Peacock Pickleball Paradise - Meredith Lodging

Named after the majestic peacocks that roam the neighborhood, Peacock Pickleball Paradise also boasts its own pickleball, plus a partly-fenced yard, deck and fire-pit on two acres. Given the 300 days of sunshine per year in Central Oregon, you'll love the extra space to soak up sun and indulge your pickleball habit! The pickleball court is also equipped with a basketball hoop!

This open, bright, completely updated home has Joanna Gaines-inspired decor, new furnishings, and three bedrooms for a terrific family stay. Vaulted ceilings, light from a bank of windows, ample seating and a TV make the living room a great place to gather; a sofa sleeper lets you invite an extra guest or two; a second sitting area is perfect for quiet conversation. A fully equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances and all you'll need for eating in; it's matched with an elevated dining room for six and three seats at the breakfast bar. A queen bedroom suite, a full bedroom and a bunk room round out the sleeping accommodations.

You'll be within easy reach of all the activities of the High Plateau and close to the small-town fun of La Pine and the Newberry Natural Volcanic Monument. Hiking, boating, skiing and golf are popular area attractions, and you're sure to find favorite places to visit, whether you stay in La Pine or travel the short distance to Bend, Redmond, Sisters or Sunriver. You'll love a stay in this private country home with its own pickleball court!

Many Positives: Upgraded interior, 4 Beds and roll out couch, all appliances all work, adequate parking, pickle ball and basketball court and equipment in good shape. Linen and towels adequate and clean, 2 bathrooms clean, hot water on demand. TV well appointed, including Guest Netflix (has Ads, but not a problem). Neighbor's Peacocks are a plus, beautiful, friendly birds. Across the street from a fire station - Top bunk bed tight entry & exit. Neighborhood is quiet, but house is close to Hwy 97 so some road noise, but manageable.

Peacock Pickleball Paradise!

What a great place! Looks good in the pictures but better in person. Beds are comfortable and the house was very clean. The home is well equipped for a comfortable stay. Our family of 5 (adults and teens) had a great time and stayed entertained by the peacocks and pickleball court. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone coming to the area.

Great family choice for our Crater Lake trip

House is very neat, clean and well appointed. Kids loved the pickleball court and board games. Suggestions for improvement: Fans in bedrooms! A/C is only in the main room so bedrooms get warm. Fans would also help with road noise. Master bed was very comfortable but the other queen could use a foam topper. Bunk beds are really close to the ceiling and need a ladder that fits.

Decent stay

There were several pros and cons to this stay!Pro- close to crater lake, adorable interior, well decorated, great if you love pickle ball.Cons-close to the highway which isn't shown in the photos, you will hear it constantly. The outside property needs some maintenance which doesn't match the photos shown. The photos of the beautiful town lead one to believe that you are staying close that town but it is not close to this property. The BIGGEST con is that it is labeled PET FRIENDLY, they even have a dog kennel outside but when read the house manual it states several times NO PETS.Lastly the establishment is decently clean but not for the price of the cleaning fee, especially when you find coasters and pickleballs underneath your bed.Overall, fine stay but a bit frustrating that the online posting didn't match reality.

The house is right off the highway, the hwy noise was too much. The rule book was extensive. My elderly mother & disabled son both tripped on dinner room rug. We do not rent vacation homes & pay a big cleaning fee so we can get up hours early to strip beds & more. While we have to abide by a 9pm noise curfew, the neighbors will rev engines late into the night. The rule book was so bad we chose to eat out rather than have our family dinner at the house. We will not be renting thru this company. The house is uninviting & lacks warmth or personal touch. You can tell it’s staged for sale & not comfort. We’ve rented beautiful places for small family get togethers many times. Never have I cancelled meals because of house rules. My mother was worried the entire time, cleaning everything! No front curtains, windows gross & missing a screen. Wasps r building a nest out the back door. I’m not happy & regret spending the ungodly price for two nights. Not even close to worth it. I own property 6 miles away. I know what things cost here. Huge disappointment. When my 72 yr old mom takes a vacation from Boeing & visits, we like to spoil her with a VRBO. I am deeply disappointed & embarrassed as I assured her this was a good place. I will not be suggesting this place or company. There is no rails for front porch. Our 32 yr old son with Down Syndrome needed help getting in the house. He tripped on your dinning room rug that’s lifting up, hitting his head on the table.

Thank you for staying with us and for the detailed feedback. I’m sorry your stay didn’t earn five stars. I do want to clarify that there is no rule book in this home and we certainly do not set certain cooking rules for our guests. The home is not staged for sale, the furniture in there was thoughtfully selected by the owner with the comfort of their guests as a top priority. And the photos on the listing very accurately depict the home appointments, so guests can know what to expect.
