*Balcony Spalling Work Notification:
Please be advised that spalling repair work on the balcony is scheduled to begin mid-June 2025 and continue through August 30, 2025. Work hours, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Expect noise disturbances, including jackhammering and drilling during work hours. Balcony access will be restricted for safety reasons throughout the duration of the project. The entire building’s spalling project is expected to be completed by late December 2025.

The Ilikai Marina located at 1765 Ala Moana Blvd on the 15th Floor.

The first night we moved in the shower was leaking water all over..the maintenance try to fix it the next day… said it’s temporary fix and parts are ordered from main land…the shower broke again the same night… being on vacation and not being able to shower after swimming doesn’t feel right… the unit is very run down and needs repairs … its in poor condition.. do not stay there if you want a clean functioning place .

It was...fine. Great location, lots of parking available in garage, and nice comfy bed. The building and unit were clean, but just a bit dated & tired. The unit is stocked with the bare minimum (ie no food storage containers, spices, coffee filters, nothing). The listing stated that there was work being done on the lanais which should be completed the end of August, it's not even kind of done. The lanai is locked and it is super loud when the work is actively happening. City views are nice & a/c is good. Again, it was...fine.

Great Place to Stay in Honolulu

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great. The view was outstanding. Room had beach chairs to take with you to the beach. Everything was in walking distance. Beach, shopping mall, shops, park, motel shops, just a great place to stay when in Honolulu. This will be my spot to stay.

Unfortunately, the balcony was not accessible, and we were not able to open the window at night. So, the unit was really hot, air conditioning is too noisy to have it running all night. Furthermore, the construction guys arrived at 8:00 am to fix the balcony, in front of our window, making noise, which is not expected.

The room was very clean. All info was received in advance. There were even beach chairs to use. I would definitely use this location for my next visit and future.

Unit not prepared upon arrival and check in

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was great. Bed was very comfortable. Building was good and fairly quiet. When I arrived and entered the unit I attempted to turn on the TV which normally is a simple process. The TV was not working along with the cable box. I spent my first hour trying to get this equipment working then called the rental company to get someone to fix it. No one showed up so I went to their office in person and a woman there called a maintenance person to get someone to the unit to fix it. They arrived and I spent my second hour standing by while 2 people tried to get the TV and cable reset and working which should have been done before I arrived. I hold the owner of this unit partly responsible for this situation as this TV is about the cheapest TV you can buy at a Walmart and once they got it working it never really worked well. The sound was terrible and I continued to have trouble just simply turning it on which at times could take me as much as 30 minutes. Then the so called wifi also was not working. They showed up and tried to fix this but I could never connect to it wasting more of my vacation time and I gave up on it. Luckily I brought my own traveling Modem and connected immediately. Starting out a stay with these problems after traveling 5000 miles really spoiled the experience and I would not recommend this rental company or this unit to anyone. More problems in the kitchen I found were tiny brown granules all over the counter around the sink and under the microwave. Don't know what that material was but I cleaned it up and disposed of it. The oven had to temperature settings and the door would only open about 7 inches before hitting part of the wall. The sink in the bathroom had a very slow drain so must have had a clog which the maintenance or cleaners did not fix. To sum it up the rental company and owner of the unit only interested in taking our money and not interested in providing the customer with a quality stay.

Not clean, no AC, no balcony access

Central air conditioning did not work because there was a small AC appliance installed. As a result, we could not open the window to let in fresh air or use the balcony. This was not shown in the photos, so it felt deceiving upon walking in. The room was always above 73°F because the AC unit did not work well at cooling the space at all. We saw a couple of small roaches on our first night but did not see anymore after that. The place was not cleaned very well as the bottom of my feet would be dirty after showering then walking around the room. We also found some blonde hairs from a previous guest (we have black hair). The app this company uses for communications also does not work. They link it in their emails but it just takes you to a broken Google Play page. They did respond to direct emails pretty quickly though.

i booked this room for 4 days , the room does not look like the picture, even though i paid for 4 days we left after only staying one night and booked next at a much nicer resort , THERE WAS A ROACH in my room !!!!, i couldn’t stay there anymore, no refund was given , host offered to clean the property but that doesn’t work for us . so i had to pay for 2 different properties at the same time. exspedia was no help also they keep calling me them put me on hold and nothing, worst place ever

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location. Most tour transport is only a few minutes walk. Great view of Diamond Head and Friday night Waikiki beach fireworks. Bed was comfortable. Pull out bed not as comfortable. Pull out mattress was a bit dingy should be replaced. Rented this particular place for the kitchenette so we could cook and not spend so much on eating out. Was unable to use oven because the oven door was too close to the wall and would not open. Used microwave, toaster and stovetop. There is also a pest issue. We saw tiny baby roaches regularly. The water pressure is great in the tub mediocre in the shower. One great plus is Netflix was provided.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Disappointed with the conditions here as the unit felt old. We had to leave after one night of stay due to a roach problem. Luckily management was kind enough to refund us. Along with an hefty cleaning fee, you’re also responsible for taking out all of the trash yourself according to property policy.
