Cobwebs Cottage RIVERSDALE BEACH

Cobwebs Cottage is a delightful self contained accommodation for 2 people. Situated in the homestead garden this charming cottage over looks the tennis court and ocean.
Cobwebs is very comfortable with all the ' mod cons' . TV, SKY,DVD, microwave. It has a queen size bed and large ensuite complete with claw foot bath.
We do provide a light breakfast . cereal/tea/coffee/milk etc. But please bring your own bread.
Cobwebs is only a short stroll to the beautiful beach at Riversdale where you can walk, swim or fish. Riversdale also over a wonderful 9 hole golf course that welcomes visitors and a local store where you can get a latte and takeaways. What more could you want.
We are also a wedding venue. A marquee can be placed on the land in front of the Homestead, among the olive trees looking out to the ocean.
We have accommodation for over 30 people here on the station so plenty of beds for guests.

Special conditions:



I do not take one night bookings sorry - two night minimum.
Two or more $155 per night.
Holiday weekends are a three night minimum
Arrival time - any time after 3pm
Departure - 10.00am. ( if I don't have a booking you may be able to stay a little longer)
Refunds will be given as long as there is plenty of notice. If its a holiday weekend refunds will only if I can fill the spot.

What a fabulous location Cobwebs Cottage is in! Set on a working sheep station of 3000 acres established in 1854, the history and longevity of the same family is felt strongly. VGrateful thanks to Angie & Glen - we appreciated it all. And it so much more than we'd expected. From the 'olde-worlde' character of the cottage found within its long established garden setting; comfort and charm is here in spades; xtras included cereal/fruit/yogurt/teas/coffees/cookies/milk/spread options (all you need to take is your bread choice for toast), enhanced by thoughtful touches - fresh floral buds, hand and body lotions n potions & xtra towels. The ocean views & sounds of the waves (which lulled us into great sleeps) was the icing on the cake! And we loved the birdlife sounds and sightings on the property. We also found the Riversdale seaside community full of welcoming and friendly people - there is a definite chilled out beach vibe here. No frenetic rushing! The local golf course is a very beautiful but challenging mix of 7 par 3's and 2 par 4's, with different tees for the second 9 holes; an extremely well maintained course with a modern clubhouse provides a great meeting spot for locals and visitors alike (evening meals available Friday-Sunday). The beach cafe serves great snacks, meals, most grocery items and coffees, plus it's licensed. No petrol stations. So go in with a full tank of fuel. Riversdale has been a well kept secret - not any longer! We'll be back. Gaylene & Tony.

This cottage is such a wonderful place to stay. You can see the sea from the verandah and watch the multiple of quail running and feeding around the place. The bed is very comfy and having the freestanding fire on cold nights makes this cottage very cosy. Angie is a great host and nothing was a bother. She makes sure every detail is covered for eg: the fire was all ready to be lite and wood in a basket all ready to go. Thank you immensely Angie. A good place for a recharge

Short Getaway

We arrived to a quaint an neat cottage welcoming us with a warm fire. The setting and view were fabulous and we didn't want for anything. What an awesome place to unwind. Thank you Angie for your hospitality and for sharing paradise with us. We will definitely be back.Clayton and Annalie

A little sanctuary!

An absolutely lovely cottage. It's quiet, well equipped, clean and finally with a comfortable bed (so important)! Great location, within walking distance to the beach as well as a beautiful walking trail.

Christmas at Cobwebs

We had an amazing couple of nights at Cobwebs Cottage. It is clean and cosy and the location is perfect. It has everything you need and Angie was a great host. We couldn't recommend highly enough!

Gorgeous Cottage and beautiful setting

The cottage was everything we expected and more. Very cosy and warm. We had a lovely wood burner fireplace. We were situated near to the store and golf club and the beach. There was everything you could need for a continental breakfast as well as choices of tea and coffee and orange juice. It was wonderfully quiet at night-time and in the mornings we were awakened by birdsong.

Wonderful cosy cottage

Had the best weekend getaway at Cobwebbs Cottage! Beautiful, clean and smelled amazing! Cozy and located in such a beautiful spot. Angie made us feel so welcome and at home, she put out fresh flowers, had breakfast and tea and coffee available for us and had lots of firewood to keep us warm. She is the most wonderful host.Riversdale is an amazing spot, highly recommended!

A perfect haven

I made a last-minute, mid-winter booking and Angie went out of her way to accommodate me. This little cabin was the perfect place to take a rest. It's exquisite, quiet, warm and a short walk to the beach. The view from the bathroom is amazing!.

Peace and quiet

Cobwebs wasnt just a bach It was a total experience The cottage was warm and comfortable With mod cons and facilities way beyond what youd expect from a "bach" Just far enough from township to be totally private but within walkjng distance It was exactly what we were wanting and needed We will be back again..soon

Hidden gem

We didn’t get to meet Angie to say thanks personally but she did an amazing job hosting. Riversdale is a bit of a drive from Masterton and no shops or petrol station in between for 40 something minutes so best to fill up your tank or do bit of grocery beforehand. But if you missed an onion or booze from the market, don’t fret. They have a local convenience store close to the beach that’s got all you need. The cottage was very neat, some bugs here and there which has to be expected given your chosen location but it never bothered us anyway, could give you a fright though especially at night but they’re pretty harmless. There’s a tennis court which you can access, just maybe give them a heads up if you wanna use it. The beach view from the bathroom is very stunning for when you’re doing your business. There's a small opening that leads to a huge freshly mowed backyard, with olive trees and a swing. There’s a picnic table there where we ate our breakfast and dinner overlooking the vast sea. We played vortex like it’s quite a field for a backyard. After dark, we laid down the picnic mat and the clear sky provided a stunning view for stargazing. Breakfast included was the bomb. There was milk, cereals, cookies, butter and jam, stack of assorted tea and coffee, pots pans and the whole shibang. We had such a lovely long weekend over at Wairarapa, went for a quick drive to Castlepoint too just 40min away for fishing. Would 100% recommend this place and would love to be back!!

perfect getaway for christmas
