Bar Harbor

The house was exactly as described; location was excellent; DeeDee was a wonderful host! She communicated prior to our trip and during - wanted to help in any way possible to make our trip optimal; and it was wonderful! Highly recommend!

The location is PERFECT! Being right outside the Main St. are made it quiet, but walkable to shopping and restaurants. And it is only minutes from the Acadia Park Loop drive and Cadillac Summit. The accommodations were very comfortable: window A/C units and TVs in every bedroom, a full kitchen with all the appliances of home, a cozy living room area, and spacious bathrooms. In addition, our host was friendly and courteous. She even brought us a fresh blueberry pie!We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Phenomenal property and even better host. One of the best VRBO we've ever stayed in (if not the best). Perfectly located in town, can walk to anything you need, but not super close in the dense mix. Was awesome for the fourth of July to do in-town activities and near the YMCA fields for the festivities. Also easy to get into national park when you're ready to do that as well. DeeDee is a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and pleased during our stay. I would stay nowhere else if we returned to Bar Harbor, was that good.

Oh, wow, what a nice review. The 4th of July is always a good time to be here in Bar Harbor. We have great fireworks, as well as the other activities, that happens on that day. It was nice meeting all of you and we are happy that you left with good memories after visiting Acadia! You are always welcome at our place should you return to Acadia. We want to thank you for giving us a review and letting us know you were happy, not only with the house but the location. That is so important when people would rather leave their car in the driveway and not have to fight the traffic every time they go out. The Island Explorer Buses have started up now, so that is a big help in getting to the hiking trails, etc. without moving their cars. Thanks again for staying at our home.

Location location location! This was the perfect spot for our visit to Acadia. Easily walkable to everything bar harbor has to offer, cute playground around the corner and hosts were so gracious. Would recommend without reservation!

Amazing Long Weekend

My friends and I had a wonderful long weekend in Bar Harbor. The house was amazing. Super close to downtown Bar Harbor and the National Park. DeeDee and Scott were super helpful and welcoming. We hope to visit Bar Harbor and stay here again!

This property is exactly as advertised – except that they don’t tell you how fantastic the host family is! DeeDee and Scott made us feel welcome before we even arrived. The house is clean and well appointed. We didn’t need anything extra in the kitchen. The backyard is delightful in the evenings. We will definitely be back!

Loved Bar Harbor! DeeDee and Scott were awesome hosts. Would highly recommend this property.

Excellent property. Easily accommodated 14 guests(9 adults and 5 kids). Great location, walking distance to restaurants and downtown shops!

Wow--I think everyone had a great time !! I know the kids were happy to check out the pool a little ways from the house, even though the temp wasn't 90 degrees. It was a new adventure for them, swimming in colder water, from what they were used to. BUT-- it didn't take them long to jump in. Even though the mornings always looked a little questionable, as far as the weather, it did clear, and you were able to venture off and check things out. Lots to do here as you know, with lots of shops and good food and outside fun. Thanks so much for contacting us and taking the time to do a review. We hope you left with some great memories.

Great place to stay

The property is centrally located such that anything you need is a short walk in Bar Harbor. We really appreciated that the place is well-equipped and super clean, which made the stay very comfortable for our small family and the friends that joined us. The owner is very helpful and clearly cares about the place and guests that stay here!

The location is especially important if you are in a large group and don't want to depend on having to drive to restaurants and shops every time you go out. Glad you all had a good time! Great location! Very spacious!

The house was large with tons of room to entertain and sleep. The bedrooms were big with plenty of room to feel comfortable. Right down the street from the action, 10 min or less walk to everything Bar Harbor. Fantastic location.

Wonderful stay in Bar Harbor

The property was spotless upon check in. Location is simply perfect - 5 minutes walk to town center, less than 10 minutes drive to Accadia National Park. The menagment was very attentive and friendly, going beyond expected to insure we enjoyed our stay.

Girls Trip

The house was wonderful, very clean, great location, very comfortable. We were five women in our sixties, we get together ever year since the early 2000s and this was one of best trips we have had!

50th Anniversary Celebration

Once again, we had a wonderful stay at this property. The owners are wonderful and the location is perfect for walking into town and biking into the park. We hope to come again!

Great house for a big group!

This house was fantastic! It's a quick walk to main street, and only about 10-15 minutes driving to Sand Beach inside Acadia National Park. Super clean, nice backyard, plenty of sleeping space, tvs in every room, wifi...we all really enjoyed it!

Great Stay

DeeDee & Scott were really excellent hosts. Great house for our large family, in a great central location. Easy walk to anything in town, and very close to Acadia entrance. House was very clean, well stocked, and they were super helpful with recommendations, and everything else we needed during our stay.

Thank you, Dan and also to your family that joined you, for staying at our place for your first visit to Acadia. You traveled far, but I think it was worth it, to see and do all the things that were on your list for coming to Maine. ( I heard you even saw a couple moose up the the Greenville area) Glad you enjoyed the daily hiking trips. There are lots more that you didn’t get to do, I am sure, but maybe another time. Thanks again, it was a pleasure meeting all of you. (We are glad the kids enjoyed to Park Street Play Ground around the corner) Nice to have it so close by the rental.

Great Stay!

This is a great house walking distance from downtown. The hostess DeeDee is very responsive. She even gave us pizza one night! Such a gracious host! Would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous home for family vacation!

We stayed here with 6 adults and 4 children, and this home was perfect for us. Walking distance to everything, including a great playground and skate park. The house was very clean, and Deedee was so great to work with. We would definitely recommend this house!
