Completely Private Location overlooking year-round stunning ocean views and sunsets. The 2000 square foot home has 2 private master bedrooms equipped with air conditioning for your comfort and a fully functional kitchen with an attached great room to enjoy. The house is surrounded by lush tropical forests with attention grabbing Howler monkeys, gorgeous birds and butterfly species for you to enjoy a full nature experience. There are several fruit trees on the property for you to enjoy some fresh fruit when in season.

The 10-mile long secluded beach is a 1/4 mile away. Horseback riding, Surfing, Kayaking, Snorkeling and Fishing awaits you. If you tire of the beach, lounge around the infinity edge pool and feel like you never left the proximity of the ocean. Excellent and reasonably priced local restaurants are nearby, offering a variety of local and international cuisines. Canopy adventures are within driving distance in nearby towns.

The property is located 45 minutes from the Punta Islita National Airport and a 2 1/2 hour drive from the Liberia International Airport. San Jose International Airport provides flights to and from Punta Islita Airport.

Guest there are security cameras on the exterior of the house on the front of each corner for your security.

Great place to stay

The cleanliness of the property was outstanding. Both the property manager and the owner were exceptionally kind and informative, answering all my questions thoroughly. They went above and beyond to ensure a positive experience. 100% recommended.

A True Gem That Needs a Little Polishing

Pros: Stunning views. Private. Peaceful. Solid internet. Good communications with owner and property manager. Great pool. Upstairs suite was perfect. The locals were GREAT. Down to earth and helpful.Cons: Should have minimum necessaries for first night such as bars of soap in the bathroom and one roll of paper towels for kitchen. Owner should consider upgrading his fumigation program to mitigate swarming ants and to seal all areas where other unwanted critters enter the house.Observation: It was a 1 hour bumpy ride to the house from the primary route and the house is somewhat remote. This can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for. BUT I would stay there again under the right circumstances because the owner is a man of his word and is very responsive.

Wonderful get-away and enjoy nature

We enjoyed our stay. You get away from everything.. One evening, we watched a monkey in the trees next to us, Another morning an iguana visited us and another time we watched a coati. We arrived in a car - I would recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Also, we had no problem with the internet or bugs. The view of sunsets and the ocean from the infinity pool was fantastic

Great View

We had a great time at this house. There was little things that could have made it better like letting us know there is absolute no reception 10 miles before arriving. Make sure your “Waze” is set ready to go way before arriving. Also there were many spiders and roaches but we were able to kill them all and conquer back the house an hour after arriving. Besides that, the house was amazing with a beautiful view.

Beautiful property, remote as described

Great place to get away, awesome but quiet town. A few simple restaurants in town, El barco on the beach is awesome. Mike at the butterfly farm was fantastic.

Best uninterrupted view of the Pacific coast yet.

On the plus side this was exactly the quiet, remote location we hoped for. The infinity pool and patio look directly to the river delta that joins the Pacific without interruption of high rise hotels, jet skis or other distractions. We also enjoyed the small town of San Francisco and explored neighboring towns and beaches. People in the communities were without exception welcoming and patient with our meager Spanish. On the downside there was no wifi that we ever accessed except in town. We also had to use bug spray to bomb the house every night after being eaten alive the first night. All this being said, we would happily return to stay there.

This property is paradise on earth

This property is paradise on earth. I actually already had made a review, a very positive and glowing one. I’m not sure why it’s not showing. But here it is again. This property is absolutely stunning. The view of the ocean is wonderful. Sunsets just glorious. The sounds of the wildlife absolutely spell binding. Proximity to the pristine beach is only one and a half kilometres away. Fresh fish at the fish-market every morning at 7 AM. George, Vivian, Daniel and the rest of the Support staff were absolutely fantastic. Friendly, kind and lovely people. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you.

Beautiful location and views.

The home is located on a hill with spectacular views. The front pool area is quite nice and that's where we spent most of our time when at the house. The house has a very nice layout, with large bathrooms and separate sink areas from shower and toilet. The furnishings are quite sparse and appear to be old, so it didn't have a cozy feel. The kitchen needs updating. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Great wildlife!

