Horrible experience! Filthy, unsafe neighborhood, smelled of CIGARETTE smoke. Cigarette burn in comforter and nicotine tar caked on vent and the host said it smelled in the house because of the wildfires. Screws were drilled into windows to prevent opening, host said it was for our safety to prevent break ins. Dead bugs on window sill, filthy bathroom rugs, food left in refrigerator, dirty slippers in entryway, air conditioning was off upon arrival and it was extremely hot! Advertised sleeping space in basement did not have a second exit. Had encounters with several homeless individuals from nearby shelter. History of a car break in on the property. Just not a good place to stay overnight. We left after 30 minutes when the host told us to spray air freshener and open the windows! Stayed in a hotel instead! Would give a ZERO if possible! Awful experience and completely disappointed in both the host! Find a hotel instead. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Weekend stay

We were attending a wedding in Detroit and decided to stay in Windsor. The little house was perfect for my husband, myself and our two daughters. A Timmy's is within walking distance.

Correspondence with the host was fine. The home itself is decent. The beds need major improvement. We believe the back bedroom bed was broken but all were very uncomfortable even for a quick stay. Parking is awful. Lacked heating in the basement with no extra blankets. The only plus for us was It is within walking distance to the casino and close to some restaurants.

We’ve already scheduled an inspection of the back bedroom bed and are upgrading the mattresses to ensure better comfort for future guests. 🔥 Regarding the basement temperature and extra blankets, thank you for pointing this out. Entire home was heavily scented wondering if covering a smell from must or basement. All rooms had plug in scent emitter so if sensitive to smell i would not recommend. AC unit was very loud. There were many bangs, vent noises etc from the basement at all hours randomly enough to awake you from sleep fearing a break in. We completely understand that scent sensitivity varies, and we’re always happy to remove or unplug them upon request. ❄️ AC & Basement Noises: The AC unit can be heard when running, especially during high cooling cycles in extreme weather. As for the basement sounds, Windsor homes (especially older builds) can have natural vent and duct expansion noises. We’ve had no safety concerns reported, but we appreciate you bringing it up and will continue monitoring it for guest comfort. 🛏️ Beds: Each bed includes a supportive mattress base with an added foam topper for extra comfort, as many guests prefer a softer feel. That said, we understand comfort is personal and are reviewing bedding upgrades. 🧻 Supplies: We provide starter essentials for every stay. If at any time something is running low, we’re always just a message away and happy to deliver more right away 🚚✨ We’re glad you chose to stay with us and truly value your input. We’re continuously improving to ensure a 5-star experience for every guest ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you again 🙏
