Brigus Luxury Coastal Escape

I’m originally from outport Newfoundland and grew up in a small fishing community not far from Brigus, so Newfoundland will always feel like home to me. These days, I live in Costa Rica with my husband, our four kids, and our much-loved St. Bernese dog—so life is rarely boring!


Family is by far the most important thing to me. I love travelling, spending time together, and whenever possible, finding a little time to simply slow down, relax and enjoy where we are. I especially love getting back to Newfoundland. It’s a place that means so much to me and will always be a very special part of who I am.


Because we aren’t able to get back as often as we would like, we decided to open our Brigus home to guests. This house was built with a lot of love and was never intended to feel like just a “rental.” It’s our home and a very special place for our family, and we love the idea that when we can’t be there, someone else can enjoy it, make memories, and hopefully fall a little bit in love with Newfoundland too.

Brigus became special to our family long before we built our home here. My mom moved to Brigus a few years earlier and quickly fell in love with this beautiful little town—the friendly people, the peaceful pace of life, the coastal scenery, and that wonderful sense of community that makes Brigus so unique.


When we decided to build our home in 2019, choosing Brigus was easy. I loved everything my mom had come to love about the town, but most importantly, I loved the idea of being right next door to her. What started as a place to be close to family became a place we fell in love with ourselves. There’s something very special about Brigus—the winding little streets, historic homes, harbour, ocean air and genuinely welcoming people. We hope our guests get to experience a little of what made us choose this place and why it continues to mean so much to our family.
