This modern comfortable property is an open, light and warm two-storey house with a 3 minute walk to Hihi Beach. It has a nice view of the sea and the rolling green hills. Sit outside in comfort in winter or summer. Enjoy the sun during the day and stars at night as you enjoy the peace. Hihi is a very safe and quiet environment at night and during the day. A great place to relax, fish, golf, walk or go for a run
It is a large home, with a master bedroom and living area upstairs, an open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen, all with different views of sea and mountains. There is a a large deck upstairs facing north-west, with outdoor furniture and a BBQ available downstairs.
We will provide you with towels, pillows, blankets and duvet covers. We have some linen available, but ideally you will bring your own sheets, pillow cases and beach towels.
There is free wifi and fibre available and a smart TV with popular apps connected to the internet. However, you will need to sign in to your own account in order to use apps such as Netflix. Alternately, bring an HMDI dongle such as Google TV. We also have a selection of games and DVD's for all ages.
Hihi is a wonderful family holiday location with a safe swimming beach and a boat ramp. Great for sailing, kayaking, diving and fishing.
Fishing is good all year and extra good from Feb to April. Use the stainless steel fish bench to process your fish and then store the catch in the freezer.
There is a great golf course 15 minutes away at Whangaroa and two more within 40 minutes: Carrington and Kaitaia.
Hihi is a 7 minute drive from Mangonui and Coopers Beach with its restaurants, pub, cafes and shops. It’s also a great place to fish from the wharf at certain times of the tide.
If you enjoy mountain biking and kayaking there are interesting places to explore. Just discuss this before you move in. Our family are keen on sports so we can give you many suggestions on how to make good use of the area for biking, running and fishing. We might even tell you some great fishing spots!

We will discuss our expectations with all visitors. It's the usual things such as water conservation, where things are, smoking outside etc. .
NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to clean the house and do the dishes before you leave. However, we will clean it for you for a small fee if so desired.
