we loved it and will be going back soon!

Beautiful Escape

Everything about this cabin and it’s gorgeous natural surroundings was wonderful! The rushing of water over the river rocks was such so relaxing. From the fabulous welcome basket upon arrival, to extra towels and plentiful supplies was perfect for our small family getaway! The housekeeper was exceptional with answering questions and so happy to help. The photos don’t do this spectacular setting enough justice! Everything was perfect!

Town of Greig Cabin Stay

My stay at the cabin was amazing!! We went with 2 other couples and it was perfect. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom which was fully equipped. The cabin was exceptionally clean and stocked with several cleaning supplies. The cabin was secluded and surrounded by a river. There was plenty of wood for the fire pit which a great for s’mores. Most importantly the host Kim was great. She was prompt all of her responses from the moment we booked and available for us to contact her throughout our stay. This place is a gem!! We look forward to returning.

Best Getaway By Far

This cabin in the woods is beyond anything you can imagine. You are surronded by a river all around the property, quiet and peaceful, a wonderful escape from all things! Deers around, fireflies at night, wonderful way to relax and recharge. The cabin itself is beautiful and clean. The canoe that hangs in the living and next to the bridge that connect the upstaris bedrooms is such a sight to see. The master bedroom is filled with so much natural light from the french doors that open to the deck facing the river, as well as from the two sky lights. All in all this cabin is a true GEM! The owner went above and beyond any expectation! Leaving their own touches to make sure we celebrated properly for our anniverysary & my birthday! We were both blown away by the entire experience and highly recommend, we will certainly be back!

Magical place!

We loved this house so much that we extended our stay! The pictures do not do it justice - it's completely surrounded by a little river just steps from the house that is perfect for post-hike dips and relaxing to the rushing water sound when reading on the porch. It's also totally isolated, which was lovely. The house had everything amenities-wise - kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need and then some. Hospitality was also out of this world with a little local snack basket awaiting us on arrival and top quality products for the incredible bathtub and showers.