We loved the pool and view and watching all the creatures including the coaties and resident iguanas and all the birds and insects. The house was clean and George was very responsive. The only odd thing was the complete lack of any condiments or any stuff from previous guests. I️ have stayed in many vrbo homes and there always seems to be salt and spices and oil and such things that accumulate from previous guests. It seems like those things are cleaned out each time. Also we had to buy trash bags and toilet paper and paper towels. Not really complaining just a heads up to future renters you will need to stock up. We had a great time. Thank you!

Away from it ALL

Really enjoyed this place and hope to return. The view really is fantastic and the sunsets superb. Plenty of birds to watch and the howler monkeys wake you up each morning. We wanted rural and that's exactly what we got. Loved the fished shape swimming pool. It's really a work of art and adds a nice touch. The beaches are super quiet here and often times we were the only ones there. Important things to note: The advice about 4-wheel drive is legit. I'm comfortable off-roading and driving in the back country so a lot of times I take these recommendations with a grain of salt. Well, I was able to make it up in 2-wheel drive just for the fun of it but it took some work. It was quite dry when we there but even then the ruts were enough to scrape bottom on our little rental in a couple places. A higher clearance vehicle can come in handy. The internet was adequate for our purposes (checking mail, making on-line reservations, etc.) but if you're hoping to work from home you will be disappointed. Speed test clocked in at 0.45 Mbps. Yes, that's less than 1! Cell service is poor too. We had Kolbi and most of the time it was no service. Bottom of the drive will get you 3G. Go into town and there is nice solid 4G. But we didn't come for the internet. A 5-star would be fancy new dishes and all the little things you might need like hand soap and garbage bags. I'll give 4 because it is very clean, safe, amenities are adequate and the host is quick to reply and very helpful in many areas.

Disappointment

Way too isolated and far from everything. Also, the furnishings are very Spartan and limited. Pool and view were great but the beach was a disappointment.

prison with great view

No privacy, security cameras on everytime. We found out afterwards. The only thing that is great is the ocean view. Then there are other things that need to be repaired or replaced: - glasses & plates - TV, not working - Wifi, was really, really slow - pots & pans (really old) - coffee machine / microwave - beds ( dirty and skin was itching) - furniture & sofa - chairs for outside you have to bring everything on your own: soap, paper towels, napkins, dish cloth, dish soap and spices ( you don´t even have salt &pepper) and everything you need for a good and comfy atmosphere. The road up to the house is only clay soil and mud. It is really not worth calling it a road. When it rains you can´t go to your house. 4x4 recommended !!!! The equipment features are not true. For example not handycapped accesible, because the ways in the house are too small for a wheel chair. The owner knows everything, because some people also wrote it in their reviews. But he blames yourself for it becuase you didn´t ask. We left the house 2 days earlier and the owner says that you should blame yourself for it. Only for people who want to see nobody else.

Costa Rican Paradise

Beautiful stay. Beautiful Property and Location. Superb! I would say that potential guest should be prepped to know that this is a remote location. It's in a very small town in Costa Rica. There is a nearby convenience store about 15 minutes away and from there "town" is an hour away on a dirt road. We were not prepared for this. The home doesn't have a physical address and is challenging to find and actually drive to because of the steep hill and dirt/muddy terrain. This is a place you'll want to stay around the property. It's not really feasible to drive away and come back. If you are adventurous, outdoorsy, love nature, peace and tranquility you will absolutely love this place. This place offers an opportunity for a most unique experience. Monkeys, birds, beautiful trees are all at your reach. You are actually amongst it all. Awesome swimming pool. Great place. People have to know what they are getting into. With the place being so remote there are animals and insects... Lots! To make this place perfect... Needs New TV, drapes, silverware, plates, pots and pans, linen and bedding. Also lighting. If these things were addressed it would be PERFECT! I really enjoyed the opportunity to stay. It was Amazing!

