Welcome to Gulls Getaway at Fin N' Feather Waterside Inn by KEES Vacations!
The Fin N' Feather Waterside Inn by KEES Vacations is one of the last of its kind. Located on the Nags Head/Manteo Causeway, the Inn offers comfortable and well-appointed rooms and efficiencies overlooking the beautiful Roanoke Sound. The historic inn first opened in 1968 and closed in September of 2011 after a bout with Hurricane Irene. Now open after an extensive renovation, the Inn is perfect for anyone fishing the Outer Banks or surfing the Nags Head beaches.

Gulls Getaway Fin N Feather Queen Standard room includes one Queen Bed, a full bathroom, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a mini fridge. This unit is located on the second level of Fin and Feather. 

Gulls Getaway at Fin N' Feather Waterside Inn is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! For a small one-time fee of $50, you can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only.

This property has 1 parking spot for guests.

Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
Check-Out is 10am.

Parking passes are required for the Village Beach Club. Pricing is dynamic based on demand, with a maximum of $15 per day or $45 per week. The Village Beach Club pool is open from May 20 to October 1. The pool is open daily from 8:00am to 7:00pm with lap swimming available from 8:00am to 9:00am.

It was beautiful and easily accessible to the Sound to fish. There was a bridge down the road to fish at and easily accessible to the piers too. Absolutely beautiful

Overall a very good budget option except for the dingy smell We had to air it out for a few hours Thats pretty fixable though It seems there were better rooms for a few dollars more Sorry to rate the pool terrible We didn’t know there was a pool nor have any idea where it would be hiding so it was hard to give an invisible pool any rating at all Yes it was pet-friendly & conveniently located Again overall decent

It does have the sound behind it that guest can use for fishing. We hope to host you again in the future!

It was pet friendly and clean however, we were told if the room was cleaned early then we can check in. We came with our dog and had to wait 45 minutes after the room was already clean to have someone come and “inspect” it but no one came we ended up being able to punch in our code 5 minutes before 4.

Let me begin with the positives. The room was clean, no bugs, newish flooring. Communication with the property representative was done but unidirectional. There isn’t anyone on site, so when we got in after a long day of travel and activities, no one to report issues to; all a series of text messages. Check in simply means using the electronic code to open the door. It was let friendly, and it didn’t smell like other pets, which was great. But, the security chain for the door was hanging by a single screw that wasn’t even able to grip the wood door, it was stripped. The curtain bar fell when I tried to slide the curtains closed to dampen out the spotlights and headlights from heavy traffic on the causeway. The curtains billow and trap the A/C sending it back to condense on the windows instead of cooling the room. The sheets, everything, felt damp the whole time. The shower is small and efficient and the bar mounted too far out of it and curtain too short so every shower made the bathroom floor wet despite the shower mat. We stopped in at one of the newer hotels and found that our stay would have cost a little less for far more comfort so we won’t be recommending this place nor will we be staying here again. My review may sound harsh, but we booked based on other glowing reviews, and well, either a lot has changed or they simply were untrue. This is how I saw it.

We sincerely apologize for the maintenance and comfort issues you experienced during your stay. The loose security chain, curtain rod falling, and concerns regarding the room’s humidity and bathroom setup are certainly not the experience we want for our guests. Your comments have been shared with our maintenance team so these items can be properly inspected and addressed. We also understand that our contactless check-in and communication process may not feel as personal as a traditional front desk experience. While our team is always available through text and phone support, we recognize that this style may not suit every guest’s preference, especially after a long day of travel. We truly appreciate your honest feedback, as it helps us identify areas where improvements are needed. We are sorry we did not provide the level of comfort and value you expected based on previous reviews, and we regret that your experience did not leave a more positive impression.
