We had a relaxing time at The Barnhouse for Thanksgiving! It was well furnished and had everything we needed. The game room was a huge hit for our family. The firepit was wonderful and stocked with firewood. Amber was a great host. I highly recommend The Barnhouse if you are looking for a secluded getaway!

Loved our stay and it’s super cute, love the corrugated metal ceilings! The driveway is pretty step if you’re riding a motorcycle and you might want to park below the hill. The garage area with the couch, games and tv was a wonderful surprise and was used every night.

Property was great. Close enough to the West trail head of WPG. Family loved the game room. The drive way is a little steep and we had to unload one of our trucks to get it up the hill but there was plenty of room at the bottom of the hill to do that safely. We enjoyed our time there.

Trail riding

Hello! Vrbo friends, let me tell you about this super cute house that’s secluded from the noise with all the amenities to include kitchen, bathroom, living, laundry right at your hands. Also a perfect place for the kiddos to run and play with a game room makes a great place if weather doesn’t permit outside activities. Don’t hesitate just book you won’t be disappointed.

Great Property

This was a great property to stay at for trail riding Wolf Pen Gap. Loved the garage that we could park our (3) SXS's in. Host was readily available to answer our questions. Driveway is very steep, so just note that if you are pulling a heavy trailer. There is space at the bottom of the hill to unload your trailer if needed. Plenty of parking which is really nice. House is clean and was perfect for us as we had two couples in our party, but could definitely accommodate three couples or a family with multiple children. Easy access to the trails from the roads and I believe the house was approximately 8 miles from the trail head. Has a Keurig, pots/pans, and everything you need to be able to cook. I highly recommend this property.

Excellent home and host

We absolutely loved this house! It was very clean and adorable. We enjoyed our stay so much. The property was secluded and we felt our trailers and sxs were very safe. Close to riding trails, but far enough away also. We would love to stay here again! We can’t thank Amber enough for such a great stay, she was only a text away the entire time if we had any issues/questions. Very very responsive when we needed!

Nice place with plenty of parking

This was a great spot! Soft, comfortable beds with nice linens. We had a great time with our kids in the game room when not out riding trails and exploring. Kitchen was stocked and easy to use. Driveway is super steep topped with loose gravel and may be an issue for smaller cars in rainy weather. Corner showers are small but get the job done. Super comfortable place to stay and hang out. About 15 minutes to WalMart for supplies. Great neighborhood.

Everything was Amazing!

Amber, the owner of the property is wonderful to work with and was incredibly helpful in giving ideas of what to do and where to go. The house is super cute with lots of evening/night options for fun and the location is centrally located between Little Missouri Falls and Wilhlemenia State Park. We will definitely plan another trip there again some time!

Beautiful peaceful cottage in woods

This cottage is beautiful. The place is quiet & peaceful. Our daughter & Grandaughters stayed with us. We played games & laughed a lot. We shopped for antiques in Mena & enjoyed eating at the Queen Wilhemena lodge.

Perfect place in the perfect spot!

If you’re looking for a very nice home to stay in with plenty of room to park trailers and a garage to park the toys in this is it! You will likely need a 4x4 to make it up the hill with a loaded trailer. The garage is awesome it was definitely our hang out spot. The beds are very comfortable, shower pressure is amazing, and the kitchen is well stocked. A few minute drive to town and right down the road from the trails. We will be back for sure!

Great place to stay

Great place to stay especially if you want to go and ride wolf pen gap. There is a garage and you can ride your ATV straight from the property to the trail. Will definitely be coming back here again.

Great getaway with amazing host

We stayed three nights in the Barnhouse. It’s so nice and private. Pictures do not do it justice. It’s absolutely beautiful and so is the property. The master bedroom has a very soft bed, I know that isn’t for everyone, so I thought I’d mention it. The shower in the master has great water pressure. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need to cook besides mixing bowls. There are only cereal sized bowls, but we made it work. Amber was amazing and answered every question we had and was super friendly! We cannot recommend this place enough and we will be back soon!!

The Barnhouse did not disappoint!

The Barnhouse was such a wonderful place to stay. It was clean, private, and had all of the amenities we needed to make us feel right at home. We will definitely stay there again whenever we need another relaxing weekend away in Mena.

The Barnhouse!! Excellent stay!!

The property was very clean and peaceful. My family enjoyed the Barnhouse!! The game room was awesome and equipped with lots of fun things to do. You can take the backroads to get into wolfpen gap. It’s a little bit of a drive but fun!! Lots of outdoor seating and that was nice!! We will def be back to stay here again. Amber was great at answering any questions we had about the area. Just a pleasure to work with! The driveway is steep so I would recommend a four wheel drive especially if you are pulling a trailer. Plenty of parking available for vehicles and ATVs!! Great place!!!

Great getaway for side by side riding. Great Wi-Fi !

My brother-in -law and I stayed on property and the accommodations were wonderful. The beds were very comfortable and showers were good. My wife wishes there was a bathtub but I was just fine. Only hiccup for the trip was there was no drip coffee maker and the ice machine made a lot of noise but no ice. I will come back as it met all of our needs.

Comfortable, quiet and perfect location

This was our second stay here and we really enjoyed it. Very comfortable and cozy with all basic supplies for cooking. Location is great - close to Wolf Pen and so many other trails/CRs to explore the area. Internet connectivity was great for streaming and for remote working.

Wow! Just wow! By far the best VRBO we have stayed at to date

There is just so much to say about this rental. First and foremost... the hostess (Amber) and her husband (Caleb) were simply amazing. Like their property, they each went above and beyond at every opportunity. Some (most) hostesses just rent a property to make a little extra cash. Amber and Caleb, I believe, do it because they like to make people happy. And did they ever! I find it difficult to put into words just how exceptional this couple really is. When we arrived earlier than expected due to my mistake in the booking process, Amber accommodated us a full day earlier and even had a wine, cheese, cookies and olives gift basket waiting, complete with glass wine glasses! What a great surprise. Then when the water line froze because of the severe weather, Caleb came within 30 minutes and spent the next four hours making certain we were good to go. He thawed the pipes, looked for any water breaks and just made certain all was good. He could tell I wasn't feeling well that day and even offered to go into town to the pharmacy to get medicines for me. Second, their property is awesome! The place was clean and very comfortable. We had family come over from their rental cabin for Christmas Eve dinner. The kids played in the garage game room as we grilled on the provided charcoal grill just outside the roll-up garage door. The night was a spectacular success and great memories will last us all a lifetime. As I am a self employed computer software architect and developer, I didn't really consider this a vacation but more of a change of working location. I brought a full office with me basically... computer, NAS, office chair and a folding table. The Internet was very important for my heavy usage needs during our 10 day stay. Caleb owns the WISP and even moved resources around to make my portable office a priority for bandwidth on his network. It was a total success! As I am legally disabled, I always like to give tips to those confined to wheelchairs, etc. There are two bathrooms. Only the one in the master bedroom would be wheelchair accessible. The garage walkthrough door is best for wheelchair access as it is a paved walkway. The house is otherwise very accessible to those in wheelchairs. Wide hallways and most doorways make for very easy access. There is no carpet which is also very nice for wheelchairs. I cannot wait to return in 2023 to this wonderful property. Stay here. It's the best in Mena area I promise.
