Very comfortable stay. Loved having coffee and tea and snacks waiting for us! Host was easy to communicate with and any questions/concerns quickly addressed. Location was near the center of town and we were able to walk to many sites. We would rebook.

Comfortable stay close to downtown and many historic sites. I really appreciated the well stocked kitchen including numerous spices!

Great place to stay. Quiet area. We were able to walk to all the places in town easily (Women’s Rights Park, Wonderful Life Museum). We also drove to the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge close by and would recommend that to anyone.We had a minor issue in the kitchen but it was dealt with promptly even in our short stay. We (the older parents) didn’t love the steep staircase but it didn’t bother our teenagers at all! We would definitely recommend this place.

Property was cute and served our needs adequately. Host was wonderful with prompt and helpful communication! Pros- Comfy couch, adequate kitchen set up, clean towels and sheets, great heating, bright task lighting, clean bathroom and nice outdoor seating configuration. Cons - “Stairs” (it’s really more like a ship’s ladder) are VERY steep and the railing does not extend far enough to be comfortable/helpful on both the top and bottom. No drawer/cabinet pulls! Very hard to grasp and open. No variety in pillow density; you get one size, overfilled and fluffy, no variation. No throw pillows for couch and no spoon rest in the kitchen:(

Perfect for a short trip. We went to the wrong door at first but we quickly figured out it was around back not in front of the chiropractor office. Loved how close it is to the downtown strip.

This property was exactly what I needed for a quick visit to the area. It is within walking distance of several bars and restaurants. Communication with the owner was excellent. I hope it's available the next time I'm in the area!

The stay was very enjoyable. Lots of sightseeing available. The only issue we had was at the stairs were extremely steep for us because we are both senior citizens. Other than that everything was great.

From the owner: “We are glad you enjoyed your stay. There is a handrail on the inside of the stairs that is strongly secured. There is lighting going up the stairs for better visibility. Thank you for staying with us, and we are glad that your stay was enjoyable.”

The house was freezing when we arrived during a snow storm might I add and stayed that way for atleast the first 12 hours or so. The yard wasnt shoveled nor did we have a shovel so we had to improvise with the dust pan just to get in the house. There was no salt left out for the very icy entrance. The stove didnt work the whole time we were there, so we had to eat out for every meal (which was a task with all of our dietary restrictions) even though I brought food so we didn’t have to worry about this. The blind on tge doir had big gaps in it so we took a curtain from upstairs and covered the door for privacy. It was a horrible stay from start to finish. We were so disappointed that we just ended up leaving early with no mentions of any compensation due to the unexpected costs accrued!

We appreciate you taking the time to share feedback on your recent stay. We’re sorry your experience didn’t fully meet your expectations. During your visit, we plowed, shoveled, and salted to ensure safe access, and we replaced the blind that had been rolled up on the front door, leaving a shovel and salt in the unit for your convenience. The stove breaker was also replaced and tested to ensure everything was functioning properly. Throughout your stay, we stayed in contact and worked promptly to address any issues. As a gesture for the inconvenience, we were glad to offer a partial refund. We take guest feedback seriously and remain committed to maintaining high standards so future stays meet expectations.
