Great place to stay, convenient, comfortable, an oasis in a lively part of town

Keith was a great host, informative and available. Gastown is a wonderful area, full of restaurants and bars, and close to all public transportation wherever you want to go in Vancouver - direct bus to Granville Island for example. Not that you always need a bus as from there many parts of Vancouver are easily walkable or cyclable. The apartment itself has everything you need, including a fire for cosy evenings (we visited in Fall, running into winter).

Great location and a beautiful view

This apartment is on the top floor of a building right at the edge of Gastown, a great neighborhood in Vancouver. It has everything you need and a balcony that overlooks a bustling area of restaurants and bars. Great for some wine, cheese, and people watching. If you would rather view the water and mountains, go up to the roof deck where you get a spectacular view of the scenery. We enjoyed our stay very much and Keith was very attentive and friendly to deal with.

Great place to stay, access to downtown sites and public transportation

Keith was great! The property was clean, modern, and cozy. We really enjoyed the gas fireplace, the balcony, and roof top patio. Wonderful views of Water Street and the Burrard Inlet looking across to North Vancouver. Great place to set up base camp and enjoy Vancouver by foot, bus and/or train. Lots of shops, coffee shops, restaraunts near by. Highly recommend this spot!

Great Location for exploring Vancouver

Owner Keith met us at the condo even though we arrived around 11 PM. He was super friendly and helpful with information about the area. The condo had everything we needed and was in a perfect location for exploring Vancouver. A car is not necessary as public transportation is a pleasant 5 minute walk from condo. Can't say enough about owner Keith and his property!!!

Beautiful sanctuary in the middle of it all!

I had a wonderful month long stay in Keith's condo in Gastown. The condo was well appointed and the location was great especially for food lovers, coffee lovers and clothing shopping. The Canada Line is a 5 minute walk from the condo and local transportation is easily accessed. I loved my stay!

A Charming Condo in the Perfect Location

First, Keith was fantastic-- he's friendly, responsive and he really cares about the guest experience. I was visiting for work on wanted to rent a condo for the month. Keith's condo is not only comfortable, it is the perfect location and the patio was an added benefit. I highly recommend this unit based on my experience!

Great five days in Vancouver

If you want to stay in downtown Vancouver and if you want to be close to restaurants, galleries and coffee shops, and if you want to be be steps from public transportation, this is a great place to be. The condo is very well equipped, it is very comfortable, very clean and in a very interesting neighborhood close to downtown Vancouver. The owner, Keith, is very helpful and takes excellent care of the property. We enjoyed our time in Vancouver and in the condo.

The Perfect Holiday Rental!

We love Gastown so staying here was an easy decision. Morning coffee on the lovely sundrenched (south facing) private deck was a great thing to wake up to. The condo is steps to Vancouver's top restaurants, is close to Stanley Pak and a short walk to The Canada Line. Taxi's are also right across the street-flagging them down was easy. The brand new, comfy Queen size bed was also a nice bonus!

Much better than a hotel

This was the first accommodation on our two week trip to Canada and Alaska and was by far the best. The apartment was easy to find from the Skytrain (strange name for a mainly underground Canada Line!) and very handy for the Conference Centre where our tours left from and also the floatplane airport over to Victoria. Most of the shops on Water Street don't open until 11 am so it's a very peaceful street in the morning too. We found the supermarket easy enough and enjoyed take-out from Pekinpah restaurant over the road (order small, they give you loads!). The apartment was well furnished with plenty of closet space. The washing machine dryer was very fast and efficient and it was nice to have a decent size bath as well as the well powered shower. If you're thinking of staying in Vancouver, I'd recommend this apartment. It's quiet despite the downtown location and much more economical than the big hotels. I'd also recommend the Eggs Benedict at Chill Winstons!

The Condo was even better than advertised!

I am pleased to say that the top floor condo with its private deck was even better than advertised. We loved the area-especially all the great restaurants/coffee shops/clothing stores. Our favourite spots were Chill Winston, Water Street Cafe and Cork and Fin. Taxi's are always available steps from the front entrance and the Canada Line was less than a 10 minute walk up Water Street. Great memories from this trip to beautiful and sunny Vancouver :)

Fab Gastown Condo and private deck an added BONUS!

I love using Homeaway and our condo in Gastown was perfect for my wife and I for our 7 day stay. The proximity to great restaurants made our stay easy and enjoyable, as was waking up and having coffee every morning on our private deck. We rented a car but rarely drove it as there is an abundance of taxis outside the front door and when we didn't taxi we walked to practically everywhere else downtown(convention centre, library, olympic flame,stanley park,steam clock, science world). We will be back. Thanks for the hospitality!

