This is a great family beach house with all amenities, A leisurely 3 minute walk to the main beach which is popular surf beach and the same distance to the estuary which provides a safe swimming area for the littlies. . Whangamata offers something for everyone, golf, tennis, boating, fishing with a great selection of restaurants and cafes, , fabulous shops, Marina and Boat Club. Pop across the road to the Estuary Store and Takeaway where you can hire bikes and kayaks all fun extras to enjoy.

Whilst I did not met Laura and her family it was my pleasure to host them. Laura took great care of the property leaving it clean and tidy and I welcome them back and would recommend them to others offering famiy accomodation . Summer holiday - February 2026

We had a great time staying here. Prime location a stones throw from the beach, the place is tidy and kids enjoyed the house aesthetics.. very charming.Great communication from the host will definitely stay again

Host was quick to reply to my queries. We felt that the house needed an upgrade and maybe some personal items of ornaments etc be removed On the whole it was fairly clean. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery and utensils. The house was comfortable for our family and only 5 minutes walk from the beach.

It was a pleasure to host Anne and her family during their stay in NZ . The weather was dissapointing and rainy whilst they were here however I understand that they enjoyed the proximity to the beach. Anne took great care of our family bach, leaving it clean and tidy I can recommend her to other hosts offering family accomodation.

Sarah and her family celebrated Christmas, it was lovely to host a family taking time together to enjoy beach life. Thanks to Sarah for leaving the property clean and tidy and I can sincerely recommend them to other hosts.

Family getaway

We found the Bach ideal for our requirements as it was comfortable , child-friendly and had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom It was an easy stroll to the beach and estuary and the corner dairy The deck was great for a wine and family meals

Pefect base for our stay!

We were in Whangamata for a surf lifesaving comp and this was a great base for us! Clean, tidy and had everything we needed. :)

Super accommodating host!

Plenty of room to spread out for our extended family of 6, with fabulous deck and well equipped kitchen. Close to Estuary Shop and beach/river within walking distance. Super accommodating host for when we were stranded due to Cyclone Gabrielle. Beds were very comfortable!

A comfortable, authentic bach experience with lots of space for the family to enjoy. Not flash, but comfortable and with an awesome outdoor deck great for all of the family and friends to relax on and barbecue.

Just a short stay

Great stop over for two nights. Older style bach with everything you need. Awesome outdoor area with big deck to enjoy the sunshine and loved the fact that linen and towels were supplied - walk in walk out. Not quite swimming weather but the beach is only a hop, skip and a jump away! Thank you for having us.

Great traditional Bach

Great Kiwi Bach! Very comfortable with all the things you need for a beach holiday and plenty of space indoors and out. Comfortable beds and a heat pump too, which we didn’t need, as there was a good sea breeze. Fabulous location down the Estuary end of Whangamata. Rechelle was a wonderful host, very friendly, helpful and easy to deal with.

Classic bach

Great location about 100m from Whangamata beach. House is comfortable and well-equipped although it could use a little bit of an update. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

Perfect kiwi bach

We so loved staying in this proper kiwi bach. Weather was perfect so we lived on the massive deck, kitchen was well-equipped for preparing food. Beach and river both close enough for multiple swims a day. Awesome and will return again.

Cute 80's Vibe

Nice n cosy, lovely and clean for our Queens Birthday weekend. Superb location to the Estuary. Menus and walk guide were super helpful. The Round About (I think thats what its called) Fish n Chip Shop deliver which was super helpful, must call to organize, and theres an option to order online. Thankyou for a great stay.

What a wonderful Bach. In a very quiet location, 1 minute walk to beach and estuary. Takeaway and convenience store across the road, which has everything from ice creams to paddle board hire. Very comfortable beds. Extremely well-equipped kitchen. Large back deck with great indoor, outdoor flow. Plenty of parking. Neighbours close. Extremely welcoming and generous owner who allowed us to stay longer which was very much appreciated. Just lovely!
