Sobre esta propriedade
Batak Legacy, A Jungle Hideaway
If you want to impress your partner with something extraordinary, surprise her/him to a once-in-a-lifetime getaway in a 150-year-old Toba Batak house surrounded by lush greenery in Northern Bali. Set within lush jungle in a small village of Baturiti near Bedugul, Batak Legacy is seated atop a slope, this house was developed out of its luxurious natural surroundings to serve as a private retreat, for relaxing and refueling.
Spoil yourself to an intimate villa living experience in a peaceful refuge away from the touristy parts of Bali. Soak up the peace and tranquility at North of Bali.
Our villa is a 150-year-old Toba Batak house with a carved and painted facade that features four singa. Originally located in the middle of Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Indonesia, the rectangular, wooden structure was later transported to Bali. The original design of the house was preserved during the reconstruction, and the building is now firmly ensconced in a jungle in Baturiti. Did you know that the island of Sumatra located at the western end of Indonesia is the sixth largest island in the world?
On the ground floor, you can find the kitchen, indoor dining room, bathroom and sauna. (Yes you read it!) After taking a refreshing dip in our naturally cool-temperature pool, we invite our guests to take advantage of our private sauna facilities before exploring the rest of the island.
The space under the roof is closed off with triangular gables about two metres high, is where the living area and bedroom is located. Exploiting the form of its high roof, we’ve arranged warm colors silk drapes to gently frame the space creating a cozy ambience. The bedroom is located on the second floor featuring a super king-sized bed sitting on a teak wood frame and a twin bed located at, what traditionally known as the attic. This is where the local Batak-people would historically store their prized possessions.
The outdoor dining area offers an uninterrupted view of the tropical scenery. Breakfast (included) is typically served here overlooking Mount Agung, unless the weather disagrees. We offer a selection of American or Indonesian breakfast served with assorted seasonal fruit platter, seasonal fruit juice and your choice of coffee or tea. This can be coordinated with your host daily. Floating breakfast is at an additional charge, please notify us at least a day in advance to create the best experience for you.
Luxuriate in an off-the-grid airbnb with access to high-speed internet!
If you feel like relaxing and dining in, we can arrange for a private chef to prepare and serve your dinner. Dining in the privacy of your villa can be quite the luxury!
Bonfire date night is coming soon. ;)
Discover North of Bali with the luxury of your very own driver (included)!
Complimentary 8 hour car service (gas excluded) is given daily. Our driver Iwan, will make your Bali itinerary more comfortable, tailored to your every single need.
