Quick Walk to Beach and Ocean Views - multi family

One of the truly great bays in the Far North. Great boating, diving, fishing, surfing (sometimes) and walking with fantastic views from the deck, bedrooms and property.

Roll up to this two storey bach which is at the end of a good length driveway. The section opens out onto the clean tidal eastuary, allowing boat and paddle board launching in high tides, direct from the property

If you have a smaller party please enquire about a discounted rate for part of the bach only. Please note there is no Wi-Fi at this Bach

Pre warning. We will always ensure there is sufficient water but in summer we do ask guests to be reasonable with water use as we are on tank supply.

Our family had an amazing stay over Christmas last year! The location is phenomenal, a quick 4min walk to the gorgeous Tauranga Bay. The house itself is huge with plenty of space for your family to spread out, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook for a big family, and everything you need to enjoy your stay has been thought of and provided. The host is super communicative and responsive, and even let us check in early on the first day. Would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful Bach :)

Stunning location - easily a twelve out of ten. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The bach is divided into two with the main dwelling upstairs. A little tired but charming and spacious and a quintessential kiwi bach. Easily accommodated 5 adults from blended families and potentially would have slept 8 comfortably if all from the same family. The downstairs flat was very tired particularly the queen bedroom and there was a smell which was quite musty. Downstairs does need a makeover. Very clear communication from the host and the bach was easy to find and access.

Family holiday

Great house for our multi-family school holiday break. Two separate living spaces. Easy access to beach, and a safe estuary for kids to play in out the back door. Lots of grass for running around on. Ocean view from the deck. Close to a safe boat ramp in Whangaroa Harbour.

magic spot

what a great spot. plenty of separate rooms with lots of beds in each room made it easier to be able to have some space while being able to have everyone in the same house.

Lovely Bach, but feels like it needs some work

Tauranga bay is lovely and views from the Bach are awesome. The beach is stunning. The beach is much better for little kids at low tide, as it does have quite strong waves at high tide. The estuary is lovely, unfortunately it does have a long term water quality warning on it. Despite that we still swam in it and the days we were there it looked clear- especially at the sea end where we saw lots of fish. The Bach feels a little unloved. The outdoor furniture has gone mouldy, the downstairs area we didn’t use as it smelt musty. We aired it out. The kitchen pots and pans there wasn’t really a good assortment, and considering the Bach says it can accomodate 10 it doesn’t have enough plates. Dishwasher wasn’t working. The main disappointment was a sup, and kayaks were listed. The sup wasn’t there, the two person kayak sank the second we took it out it had a hole in the hull, leaving a small child’s kayak left only suitable for 1. Hayden was good to deal with. I messaged him explaining the problem, he’s said he’ll consider a discount. This Bach has so much potential, it’s currently for sale.

A fantastic holiday home - highly recommended.

We just can't say enough about our time at this beautiful holiday home in Tauranga Bay. The communication from our host Hayden was outstanding, right from the beginning. He answered all our questions quickly and was fabulous to deal with. The location of the home is just stunning and our family loved kayaking in the estuary, swimming at the beach and exploring around the rocks. What a fabulous view from the deck! The home was perfect for our family to stay in. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. We would not hesitate to recommend it and to stay again.

TAURANGA BAY STAY

We had a lovely two nights at the property. Upstairs was lovely and big with a beautiful deck to accommodate all eight of us. Was just a little disappointing that there was no internal access to downstairs and we did have to clean some of the dishes and pots before use. Heyden was great to deal with and allowed early entry, which was really appreciated. Great spot to stay.

Great location

The house my family stayed in with their families was perfect for their children who were all under 4. Lots of outdoor space. Large deck and indoor living area. Handy to the beach and park.

Absolute paradise

This place is located in the perfect spot. Easy access for the boat and coming and going with kayaks and fishing gear. Easy launch for large boats only 15 mins up the road at Whangaroa. Great to launch kayaks and paddle boards in estuary right out in front of house. Short stroll to beautiful beach with great swimming, fishing and snorkelling. Perfect place for two families with teenage kids. Loved this place and will be back before too long.

Ahhh the serenity

We had an amazing stay at this property. The two separate living spaces were ample room for a great family holiday for our group of 6 adults and two teenagers. The place was spotless, the beds were great and everything you needed was provided. The owners were very helpful and accommodating - Thank you Hayden! The location was stunning with the beautiful beach at your fingertips, we were even lucky enough to see a pod of dolphins on our first morning. Lots of nice walks plus kyak, paddle and boogie boards were available to use. Ahhh the serenity...sitting out on the deck enjoying the lovely views, the sounds of the sea and eating the fish you caught that morning...perfect! Thank you again!

Tauranga Bay is a great place for families. The property was perfectly positioned next to the estuary and a short walk to the beach. The deck was great to hang out on, the upstairs living area and bedrooms were very spacious.

Amazing location with gorgeous views, we loved being right on the beach.

Amazing location with gorgeous views, we loved being right on the beach. Loved the deck and the airy and relaxed set up. Lovely quiet spot where you can walk right onto the beach, hear the birds while you’re enjoying a BBQ dinner and enjoy the amazing stars at night. Beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Furniture was a bit old and could do with an update however. Great place to be based to explore the area.
