Our family had a great time! The cabin was just what we needed; peaceful, private, and cozy. The kids had a blast since we are also reading the Laura Ingalls books, they felt like Laura in the big woods! Check in and communication was smooth and easy.

The cabin is charming! We had a wonderful stay, even though we did not venture outside (the temps in the mornings were -9!). We enjoyed the fireplace and the ambiance of the cabin, as well as the jacuzzi. The host was responsive and friendly and made us feel welcome. We would definitely stay again.

Rustic Cabin

Overall, the cabin was good as was our stay, however it was not very kid friendly. All the floors and stairs were wood. The stairs need carpet treds as all of us were leery of slipping on them. We seriously felt like we were staying in Little House on the Prairie, only with modern conveniences. So overall, our stay was good.

Quaint and rustic. Beds were comfortable. Be advised the floors inside are not level in most places and stairs are extremely small and steep. I would caution those with any mobility limitations. Host was easy to communicate with.

A step back in time

This place was amazing all around. The pictures don’t do this beautiful cabin justice. My bf and I ended up being the only two staying here and it was perfect! It was like going back in time. Felt secluded and just so relaxing. Communication with property management was friendly. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic weekend

We had a great weekend staying at this log cabin in Paris, OH. The owners provided us with everything we needed - plenty of fire wood, towels and everything we needed in the kitchen. This cabin takes you back in time and was very clean. The beds were comfortable and there were nice trails to hike on nearby. The only thing I can think of that the cabin is missing is a grill to cook outside, but we cooked over the fire pit each day and that was just as good. We hope to be back next year!

For real cabin...

If you are looking for a real log cabin with modern features tucked away where no one can find you... Its this address. And if you have your grandkids with you as we did it also acts as a field trip. Having a few vacation cabins of my own I was quite inspired with the endless handcrafted items throughout the property. If Dan will have me I will definitely be back when I come to visit family.

One cabin to the next.

Great cabin and learning experience for the grandkids. Dan and Kelley have done a remarkable job with this project. It is the real deal with modern features. I've lived in cabins for over 30 years now. This one is impressive. Any issues are resolved immediately.dd

We came with the intention of "unplugging" for a couple days, and this was perfect! We have 3 kids that are fans of "Little House on the Prairie" so this was just what they needed. We brought games, food, good books, and lots of firewood and just hunkered in. My kids loved playing dress-up in the provided costumes and we took a lot of fun pictures to remember our stay. Definitely family friendly and a fantastic, intentional way to get away from internet/modern tech and just build some memories and deep family time. The jetted tubs and awesome hand-made furniture kept my kids interested and we had such a wonderful time. Will definitely recommend to friends and family, and we'll probably be back in the spring/summer! )

Interesting

I found it adventurous as I had always been interested in a log cabin. But our yound adults did not care for it. I enjoyed the surroundings; the serenity of the wooded areas. No regrets. My 91 year old Mom was fine with it as she is used to country living. It is good aftter all.
