The Space:

This sits in the rural locality of Rosebrook, just an hour drive from Portland, Victoria. Nearby Killarney Beach, Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve, Flagstaff Hill Lookout, and local food options at Port Fairy are just a few of the local attractions in the area.



Escape to our pet-friendly stay nestled on a 30-acre farm, offering breathtaking views of Belfast Lough and the sand dunes along the Great Southern Ocean.



This 139-square-foot tiny home features easy access to water, split-system air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.



IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there may be agricultural noise as we are a working farm that tends to farm animals. For a well-rested stay, we recommend that guests bring earplugs with them.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to our cozy tiny home and its surroundings, except for the sheds, which require the host's permission in advance. Also, feel free to bring your own kayak; great for exploring Port Fairy



Lough is easily accessible via a grass laneway, except when farm animals are being moved. If access is temporarily restricted, a sign will be posted at the gate.



Farm Activities & Preorders: To help us prepare, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for the following:



- Farm animal experience – available by prior arrangement.

- Firewood – $20 per wheelbarrow load (currently unavailable due to fire ban season).



Interaction with Guests:

Guests will enjoy your own private space but we are always happy to chat with you.

This is a pet-friendly retreat nestled in peaceful Rosebrook, with Ballarat—the nearest major city—less than a 2-hour drive away.



Adventure awaits nearby with attractions like Yambuk Big Slide, Flagstaff Hill Lookout, and Budj Bim Cultural Centre. Spot whales along the winter coast, wander through Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve, or sip and savour local flavours at Basalt Winery and Noodledoof Brewery.



For beach lovers, Killarney Beach offers fishing and watersports, while Port Fairy charms with festivals, cafes, and coastal magic.

By car:



- 10 km drive from Tower Hill

- 6 mins (7kms) from Port Fairya

- 18 mins (20 KMs) from Warrnambool



- 1 hr, 80kms from Portland

- 2 hr, 13 mins (188 KM) from Ballarat

- 3 hrs, 20 mins (277 KM) from Melbourne



By public transport:



Public transport is not available in our area, however, you can travel by car or bicycle to nearby towns. By bicycle, the nearest train station is Warrnambool (20 km). Taxis are available in Warrnambool and Port Fairy.



If you're looking to travel via public transport from Melbourne:



- Train to Ballarat: Take a V/Line train from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne directly to Ballarat.

Bus to Rosebrook: Check for local bus services from Ballarat to Rosebrook, as options may vary.



Tip: It’s best to check the V/Line website or app for current schedules and any service updates before your journey!



To travel from Ballarat to Rosebrook, VIC, you can follow these steps:



- Taxi or Rideshare: If bus options are limited, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare service like Uber for a direct route to Rosebrook.

- Bus: Check for local bus services, as there may be limited direct routes. You can look for a bus operated by a local transport provider or V/Line services that might connect you.



Tip: Make sure to check the latest schedules and availability for public transport ahead of your trip!



Other Things to Note:

- Breakfast is available at an extra cost

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- No smoking allowed inside/outside the tiny home

- Bring drinking water (or purchase directly from host)

- Late check-ins must be arranged in advance (after 10 PM)

- Full mobile reception, except 2degrees and Spark which have no signal

- We have cattle, horses, donkeys, and a variety of feathered and furry animals

- Given the farm setting, children are welcome under CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION

- FARM GUIDE: Full farm guidelines and policies will be provided prior to your booking.

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

- Pets are allowed by 24 hrs notice and must be kept on leash at all times. The full pet policies will be sent before arrival



Important note:



- Our water supply is rainwater, so please limit showers, particularly in the dry season

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property

- FIRE SAFETY: Outdoor fire pits are not permitted until further notice due to the current fire ban.

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
