We loved the place. It was a little hard to find initially, but it was perfect in every other way. We loved being in the woods by the stream, and the house itself had everything you could want. The furnishings were nice, beds comfy and just the right amount of space. Upscale all the way!

The Hidden Cottage certainly fits its name. It is tucked away and the peaceful reset our family needed. Sitting by the creek or leaving the doors open, listening to the water, and birds chirping while drinking your coffee. The home was clean and organized. The record player was a nice addition while cooking or putting together a puzzle. Our family hiked a couple of nearby trails, and cooled off in the water. We will definitely stay at the cottage again!

Absolutely beautiful view of the creek from the house and porch. The house was very clean, with modern upgrades. A lot of outdoor activity available near by like fishing, hiking, swimming holes with water falls, and geode hunting. Highly recommend this property if you like being out of town in the pine trees. We will definitely go back again.

Delightful and very comfortable renovated two-story home situated above a lovely East Verde wide babbling creek. The river view was not impeded in anyway.It was clean with many amenities left by the owner and perhaps by previous guests.Our family enjoyed the covered deck where we ate most meals. We plan to return in the future. The best surprise was the immediate availability with the managing host Paul who responded to our every need with wisdom and kindness.

The setting is beautiful and the home comfortable with the sweetest views. The river behind is more like a babbling creek. We slept well at night - it was peaceful and the beds were firm and warm. We hiked the Water Wheel Trail to see the falls and also tried a few other trails. If you are a hiker or bird watcher we recommend this location. We saw bald eagles and black hawks plus. Payson is cute and has a few shopping and eating places. We are pleased we found this home and look forward to returning soon. Thanks to our hosts AZ Vacation Home Rentals.

Everything was 5 Stars other than communication and Price. Only while there at the cabin communicating was impossible due to no service/only WiFi and as an Apple user I could not contact the host because of them not having iCloud. The price because the fire pit was not working, we were looking forward to an outdoor fire… a lot the neighbors were unpleasant when Apple Maps took us through their private property/driveway, wish to not have an experience like that again. Make sure to check your maps and pay attention to signs. Cute spot for our girls weekend!

Lovely home, was very clean and spacious. Nice and quiet, we loved having the creek right out on the deck it was calming. Host stayed in contact with us, great trip.
