Fabulous Waikuku beach is only 3 minutes walk away through a beautiful pine forest. The patrolled beach (summer months only) is also known for its surfing. After a swim, rinse off under the outdoor hot water shower and sink into the spa pool to warm up (kids love this!).

Walking and biking options are many - from a stroll down the beach to the Ashley River Estuary to a mountain bike ride through the forest to the Waimakariri River.

Visit the popular Waipara vineyards just 15 minutes drive to the north, drive into Christchurch for the day, or try your hand at Pegasus Golf Course.

For evening relaxation, enjoy a peaceful soak in the spa pool. Watch the stars above, listen to the echo of the ocean and put the world on hold for a while!

Waikuku Beach, 25 minutes drive from central Christchurch and its international airport, has a carefree village atmosphere. It has a local store, tennis courts, and a playground with paddling pool and flying fox.
