Sleeps 12-15 adults comfortably and up to 20 max. if utilizing the two pull-out couches in the main living areas. In addition, there is a game shed, not attached to the cabin, with A/C and heater that provides a small, one-person futon.

Tucked away, sitting near a 10 acre fishing lake; you'll find tranquility and connect with family and nature, while having all the modern day comforts.

LOCATION/ENTERTAINMENT:
Enjoy our local horse racing, wineries and variety of excellent fine dining experiences. Visit nationally recognized, John James Audubon Park for terrific hiking and art exhibit. Shop downtown Henderson's boutiques and shoe stores. Or book a facial, massage of yoga class with our wellness professionals.

This is the perfect place for a weekend get-away!

The host was accommodating and helpful with any questions we had, and bonus she was also our Yoga instructor which made it nice to meet her. Amenties were great and we look forward to making this a yearly tradition!

Beautiful log house had more than enough room for the 8 of us. 40 secluded acres on a lake provided plenty of privacy. House was very clean, host was very accomodating. We had a great time!

Family getaway

Our family of nine, from IN and AZ got together for four days at the cabin. A great property for family gatherings. So tranquil and relaxing. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Group of Friends Looking to Unwind

The cabin was the perfect destination for our group gathering. Close enough to town to be convenient, far enough away to give us locals that getaway feel. The beautiful surroundings & accommodations were exactly what we needed for a relaxing overnight adventure. Owners were readily available to answer questions before we booked & during our stay.

Great Alternative to Hotel Rooms

Amazing property if you have a larger family and need the beds and bathrooms. Lots of gathering space and deck space. Well-equipped and far enough out to feel like a getaway in itself. Thanks for everything!

Perfect for a small wedding celebration and pics

My son got married last weekend in Henderson; we hosted a small bridal brunch at The Cabin and took family pictures. The host was wonderful to work with and spot on about answering any questions. Thx Mckees.

Fabulous quiet weekend getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Gorgeous property with lots of privacy and places to roam and relax. We rented 2 kayaks from the owners and had the lake all to ourselves. Best stocked kitchen we’ve EVER had in any rental and that was much appreciated! Plenty of towels and linens. We’ll definitely be back in the future!

Fantastic place for a weekend getaway

Every year me and a bunch of buddies meet up and enjoy a weekend of fishing and laughs. We have done this for about 7 years now and this place has become the best. The host are great and respond quickly, the property was very well furnished and clean. The fishing was great in the kayaks. We all had a great time and will for sure be returning in the future. The atmosphere around is very well calming as well we loved it.

Great weekend

This is a terrific getaway for the weekend. All bedrooms and baths are upstairs with a family room in the middle. Kitchen,fireplace, and another family room downstairs. We spent a lot of time in the hammock and swing. Nice fire pit too. Lake is pretty but swampy. Overall the grounds and house are great.

The 10 acre lake can be swampy near the shore line, especially during hot seasons. We have three different areas you can fish from the shore, or a kayak you can use to venture to the dock or to the deeper fishing areas of the lake. Cabin

Beautiful cabin to host a little family getaway and graduation celebration from USI. Everything was as pictured, very kid friendly with the toys and crib including outdoor games. The fish were biting too! I selected a 4/5 for cleanliness due to finding food and silverware in the pull out couches, as mentioned this is a kid friendly property and you never know where things may end up so o don’t think this was a fault of host!

Family Thanksgiving

It was a wonderful home for our family Thanksgiving. Beautiful cabin and the location was amazing. The home had a lot of ladybugs that we had to deal with. The washer and dryer were not available for us to use, and the coffee pot had not been cleaned in some time. These are all small things but wanted to ensure they were know so they could be addressed. Additionally, there are only 5 private bedrooms. The 6th is a pullout in a common area.

Thank you for visiting The Cabin. Unfortunately during the harvesting season, Japanese beetles, an invasive pest in this area, can swarm and the cabin is a perfect place for them to seek refuge. Since then, we have changed our pest control services and they have been thoroughly spraying on a regular basis. We will make sure our cleaning list is updated so that the coffee pot is not overlooked by our cleaning company. We appreciate feedback as we learn and grow our locally owned, small business!

Wonderful family time.

Nice and private. The house is huge and we felt child friendly. There are children play items available that definitely occupied my 3 year old grandson. The pond is beautiful. We kayaked and fished every day. Caught and released many fish and not just small ones. My grandson caught his first bass. It’s a short trek to the pond but glad we brought a wagon to carry needed items there. We wish it hadn’t been so hot so we could have spend more time enjoying the outside seating area. The kitchen has all needed cooking necessities. A wonderful place for family time.

Perfect

The house was spacious with plenty of room and beds for all. A nice open feel in the layout of the house. The kitchen was well stocked and I loved the extra frig in the laundry room. We enjoyed the deck with the fire pit and seating. We had some wild turkeys and barred owls visit the property. The house is about 15 minutes from town to grab groceries and to visit the splash pad with the grandkids. We made trips to Nashville and Evansville a few times. Evansville has the best pool, "Norman "Red" Mosby". It was the best $2 I ever spent. We also visited the zoo, escape room, golf course, casino, and Mickey's Kingdom Park. A guest book would be nice so that people could sign and tell what interesting things they did on their visit. All in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable time.

Family time

The cabin was a great choice for our family . It was quiet, clean, roomy and very comfortable . We enjoyed watching the deer come and go. Very relaxing get away within 20 minutes of home . Thank you for sharing .
