The Waves Studio Nine Mile Beach Charleston

The ultimate bush and beach escape - modern spacious open plan 1 bedroom studio overlooking Nine Mile Beach, Charleston, surrounded by native bush offering plenty of privacy. If you are looking for somewhere really special to celebrate a particular occasion, The Waves Studio has it all; the comforts of home and more... dishwasher, full laundry, fridge/freezer, wood burner, heatpump, BBQ, broadband access, flat screen TV, DVD, sound system and endless gas hot water for the very large 2 person spa bath. The bathroom has under tile heating (great in the winter!), a heated towel ladder, hairdryer, tiled shower and vanity as well as the large spa bath. (Please note the second bedroom/bathroom is not accessible). Complimentary toiletries also supplied and bottle of NZ wine. We provide 100% cotton linen for a good night's sleep. There is a small wood burner to keep you cosy in the winter months, with kindling and wood all ready for you and a heatpump as well. A free WiFi connection is available with password security.
The large double-glazed sliders from the bedroom and the living area open onto to a large timber north facing deck, affording panoramic views up the beach to Cape Foulwind. Westport and Punakaiki are a 25 minute drive away, while a safe swimming beach is about 10 minute walk away at the Nile River lagoon. We are close to the Paparoa National Park. The house is fully serviced between guests and we send detailed information, instruction and key location when accommodation had been booked and fully paid. Please note: Minimum stay 3 nights April-October, or 2 nights November-March (please contact us for price for 2 night stay in off season). Contact us for rates for longer stays up to 10 days.

Perfect location for us to visit West side of the Island. The house had everything we needed for our stay. This was our second visit to the Waves coming from the U.S. & one of the best rentals we have enjoyed.

Idyllic location, views and facilities. Changeable weather made the beach extra interesting to watch. We found plenty to do to make our stay worthwhile. Excellent library on the history of the area.

Fantastic house in stunning location

It would be difficult to do better - the house is great, the kitchen is well equipped, the sheets are comfy, and wow that view! Highly recommended - Iā€™d be surprised if there was anything comparable on the west coast.

Lovely Spot, very relaxing

From the moment we walked into The Waves we felt relaxed and at home. It is very well designed with everything we needed. The view of nine mile beach is spectacular, a million dollar view for much less! Heather's communication was great, an excellent experience all round.

This is easily in our top 5 of vacation rentals. It was well appointed and very clean.

We just loved everything about the rental.... the location, the decor & amenities. A 5 star accommodation. The owner checked in with us the first day to see if we arrived safely & needed anything. That meant something and is rare with owners. She also left us a lovely gift. It was the little details that made this vacation rental excellent!

Absolutely Beautiful!

Fabulous views.

This property is beautifully positioned with amazing views up the coast. Whilst we were there we were able to watch the rain coming in over the ocean. Very impressive. There is everything you need for a stay, you just need to bring in your food supplies. We really enjoyed our 4nights here.

We stayed at Heather's place - it was just as described, very quiet and private. The property was well appointed, immaculately clean and well presented. Heather's communication was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to others.

Beautiful location to relax and recharge

Stunning view the moment you opened the door, this location doesn't disappoint. Abundant birdie and the sound of the ocean bring peace to the soul. There is also lots to see and do if relaxing is not your thing! Great cozy evenings in front of the fire and all the amenities you need. Will certainly be back.

What a lovely place. Everything was perfect Didnā€™t even have to go outside and get wet to get more wood in for the wonderful cosy fire. Would definitely stay there again
