Built in 1899 by shipwrights and carpenters for one of the island's premier cigar barons, this impressive masterpiece takes you back in time for your exceptional Key West retreat. Centrally located within this charming town, you are just minutes to all the downtown fun on Duval St., yet far enough away for a peaceful night's rest. A contactless check in/out process with the virtual innkeeper allows for a seamless experience!

DETAILS AND AMENITIES...
This rare gem encompasses old world charm with modern luxuries that will have you feeling lost on island time. A historic setting with coastal inspired décor create a tranquil backdrop for your escape from reality. Sip your morning cup of coffee on the mansion's front porch and enjoy the sweet island breeze. Order delivery at one of your island favorites and enjoy within one of lovely, newly renovated gathering spaces or under the outdoor shaded seating area. The mansion rooms provide beautiful spaces for sitting, dining and relaxing for our guests to enjoy. A kitchen is located on the first level of the mansion for guest use which also includes a microwave and additional refrigerator space. 

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS...
Sprawl out in your private 1st floor oasis furnished with a king bed with cozy linens equipped to provide the right amount of R & R at the end of your fun filled day. A large ensuite PRIVATE bathroom with a shower lies steps away. Find a flat screen TV, Keurig coffee maker and mini fridge adding to the comfort of your home away from home. A table with 2 chairs sits outside your room so you can enjoy your surroundings without having to go too far.

OUTDOOR LIVING...
Although just a leisurely walk to downtown, off street parking is provided on a first come first serve basis should you require a vehicle. A shimmering, shared pool lies steps from these serene accommodations. Catch some rays on the second-floor sun deck with ample loungers showcasing vibrant tropical views with a generous island breeze. Live like a local and make the most out of your island escape!

It is first come first serve and if there is not a space available upon arrival you may park on the street in front for free (do not park in a residential permit space!) until one becomes available, or even for the length of your stay.

Wonderful stay!

FANTASTIC, ADORABLE, PERFECT, couldn’t recommend this spot more. A cute, romantic little hideaway B&B style hotel. The pool deck and pool were modern and well styled. The rooms right off the pool were nicely decorated and yet private and cozy. We only stayed here one night and wish we had stayed here longer!!!

The best stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my second time staying here this year, but first time alone! I adore this property so much! Not a far walk from Duval, private pool, clean rooms, clean/beautiful house and the most comfy pillows I’ve ever slept on! I do wish there were blackout curtains because morning comes quick in Key West, especially after a few drinks the night before! But the ice water kept in the foyer of the home is a life saver! I hope to stay here again very soon!

We had a wonderful stay in Key West! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Communication was excellent — all of my questions were answered quickly before and during the trip, which made everything so easy. Perfect location and great overall experience. I’d definitely stay here again!

Relaxing oasis

Everything was fantastic except for some reason i did not receive my check in code, and it took us quite a while to reach someone to help. But everything else was fantastic. And i don't think anyone else had any problems receiving the text code.

However there is a non smoking rule for the location and the couple staying in the room next to us were very heavy smokers right outside our doors. We did text and reported it, mainly just to notify the owners and we did not receive any response.

Nice historic property with easy location and parking

Azul mansion is in a great location with easy walking to Duval, Higgs Beach, etc. Free parking that was always available onsite. Very clean. Bathroom could use an update. If staying in Ambrosia, note that the light and sounds take some getting used to. You have the light from the pool area (we were fine with it but if you are sensitive to light this is not the room for you) and the ceiling fan and air conditioning unit are fairly loud. The first night we were awake every hour but it got better. All in all really enjoyed the property.

Wonderful Property

This is a wonderful property within easy walking distance to all that Key West has to offer, but with the pool and beautifully furnished seating areas in the house, there's no real need to leave and feel like you're on vacation.

The estate was beautiful and very well kept. We loved the grounds and the heated pool. The location was perfect, especially with having bikes to get around to just about everywhere. Beautiful but impossible to sleep

The property is very well kept and very nice. However the lights from the pool and outdoor areas made our room bright all night. I asked if anything could be done they said no. We had the sheers and curtains closed and could still read at midnight with no other lights on. If we had booked longer we would have had to leave. You could not sleep through the night. Each day of vacation started out with very little sleep. Further the property next door is right up against the rooms and trash cans with bottles being dumped and compacted or broken up, carts and equipment rolling over pavers from next door or this property started between 5am and 5:30am each day. The inability to get any rest on our vacation totally ruined the trip. For what we paid we expected to get rest on our trip. My inquiries were met with either there isn’t any thing we can do or at my insistence the virtual innkeeper would let the owners know. So far I have not heard anything from the owners.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent a weekend at this property and enjoyed our stay in Key West. We rented a golf cart just down the street and used that to get around during our stay. The room was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. The only issues we encountered were the door had to be slammed to close , I think a little WD-40 would help and the room rug kept getting stuck in the door each time we entered. Minor issues and overall a nice property in a decent area.