Great stay

Everything was as I expected.Comfortable beds ,good pool,sufficient kitchen gadjets.The refrigerator could have been bigger but we bought ice everyday anyway.Although we never had any problems with th road coming up the hill,you had to pay attention and keep your speed up.It rained on the afternoon 2 days in a row but we were already in the house.If it was really rainy you would need a 4x4.I took my big electric grill and that worked great for cooking for 5 adults and a 3 year old and I would go again.Beaches were good and the store down the road a little way was good.The restaurant Loma Palo was good also.

Great Place to Stay

I had a great time with my family. The house and location is amazing a lot of nature and a great view of the beach. The sunset is incredible! The house is equipped and we had no issues at all. The only minor details are: the TV was not functioning and that you need a big car to get to the house. We were going in a Blazer 4x2 and a Nissan Sentra, but we had to leave the small car in San Francisco.

A fantastic journey

Many thanks to George and his hosekeeper Vivian. The house is magnifique. We enjoyed a lot. The house is sorrounded by a green tropical forest. Two Km away from the house you will find great beaches; Coyote, Caletas, Bongo, Bejuco, Corozalito, By the way we got to Corozalito beach for Lora tourtle´s arriving. The house is very nice and clean enough for 4 people. Its amazinz how peacefull we found there. No noist, only the nature, what is great. Not to far from the hill were the house is located you can reach the little community of San Francisco. There you will find a good Grocery Store, a very good restaurant, including a bakery. There are not gas station, however at Jicaral town located 1 hour from the house you can find it. I will be better if you may rent a 4 x 4 car. So you can go to many beaches, including Samara, Ostional, Nosara, Punta Islita and San Juanillo beaches. The former one is a kind of pool, reallly good. We want to thanks to George for being a fantastic host. Hope we can visit his house in the near future. On behalf of our family, many thanks. Have a great 2021.

Beautiful and remote

This was so peaceful and allowed us to rest and reset on a much needed vacation. The owner was very good about getting all of our questions answered and very helpful. The beaches nearby were beautiful and empty. Not a touristy place, which is what we were looking for. We enjoyed dining at Loma Clara and Rafael was so great to talk with! Great food and company. The jungle noises at night were amazing. Saw howler monkeys and heard them!, tonsIf birds, lots of really cool bugs, and a family of coatimundi roaming around. The sunsets were amazing from the pool. We loved it!

Deserves five stars...but

The home was in a beautiful location, private, quiet, great views. A bone rattling drive to one of the most beautiful beaches that we have had the privelege to roam. George provided us with great contacts who were very helpful, as well as very good general information about the area. This home deserves a five star rating but there are some areas that need attention including the kitchen and the downstairs bedroom...fan not working, light bulbs burned out but too high for us to reach . If there was a 4.5 rating that's what we''d give it but a little TLC and it would be a 5!

Your host in the infinity pool overlooking the sunset enjoying the view and some coktails. We built our house from scratch. It has all the comforts of home with a Costa Rican touch.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

We visited this area a few years ago; and when I visited his place I fell in love with Costa Rica all over again. I have been vacationing here since 1991 but was a little discouraged with all the building that was going in other areas of Costa Rica. Then I found Playa Coyote, WOW.....Playa Coyote is still undiscovered by the crowds of tourists. Very pristine compared to the areas of Flamingo, Jaco, Quepos, Nosara, Playa Del Coco, Mal Pais, Sante Teresa, Samara and Tamarindo. If you want crowds go to those places I just mentioned, if you want peace and tranquility come to Playa Coyote and the other small villages in this area.

The beach here is 10+miles long, and there will be many times when you are the only one on the beach. If you enjoy waking up to the sounds of birds and howler monkeys my place is for you. If you enjoy Great Sunsets and Great Views my place is for you. The name of the game around here is RELAX....RELAX....and more RELAX. If you are looking for crowds and a bar scene find another place, PLAYA COYOTE is a place to ENJOY THE BEACH, UNWIND, EXPLORE, and ENJOY NATURE.
