Great family va-ca

Summer get away. Place was awesome, centrally located, right on the beach. Perfect spot for fam of 7. Would stay there again for sure.

Great location near everything

The unit was pretty good. A few maintenance issues that need to be addressed. Overall, the unit had what we needed, the location was great and the view was perfect. Would come back again!

I am sorry the condo was left like that, we are a strictly non-smoking property and will try to find the guest that caused this and also have a conversation with the housekeepers for cleaning up the patio! Loved walking on St Aug beach, stairs where a little hard but mgr. informed us the access to beach was being redone in the fall to make wheelchair friendly . We will be back!

Family and friends vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First visit to Colony Reef. Booking was easy, check in instructions and arrival went well and unit was very clean. Especially enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony watching the sunrise. Also appreciated the location which was just south of the much busier section of St Augustine Beach. We had no idea it was Bike Week which definitely made traffic a challenge anywhere we went. We all said we would come back to this condo but avoid that week.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’ve stayed at Colony Reef several times in the last few years but this was my first stay in 1310. We loved it! We had ocean view and a lovely, well furnished condo. Not only were the furnishings beautiful, the beds and living room furniture were so comfortable. If I had to give one negative comment it would be that there was a Kerrigan but no regular coffee maker and we had trouble with the WiFi. I’ve already booked this unit again for October.

Disappointed.. loud and noisy

In the evenings it was noisy in the common area.. not very peaceful due to people playing yard games, playing loud music, etc.. it was like being at an outside YMCA.. didn’t appreciate the noise because we wanted the quiet to hear the waves, etc.. very disappointed about that..

Hi Kimchi, Your stay was over the Memorial Day Weekend Holiday, so having families playing games in the courtyard is very typical for our property and most properties here in St. Augustine Beach. Since the children are out of school in the summer Colony Reef Club becomes the hot spot for families to vacation. If you would prefer a quiet time to enjoy the beach I would recommend coming on a non holiday week, such as later on in the fall or winter time. Thanks, Natalie D.

The floors were only clean where you walked not under tables or chairs or sofas. Sofa had so much food underneath the cushions. The dishwasher was loaded sand the coffee pot still dirty with. Old coffee.. when I leave a place it is cleaner than when I arrived because I clean it..

The Condo was clean but we had a few plumbing issues that were addressed by Maintenance. We loved the location of the Condo. The parking was ridiculous that you had to purchase extra parking passes to park in the Overflow lot. Security coming around during the day and threatening to fine guests for having beach wagon/floats outside the door (that was not blocking walkway) while you came in to eat lunch is also very frustrating. I understand rules but give us a minute..... we’re are on vacation.

Good, but expected more

This is a great location and apartment, unfortunately, there were issues with cleaning and the bathrooms. The carpets didn't look vaccumed, had to do it our selves. Popcorn and dust balls everywhere on the floor. The bathroom tub and sink doesn't drain. This is a problem at the beach, sand collected and we had our own beach in the bathroom. Overall, once we got the apartment cleaned up a bit (there were other cleaning issues), it is a great place. Even if there are kids outside and music by the pool, you cannot hear it. It's an easy walk to the beach and the pool, and the beaches here are wonderful. While the location is great, due to the cleanliness and bathroom issues, I have to rate this less thatn 5 star.

Hi Michael, We have already addressed the cleaning concerns with the unit's cleaner, and she has taken action to make sure the rugs are well vacuumed. As you can imagine being an oceanfront property keeping the sand out of the condos can be challenging! Our Maintenance Man has addressed the sinks and tub and got them working properly for future guests. We're happy you enjoyed the location and amenities! Next time you stay please notify us right away if there are any concerns so we can handle them so you can have a comfortable stay! We want all our guests to be able to come to the beach to relax and recharge. Thanks, Natalie D.

1310 Colony Reef Club 12/26/20-1/2/21

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Arrived late on the day after Christmas and followed the simple instructions for after hours check-in with no problems. The elevator was not working at check-in (Saturday night), but was back in operation on Sunday. The condo was very clean and fully in order upon arrival, with all beds made and fresh towels in place. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots & pans, appliances etc. The unit had ocean views from the living area and a large, well furnished balcony provided very good ocean views. Furnishings throughout the condo were fine and the beds were comfortable. The complex itself was very nice. The large open spaces were neatly landscaped and the numerous amenities were clean and very well cared for (outdoor pool, hot tub, kiddie pool and playground, indoor pool, sauna, weight/exercise room, racquetball court and tennis court). There were two large supermarkets within 1-1/2 miles of the complex, and there was an abundance of restaurants and watering holes within a few minutes drive as well. St. Augustine was an easy 10-15 minute drive and offers many interesting historical sites (Castillo de San Marcos, the Cathedral, Lightner Museum, Governor's Mansion and Museum, etc.) as well as many opportunities for dining, shopping, tours, etc. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Colony Reef Club and would definitely recommend the property.
