Clean and comfortable room with private ensuite

We are experienced hosts and travelers and we are here to make sure you have the best possible stopover on the East Coast. Looking to make this trip special? Stay with us and we can help you get the most out of the hidden places that most tourists don't see.
*The guest room is in the village of Tolaga Bay, away from the main road and 4 minutes walk to the beach. We have a large section with neighbours on all sides, no sea views but a spacious garden with lots of fruit trees. It is our home and our place of work, it is private and quiet bar the crashing sound of wave on stormy nights.
*The guest's bedroom and bathroom are independent from the main house and have been renovated with contemporary fittings but retain a very relaxing beach feel using salvaged or recycled materials wherever possible. The bedroom, has a heater, an electric blanket and a fluffy and warm duvet in winter and a fan in summer. The accommodation is super clean and comfortable, the room is medium size with a slat queen size bed made up with quality fresh linen, duvet, blankets, pillows. Towels, soap and shower gel are supplied in the guest's private bathroom.
*The room is self contained with a kettle, tea and coffee, a small fridge and a microwave to cater for the most basic requirements but there is NO KITCHEN and no access to cooking in the main house.
*Guests park on our off-street driveway in front of the house and have their own private access and their own key to the room and private bathroom which opens onto a deck space. There is no access to the facilities of the main house, however we are readily available and close by if you need anything.
*Other than showing you around when you arrive we'll completely respect your privacy and leave you alone without being disturbed. Fishing can happen on good days, and guests are welcome to hop on board our little boat for a ride in the bay.
*We are happy to give you tips and direction to local activity and places of interest.
Special conditions:
Please note that individuals with a known allergy to bee sting should be aware that there are a couple of beehives on the property. However the bee hives and bee flight paths are located at the other end of the garden, well away from the guest room.
