Summary:

Wairua is a four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom clifftop home above Onetangi Beach with wide ocean views, three king bedrooms and a twin room, sleeping up to eight guests. The home includes two living areas, a full kitchen with butler’s pantry, outdoor dining, BBQ, two gas fireplaces, an upper balcony and on-site parking. The unfenced clifftop frontage requires close supervision of children.



The Space:

Wairua is a newly renovated four-bedroom home positioned on the clifftop above Onetangi Beach. The house is arranged across two levels, with ocean views from the main living areas, three king bedrooms and the outdoor entertaining spaces.



The main level contains an open living, kitchen and dining area with large sliding doors opening to the deck. The full kitchen has extensive bench space, cooking facilities and a separate butler’s pantry.



The indoor dining table seats up to eight guests, with an additional card table available. Two gas fireplaces provide heating across the main living level.



Outside, the main deck includes a BBQ area, gazebo, dining table for eight and a separate outdoor lounge area. The deck looks along the Onetangi coastline.



The primary bedroom is also located on the main level. It has a king bed, ensuite bathroom with a bath, walk-in wardrobe, adjoining study and direct deck access. A separate powder room is located nearby.



Upstairs is a second living area with reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating. This space opens to an upper balcony with elevated views over Onetangi Beach.



The second bedroom has a king bed, ocean views and a private ensuite bathroom.



The third bedroom has a king bed, ocean views and direct access to the upper balcony.



The fourth bedroom contains two single beds. This is a compact room and is best suited to children or two individual adults. The third and fourth bedrooms share an additional bathroom with a shower and toilet.



The property accommodates up to eight guests.

Guest Access:

Guests have full and exclusive access to the entire property.



Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out is by 10:30 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged for a fee, depending on bookings before and after your stay.



Please note that this is a cliff-top property with unfenced frontage. Young children must be closely supervised at all times.



The Neighborhood:

Wairua is located above Onetangi Beach. The beach and its cafés and restaurants are a short drive from the property.



Beachfront dining options include Ki Māha, Three Seven Two and Charlie Farley’s.



Nearby vineyard and hospitality venues include Obsidian Vineyard, Casita Miro, Stonyridge Vineyard, Tantalus Estate, Wild on Waiheke and The Heke.



Getting Around:

Wairua is well positioned for exploring the island. Onetangi Beach and its cafés are a short drive away, with Ostend, Oneroa Village, and both ferry terminals easily reached by car.



Regular bus services run from Onetangi, stopping near major wineries including Tantalus, Stonyridge, Wild on Waiheke, and The Heke, before continuing through Oneroa and on to the Matiatia passenger ferry. Taxis and rental vehicles are available, although taxis can be expensive during peak periods. There is easy parking available at the property.



Other Things to Note:

This is a self-catered holiday home, not a fully catered stay. We provide a starter supply of essentials such as toilet paper, coffee, tea, and milk to help you settle in on arrival. Once these starter items have been used, guests are responsible for purchasing any additional supplies needed during their stay.



For properties with a fireplace, stays between 1 June and 30 September include a starter supply of firewood. Additional firewood can be purchased from local petrol stations, Woolworths, Four Square, and Mitre 10.



Beach towels are provided at properties with an available pool or spa. Guests staying at properties without a pool or spa will need to bring their own beach towels.



Wairua is a cliff-top property with unfenced frontage, and young children must be supervised at all times.

The Stay Waiheke team is available 7 days a week, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
