Nelia’s cute house was so convenient for my cat and me. We spent mornings and evenings sitting on the front porch, and he enjoyed exploring the back yard.I had everything I needed for a perfect stay, while looking for a home to buy.I will recommend this home to others!

Parking is crazy with the curbs, but just part of WV roadways.Neighbors were very nice. Felt very comfortable with being in a good neighborhood.

It was a pleasure hosting Mark and his wife! They were tidy, respectful of our house rules, and communication was excellent throughout their stay. They were also very understanding and patient when we needed to address some unexpected internet issues, which we truly appreciated. We would happily host them again anytime and highly recommend them to other hosts!

The house was very clean and had a nice flow. We really enjoyed our stay. The communication was clear and courteous. This was a great stay for our family and we would definitely keep it on the short list for future stays.

We are very careful selecting rental properties and we did a good job choosing this one. It's a very nice, updated interior with charm and practicality. Three bedrooms upstairs, nice living, dining, and kitchen downstairs. Modern cottage decor. All the comforts we like to have (cooking supplies, laundry, etc.). Less than 10 minutes from the convention Center and other downtown attractions. Nice location on a hilltop drive. No issues throughout the stay. There is a new Kroger about 5 minutes away, which was convenient because the restaurant selections in Charleston are not abundant. We saved money by cooking at home every evening.

The house was even nicer than the pictures show. The driveway can be a bit tricky, but no big deal. It is roomy and has plenty of sleeping space for all six of my party. Nice place with an updated kitchen.

Really nice place, it's nicely decorated and apportioned. If you look out the back windows you'll very likely see several deer who like to spend their day in the back. If you go out there in the lower part of the back yard bring some DEET and make sure your dog (if you have one) is well protected because there are TONS of ticks in the lower part of the back yard. Not a complaint or anything just a statement is all. We had a good time here.

Everything was great about the property. Very clean, very comfortable, would highly recommend, provided you do not like big family dinners. When visiting our daughter we were looking forward to giving her and her friends a home cooked meal, thus, My only frustration was that while we were visiting our daughter and we felt that we could not enjoy a dinner with her and friends. after the first night when. We awoke we had message that we could not have parties. When I felt I had explained it was Not a "party" just our daughter and some of her friends for an enjoyable home cooked dinner (who pretty much just sat around studying and getting ready for school the next week, and no one spent the night), we were still told that it was unacceptable and if there were more than 6 people, period, end of story. That was a little stressful for us as the whole point of us coming was visiting our daughter and giving her a taste of home

Thank you for your feedback. Happy to hear that our home was well-suited for your visit. It's absolutely understandable wanting to share a meal with family and friends. To clarify for future guests: our property comfortably accommodates up to 6 people total, including visitors, as stated in the listing and house rules. This policy isn’t meant to discourage family time, but to ensure the comfort of all guests, protect our home from excessive wear and tear, and maintain safety standards. There was a lot more than six people in the house on multiple occasions, which exceeds the limit and wasn’t approved in advance. We do our best to accommodate all guests, but we must ensure that our policies are respected.

My husband and I are from Ontario Canada. We love the people of West Virginia, they are some of the nicest people. There are lots of trails to enjoy hiking like the Joplin Park Loop, and New River Gorge Bridge is a sight to see, about 1-hour from the house in South Charleston WV.

Renovated in 2023, from bare bones to a blend of modern comfort with classic charm. The neighborhood is quiet and safe with friendly neighbors. South Charleston offers great restaurants, shops, and attractions, and only minutes to downtown Charleston.

The house has yellow stucco on the outside, so the Yellow-Stone is what we call it. There is a private driveway for your convenience and extra parking on the street if needed. The property backs onto a ravine which attracts a lot of wildlife.
