The Aspen - Luxurious Holiday Home

Enjoy the spectacular vistas of the Remarkables and Lake Wakitipu to Queenstown Gardens from all living areas in this house, located in the exclusive and quiet area of Aspen Grove. At night you can sit by the fire, and gaze upon the lights of Queenstown and the bay, or take in the stunning scenery from the hot tub located in a private garden setting. A gourmet kitchen, part of the main living and dining area, allows the chef to enjoy the company and conversation whilst still enjoying the stunning views which make Queenstown the premier tourist destination in New Zealand. Each bedroom is equipped for privacy and luxury, two have ensuites, and the other two share a separate bathroom complete with private spa bath. All bathrooms are fitted with under floor heating and warming towel rails for your comfort. All bedrooms have a flat screen television, or you may choose to enjoy television viewing from the separate entertainment lounge located upstairs. Free wi-fi internet connection (unlimited) is included. Go outside to the beautiful gardens and you will discover a private barbecue/entertainment area - complete with views to Cecil Peak and a private hot tub spa. The house is conveniently located - twenty minutes walk or ten dollars in a taxi will take you to the centre of Queenstown's action and night life. Superb restaurants, casinos, night clubs, shopping and tourist facilities are at your fingertips. Located only 500 metres up the hill, you will find a terrific little restaurant, take away and convenience store.
This house is equipped with all comforts to make your holiday memorable. A purpose built ski-gear dryer will take care of all your wet ski clothing and boots.

The house has 4 double Bedrooms and can also provide bedding for additional 2 children upon request. Porta-cot also available.
Groups comprising of guests under 25 years old are not permitted without additional bond and identification.
We expect the house to be left in a clean and tidy condition upon departure, and any loss, breakages and damage may be charged accordingly. Minimum 3 night booking required, minimum 5 night booking required over Christmas/New Year periods.

Great Base to Explore Queenstown From

We had a great stay! Property was perfect for our two families (4A & 4C). Super spacious, well heated, large kitchen with plenty of equipment and utensils and the views could not be beaten!Having two masters with en-suite’s was a big win for us as was the outdoor spa to soothe the tired legs after a day on the slopes. Recently painted interior, a new deck and pieces of new furniture were all great surprises to arrive to. Ann was so easy to deal with, nothing was too much trouble. Will absolutely stay again. Thanks Ann!

Wonderful Property

This place is a gem , all that a group would need .Our daughter got married and we all wanted to stay together. It had lots of room and all the amenities we needed. Kitchen was full stocked with dishes etc for entertaining. The view was amazing, the hot tub was a bonus and it was conveniently located Thx Ann for making your place perfect for our needs

Beautiful views-broken amenity

The views are breathtaking and the location was great. Unfortunately I can’t review higher due to a key amenity-the hot tub was broken throughout our entire stay. We weren’t notified it was broken until we called the manager after we had 5 kids in swimming suits ready to jump in to find it empty. The manger suggested we utilize the downstairs bathtub. The house was clean but could use some updates as the furniture has wear and the exterior furniture was rusty. The views can’t be beat but the glass around the porch had 2 sections with straps around them. Was a large comfortable space for our family just needs some fixes to rate higher. We where offered the cost of aquatic center passes after our departure for the kids (40) but declined.

A poorly maintained property

This property is run down with broken glass balustrade panels held together with strapping, broken tiles on balcony, doors not closing, wobbly leg on table, garden covered in weeds and hedges overgrown, and the spa broke down.

Overall okay, but not what we expected

We had an overall good stay in Fernhill, but apparently the jacuzzi broke just before we arrived and it could not be fixed anymore, due to Christmas period. The bbq was still super dirty and it was very unfortunate but there was a dirty underpants left on a sofa. The chairs on the balcony were rusted and they stain your clothing. Sharlene (the property manager) was really helpful and tried everything she could to provide us with a good stay. However when we got in contact with the owner, she was less understanding about our discomfort. She was implying that we could still cancel the venue, but as a group of 9 during the Christmas period, that was just impossible.

Fernhill Magic

From the moment we walked through the door, we knew this property was something special and we were not disappointed. The views from every window were breathtaking, the beds so comfortable, and as pleasure to find home to after exploring/shopping/ dining. Uber made getting into town and back a breeze, but there are buses also. We were a group of 8 celebrating 70th birthdays and this was just amazing. We all said we would love to come back. I have been holiday in Queenstown for many years and have never stayed anywhere with views like this. Well and truly lived up to its name.

Sports trip

We had several of our children competing in a national competition over a weekend and needed a large comfortable place to base ourselves from. The property is warm and inviting, well appointed and was a pleasure to stay in. Only thing that let it down a little was a lack of maintenance on the spa pool with only a small number of the jets working properly. Our daughters still enjoyed soaking their tied bodies after competing all weekend. Would stay again :)

Lovely House Overlooking Queenstown & Lake Wakatipu

This was our last stay of an 8 day road trip around South Island with our daughter and her 2 friends. What an amazing way to end our trip. The space was as pictured/described, with the perfect layout, very comfortable beds, excellent linens and amazing views. We were delighted with our stay, the amenities and our experience with the owner. Highly recommend.

What a view

This house lived up to its description and photos. We all were entranced by how stunning the views really are and we never tired of sitting on the deck..whether it was morning, noon or at dusk. Close to town but far away enough away from the hustle and bustle. Very relaxing and I'd totally recommend staying here.

AWESOME VIEW!!

Beautiful views and location!! Do not have any negatives to the stay. You do have to drive to many locations but the VIEWS alone are worth it. So much room for family and hot tub a plus. From the states we had a learning curve with the outlets but overcame obstacle quickly. Will come back if in town!!

Wakatipu Wonder

There were 8 of us and this fantastic property embraced us with ease. Using the outdoor hot tub while it was snowing was particularly cool! It was a great base for all us to go back to, rest, relax and recoup for the next Queenstown adventure. We would highly recommend this property.

3 Generations of relaxation and fun

This house was fantastic. The upstairs bedroom off of the living room was perfect for our elderly parents who couldn't do stairs and the 3 bedrooms downstairs with entry via the garage were perfect for the rest of us returning from skiing each day. Views - incredible! Heating was great and plenty of kitchen amenities for us as we self-catered. The surprise package of a beautiful hot-tub was pretty good too. We'd definitely book again.

Great house and Amazing lake mountain view!

The house is nice tidy and comfortable with great view. The family entertainment room is a nice place for kids while the adults are happy to have a wine talk around the gas fire place. It's very convenient with a few minutes driving to the town centre.
