Absolutely loved this place! A great property just two houses from the beach — we honestly didn’t want to leave. There was plenty of space for two families, giving everyone room to relax and enjoy themselves. The house is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need.We’d recommend doing a supermarket run on the way, as the nearest Four Square and shops are about a 20-minute drive. The setting is incredibly peaceful and relaxing — you can hear birds and even kiwi at night. The neighbours next door were super friendly and really helpful.Dan is an amazing host, thanks again for such a wonderful stay. We will 100% be back!

Waiheke dream

Loved the property with proximity to the beach with a variety of outdoor entertainment areas to entertain. The home had everything we needed to keep us entertained and the younger ones. Highly recommend.

Great house

Fantastic house for a large group with plenty of space. Well equipped kitchen with everything you would need. Kayaks were a hit with a beautiful bay 1 minute walk away. We really enjoyed using the pizza oven too. Would recommend.

Great pizza oven!

Okay.. first impressions. Driving into the driveway, really cool looking house, open space, cool architecture. Plenty of space for the 8 guests. However… there was an interesting odour throughout the kitchen and living area. It did not disappear despite our best efforts. Plethora of kitchen supplies. The dishwasher might need a clean.. maintenance. We were pleased to find the espresso machine operational, although it may need to be maintained. The facilities were acceptable. The pizza oven was a success despite our obvious inexperience i.e soggy bases.

Master bedroom and ensuite with private deck was quite separate and private which was nice

Delightful 90s style home with levels separating bedrooms creating more sense of privacy. Beautiful ferns and forest outside bedroom windows. Spacious quality home very good value Owner was quick and prompt communication

Fun holiday location

Lovely getaway

Very quirky house, very well equipped. Lovely place to stay. Loved the Rocket espresso machine, the kayaks and the proximity to the beach. Excellent advice to bring our car. You need to be a confident driver as the access road is quite narrow and windy for 2 way traffic.

Quiet spot, big house, great spot to connect with your group

House is well set up and equipped with all you need. It's pretty secluded so make sure you grab your supplies before you head down. Make sure you rent a car coz you need it. Once you get there it's great to just enjoy it without having to return to town for supplies. Kayaks were awesome. Water just a couple of minutes walk away. Would stay here again. Another side of Waiheke

A rare find for a great weekend with friends. Not many offer four comfortable double beds, enough space for everyone to do what they want, and a beautiful beach with lots of easy walks right in front of the door. This is certainly another side of Waiheke, away from the tourist hustle showing off a Waiheke that not many know.

Perfect Stay in Waiheke

"Sanctuary Orapiu" is a delightful gem hidden in Waiheke . Perfectly maintained property with a lovely garden. The rooms are done with a lot of taste and creativity. House is comfortably furnished with ample utensils in the kitchen. We very much enjoyed the serene and relaxed atmosphere of this place which clearly bears the stamp of its wonderful host . Definitely look forward to coming back as soon as time permits.

Spacious and peaceful

Big spacious comfortable home. Lovely big sunny deck. Lots of native birds. Quiet little bay with a pontoon which was great for the kids and short walk over the hill to the jetty, also great for the kids (and fishing). Good kayaking. All very peaceful.

Spacious but grubby

While the property was a good size for 6 adults and the kitchen was well equipped the cleanliness overall was poor despite paying a cleaning charge per person. It was also very cluttered. Linen etc was well used and could definitely do with replacing Location was good with a couple of nearby walks.

One night on waiheke!

Wish it could have been much longer. The house was absolutely amazing! So much character, so well stocked and having a fair already laid was an amazing touch. Will hopefully be back in future for a longer stay

Fantastic private location and a lovey home- just a few steps away from a beautiful private bay. The house big enough to give everyone their own space and the living area is a great space to share a meal and enjoy a drink by the fireplace, we really felt at home! Wonderful place to get away from it all

Amazing location, just steps away from a marine reserve. The house is very large, and perfectly laid out - ensuring big groups can all have their own space. The kitchen is brilliantly equipped, with everything you could possibly need!

Hi The beach is 70 Meters down the road Flat easy walk with a picnic table, there is walks both ways from the beach west to pearl bay ( very nice ) or east to Orapiu wharf (first 300 mtrs easy) both walks are up hill so require exercise
The house ,you can drive to the house with a level entry there is internal stairs up to the first level Lounge, Kitchen, Large Deck & sunroom bedroom (bedroom 4) , and approx. 7 steps in the internal conservatory to the bathrooms and 5 more to the 2nd & 3rd bedrooms
We have converted the library / sunroom to a 4th bedroom on the main floor adjacent lounge and kitchen which opens to a sunny courtyard probably ideal for the older folks
there is a mooring we have access to, we have a single & big double kayak which can be used Free with a signed waiver
note the hot tub is NOT included as we are not there to control the water quality
there is wood there for the pizza oven so bring your fav ingredients
FIRE CARE during dry periods
We are 15 Km From the Nearest 4 Square Shop at Onetangi approx. 18 Km To Countdown
your own or rental car is advised
