However, the region offers a wide range of other sports and leisure activities. The spa resort Friesenhausen and the resort is just 12 km from the Baroque city of Fulda, the cultural and economic center Osthessens. Here you can the baroque cathedral, the Holy Sepulchre Church of Sts. Boniface, and the nearby St. Michael's Church with its Romanesque crypt and the Cathedral Museum, visit. Within walking distance of the resort to the old Kurhessisch Royal-Bavarian border (1816-1866) over the top to the foot Milseburg hike, one of the most beautiful mountains in the Rhön.