My husband and I were delighted--the space had great energy while being compact (perfect, in fact). Enjoyed the small deck, the rooftop views, the nearness to great spots downtown (we did this trip without a car), and the ease with which we were able to come and go. Highly recommend it.

Great Condo+Great Private Deck+Gastown= 5 Stars!

We stayed at the apartment in April and the next time we are in Vancouver we will definitely be back at the Gastown rental. It was clean and delightful. The space was perfect for the 2 of us and the private deck was also an added bonus. Gastown was better than even advertised with dozens of great restaurant choices, coffee shops and wonderful clothing shops popping up everywhere. Nesters was only a couple minute walk from the apartment where we did all of our grocery shopping. Next time we won't be renting a car! Thanks Keith

Outstanding

This was an outstanding location, and the management/owner is awesome. Amenities are as described, and the views are better than the pictures show! For getting to the convention centre, this took us more in the neighborhood of 10 minutes walk, though I walk a bit slower. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect Gastown Vancouver Location

We had a great time in Vancouver recently due in no small part to Keith and his well appointed and perfectly located vacation rental. With his attention to every detail, we lacked for nothing. The room is stocked with maps and literature of area attractions, in addition to any essentials that one may not remember to bring along. Thumbs up to Keith for his professionalism.

Great Stay,close to Convention Centre/Canada Line

We had a great 6 night stay at the apartment. We especially liked the private deck, cleanliness of the apartment and the great proximity to several great restaurants (one block away) and the 5 minute walk to the Convention Centre and Canada Line was a bonus as I had a 3 day conference. Walking up Water Street and grabbing a cup of coffee on the way was a great start to each morning. Thanks again Keith. A stay!

Perfect Location

The cozy studio for 2 is located within walking distance of everything you need! Grocery store, cafes, public transit, bars, boutiques, sea bus and numerous Vancouver sites. The owner met us upon arrival and was very helpful with acclimating us to our new surroundings. We had a lovely stay in a beautiful city and having this apartment at our disposal was the perfect fit! Coziness in Vancouver

I found Keith's place on homeaway.com while looking for a place to rent for a surprise birthday weekend for my wife, and we were flying in from San Francisco. I was excited by the photos as it looked quite charming and homey. Keith, the owner, was very friendly prior to our arrival. When we arrived at the condo, though it is on the smaller side, we found it just right for the two of us, complete with a full kitchen, queen sized bed, and a leather sofa and chair next to the gas fireplace, which we used every night since it was raining out, and the outdoor patio was a nice touch too. I thought the location was excellent and we were walking distance to most things in Vancouver. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little different with a lot of character.

Ideal apartment in downtown Vancouver

My Homeaway apartment rental experience was a great one. My wife and I usually rent hotels rooms but thought we would try a fully furnished apartment rental this time instead...and we are glad we did. With the private deck, internet connection, fully stocked kitchen and washer/dryer it made our 6 day holiday easy and memorable. In Gastown we walked virtually everywhere and tried some great restaurants steps from the apartment, and found we didn't need a car to get around. Thanks again!

My wife and I spent 10 perfect days in Vancouver in the apartment. The apartment met all our expectaions and the private deck was an added bonus with great city views. Couldnt have asked for anything more

My name is Joey wilson and I am a female from Toronoto, Ontario. I was in need of a place to stay for work for 6 weeks for a work placement. When I started looking I had no idea who to trust and really no idea about a good location. I came across Keiths site and right away thought it looked great. When I contacted Keith he went above and beyond to help me with any questions or concerns that I might have. With all of he had done he made it easy for me to choose his place. When I arrived Keith was there to show me around the condo and explain all that I needed to know, even with tips of good places to eat and shop. I could not have asked for a better location! close to transportaion, dining, and shopping. The place was also sparkling clean (which was one of my main concerns). It was also exactly the way it was described on the internet. With all this being said, I would HIGHLY reccomend this place! you truly couldnt ask for anymore.

The Perfect Getaway Apartment in Vancouver

We just finished off a 10 day holiday in beautiful Vancouver and had a wonderful stay at the Gastown apartment. 5 great restaurants within a block of the apartment, stunning views from our private deck, high-end furniture and a comfy nights sleep made this apartment a winner :) THANKS AGAIN.
