Sea, bush and gardens surround Mason Lane Apartment

Water, bush and garden views from this fully self contained apartment with separate entrance and own carpark right outside. Quality linen and furnishings, large shower with great water pressure. Kitchenette is fully equipped with microwave, small oven and portable hob. Dine at counter overlooking the Whangarei Heads or step out and dine on the sunny deck. Weber BBQ available during summer months.
Please note that due to the layout of the apartment a heatpump/aircon unit is not viable and instead heaters/fans are provided. The apartment gets the morning sun. Bedroom has double glazed windows.

SKY, Netflix.
Spa pool treated with minerals not chemicals and heated to suit the season.
Paddleboards, kayaks, and bikes are free for guests usage - these are shared with our other two apartments located in front of this property. Paddle round historic Matakohe (Limestone Island) or into the Whangarei Town Basin. Bike into town through the Waimahanga Track. Put your walking shoes on and tackle the beautifully scenic walks close by.
Bring your golf clubs and work you way through the 4 clubs within 10-30 mins drive, 8 more 1-1.5 hours away and the prestigious Kauri Cliffs and Carrington an easy day trip.

Airport pickup can often be arranged.

Mason Lane Apartment is your ideal base to explore magnificent Northland.
A short stroll to a top restaurant, 2 mins drive to airport , 3 mins drive to small shopping centre. 10 mins drive back to Whangarei central and vibrant Town Basin area with restaurants, bars, cafes, specialty shops, markets and walks. Situated at the entrance to the stunning Whangarei Heads, dotted with amazing beaches, bush and mountain walks. 40 mins to Tutukaka Coast -home of the amazing dive experience and again a myriad of beautiful beaches.

Mason Lane is an oasis at the end of a day out sightseeing, adventuring or working.

Expectation is that the apartment is left in a tidy state upon departutre.

Oasis away from Auckland

Ideal for the long weekend away from Auckland. So much beautiful scenery and wildlife. Great location for some adventuring as well. Thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the spa or on the couch with a spectacular view. And the hosts were awesome, with some fantastic recommendations (topsail is a must do dining experience).

Brilliant Place to Stay

Brilliant apartment and Leeann was a superb host. Fabulous views out to the Heads. Immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the property. :)

Beautiful property and location

Megs and I had a two day stay while conducting business in the area.Beautiful unit, very stylish, clean and tidy. Everything needed plus more for a stay, excellent spa. Lovely location beautiful views across harbour and a short stroll to yacht club area. Already booked return.

Great quiet escape for a weekend away

Stunning one-bedroom bach with private hot pool and ocean views. Perfect for couples. Cozy living area, well-equipped kitchen, and secluded beach access. Unbeatable views, relaxing atmosphere, and romantic ambiance. We'll be back.

Wonderful property in an outstanding location. Surrounded by nature, with bush and sea views. Love hearing all the birds. So many little extra touches too. A real home from home. Spotlessly clean and so well equipped.

Beautiful aoartmrnt

The apartment is very well equipped, and spotlessly clean. We loved sitting outside with a coffee and watching all the boats on the harbour and the sunsets. The bed is very comfortable and all the linen and towels are good quality. We didnt see the hosts, but had excellent communication before and during our stay, checking to see that we had everything we needed and making sure we were having a great stay. 10/10 recommended, and we'd stay here again for sure.

Absolutely excellent!

My husband and I stayed at this property for two weeks and everything about our stay was excellent. The suite was very clean and well supplied. The neighborhood was great for walking and it was a short drive to the grocery store where we found everything we needed for our stay. The hosts, Leeann and Warwick, were friendly and knowledgeable and a pleasure to meet. We would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the Whangarei area. It was a great base for our visit to Northland with lots of golf options and interesting day trips.

Perfect long weekend getaway to spoil yourself

Mason Lane Apartments exceeded all our expectations. The location is calm with gorgeous views that can be enjoyed from the deck and from inside the place. Leeann and Warwick have furnished the place incredibly thoughtfully and are downright generous with the amenities, appliances, and conveniences that they made available to us. Leeann was communicative and present and was available to answer any questions. Overall, we had the loveliest long weekend here and would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

This property was exceptional. The view were breathtaking. The property was very clean, tidy and well appointed. The communications with the owner/ manager was great and they were very friendly and welcoming. Nice special touches as well (chocolates). Having stayed at 6 different locations in Northland over 10 days this was the best. What a gem.

The apartment was fresh, clean and modern with a lovely view overlooking the water and Limestone Island. Leeanne had thought of everything and added nice touches - small chocolates, condiments in the cupboard with honey for your tea as well as instant, pod and filter coffee and several different teas plus didn't skimp on the milk. There was also a new toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom should a guest forgot to pack one. Everything was good quality down to the shower gel and hand soap provided.

Best accommodation ever!

Can’t speak highly enough of Leeann and her hospitality! From the first contact of booking to the very last day, Leeann was very accomodating. The house was perfect, the location was beautiful, the house was stocked with everything needed. Loved that there was paddleboards and kayaks to use. Nice and peaceful. Definitely deserving of 5 stars! Thanks for having us enjoyed every moment of our 1st wedding anniversary

Brilliant in every way

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had everything one could need plus many extra touches which added a layer of luxury! Beautifully peaceful, fabulous views and kereru, tui, fantail, morepork, and a myriad of seabirds to soothe the soul. Loved everything and wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Whangarei!

Have spent most of my life in Northland and enjoy travelling around NZ and occasionally overseas. Began hosting part time with one apartment 20 years ago and then added two more apartments 8 years ago turning it into my full time job in 2020. I enjoy making the apartments your home away from home and welcome many repeat guests from all over the world.
When I am not looking after all aspects of the apartments I enjoy getting out on the stunning bush walks we have or a bit of boogie boarding at one of the many beaches in the area.

So close to Whangarei CBD but also a world away. The views are incredible whatever the weather and there is always something happening out on the water from yacht races to orca playing. An ideal spot for day trips around the Northland regions.
