About the home
“SaltCove” is a delightful new double-storey family home in Cowes just a short drive or comfortable walk from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs, a central hallway provides access to Bedroom 1, which features a 43" smart TV, WIR and a dual access ensuite (with shower & toilet), internal access to the Double Garage, a Theatre Room (with 55" smart TV), a Laundry (with washing machine) and through to the huge open plan Kitchen/Dining/Family Room (with 65" smart TV) that provides access to the rear Alfresco.
Upstairs is the huge Bedroom 2 (which functions as a second Master Bedroom) which features a 43" smart TV, WIR and ensuite (with shower & toilet), Bedrooms 3 & 4 (each with BIR), Bedroom 5, a large Rumpus Room (with 50" smart TV), Bedroom 6 (with BIR), a Bathroom (with bath & shower) and a separate Toilet.
Outdoor Areas
Designed with families in mind, the large covered Alfresco (with gas BBQ and tables & seating for 12 people) overlooks the fully enclosed rear yard, featuring a fantastic electric-heated 6-seater spa. The Double Garage (with table tennis table) has internal access into the home, , there is parking for 2 vehicles in the driveway, plus another 2 vehicles on the side access pathway.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are two wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners in the home; one upstairs in the Rumpus Room and the other in the downstairs Family Room, as well as ceiling fans in Bedrooms 1, 2 and 6.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 13 beds, and 2 roll away beds, accommodating up to 18 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Downstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): Two sets of Single bunks
Bedroom 4 (Upstairs): Two sets of Single bunks
Bedroom 5 (Upstairs): One set of Single bunks
Bedroom 6 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
There are also two Single rollaway beds available to be used where required, each one suitable for one adult or child.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
