Newly Renovated Cottage on Oak Orchard Creek

Whether you are coming to the Oak the fish, relax or meet up with family and old friends, our cottages are a great place to call home during your stay. There is a kitchen with stove, microwave and fridge as well as a newly renovated bathroom and access to Oak Orchard Creek. Need fishing advice, stop next door at Narby's for tips as well as great prices on tackle.

We keep our boat at the dock on site so we are often around if you need anything.

Voted the Best Fishing Town in New York State, people come from all over for the world class fishing. We have kayaks on site for you to enjoy the creek or take a quick drive up to Point Breeze to watch the beautiful sunsets and enjoy dinner at the Black North Inn.

Perfect Cottage for 2

Quick fishing weekend getaway~ great updated cabin, peaceful area, plenty of parking for fishing boat. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again.

I was very impressed by the amenities within the cottage and the cleanliness of it after I was finished walking by the nearby creek. It was quiet, quaint, well kept and a very pleasant stay.

Hidden Gem

What a sweet, beautiful little cottage! Even better than it looks in the pictures. Comfortable, bright, roomy, stocked with all necessities, cozy bed with hotel quality linens. Owner is available and attentive to details. Super quiet river view location. We'll be back!

Comfortable and quiet

If there was more openings we would have loved to stay longer. It was a birthday/fishing trip gift. Highlight for him of course was fishing and for me was the cobblestones houses!

I am so happy I found Catfish Cottage. The cottage is super cute, clean, and cozy. It is stocked with everything you would need for a wonderful stay. A great ending to our day was the fire pit and s’mores! The host was quick to respond to any questions.

Annual Fishing Trip, Old Friends

Property was in pristine shape, everything was remodeled, brand new and SPOTLESSLY clean. Cottage was set up with everything you needed to stay, linens were better then Hiltons. Even set us up with a first morning breakfast. Laura thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommend this cottage for a stay, just perfect for two people. We will be back!

What a beautiful escape!

I’ve been working long hours these past few months. With the current pandemic, I just wanted to find an escape where I could unwind and spend some quality down-time with my partner. I was looking for a cabin or cottage on or near the water and I was fortunate enough to find this gem. It’s just a 20 second walk from my door to the chairs in front of water! The cottage is clean and modern with good WIFI reception. There’s a full kitchen and beautiful bathroom. There is a small, local convenience store with gas station literally next door. It’s so quiet and peaceful here, I’d move here in a heartbeat if I could. And the hosts couldn’t be any nicer and accommodating. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Cozy and clean

Laura’s cottage was perfect for us in town for a wedding. Recently and tastefully remodeled. If you’re not familiar with the area, there’s not a whole lot around so I suggest bringing meals. Laura supplies coffee and kitchen facilities. The only recommendation I would have is to add a picnic table so you can sit outside with your morning coffee. Bed was heavenly! Thank you Laura!

Just right

My wife and I stay here, when available, during our fishing trips to Oak Orchard. It is sooo nice to know that my boat and gear is safe, right outside the cottage, while we sleep. Very clean and easy check in and out.

Nice getaway

Everything was wonderful! Everyone who helped me (bride) get ready for the wedding day commented on how cute the place! We really enjoyed the stay and appreciated the cleanliness and clear directions to the cottage.

Lovely Getaway

Had a great time off the beaten path. The space is lovely and within an hour of Buffalo and Rochester. We had a great time visiting and learning a little more about WNY and Laura made our cottage nice and warm before our arrival, perfect for a snowy day!

Very comfortable Upstate stay just off Lake Ontario

Very easy to do the rental on VRBO. The owner accepted us quickly. Our payment was processed and we received directions and check-in instructions from the owner.

Property is as shown on VRBO. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Lady at Narby's general store next door was very helpful with directions. Neighbors at rental house next door were very nice too. Would rent again. We didn't use the canoe/kayaks.

Great little place

Very clean and great location. We have stayed here multiple times. Check in is quick and painless. Everything is very clean and set up perfectly. The location is perfect for us, because we fish with a boat that is docked at breeze marina just up the road. Laura is great and very accommodating and quick with a response to any questions.

Great place

This newly remodeled cottage is very clean and roomy. My wife and I travel often with our fishing boat and for the first time, in a long time, we felt that our boat and tackle was safe while unattended. Very nice neighborhood and there is a small supermarket next door. We hope to return soon.

Beautiful property. It was very private while we were there. We enjoyed the view while sitting by the fire pit. The cottage was cozy with all the amenities you could want.

Adorable Cottage for Winter Stay Off Lake Ontario

Catfish Cottage was a warm and cozy winter retreat! It is an immaculately clean space with all the basics (if you're baking, you might want to bring oven mitts). The bed was very comfortable and the cottage has great lighting! With the cold weather and warm interior, we had a fair amount of boxelder bugs, but manageable. Laura was a wonderful host and made our stay a great one!
