#7 Thunder Ridge Chalet features THE best location at Fernie Alpine Resort. Others say their location is best, BUT THIS ONE DELIVERS. Check out the photos, and see what we're talking about. Just step off the back deck and you are right on the ski run to go DOWN to the lifts and base area amenities. For lunch or at the end of the day just take the 'Holo Hike' ski run and ski right back to the door. No walking - ever! Especially great for families with young skiers who can't easily carry their own gear.

The owners of this property are avid skiers and therefore this home only rents out 4 or 5 times a season. If availability matches with your vacation dates - this is the one to rent!

In addition the fantastic location, the entire property has been renovated with new flooring, appliances, furniture, and a new Sundance spa on the back deck. This property features an open plan main floor with a large living room and kitchen. The living room is perfect for relaxing and entertaining with hardwood floor through out with lots of seating in the living room for entertaining and relaxing. The kitchen is fully equipped with absolutely everything you need. Top end appliances and a large quartz island for socializing around after a great day on the slopes.

The upper floor has three bedrooms:

Master (queen bed, en suite bathroom with shower, walk in closet with washer/dryer)
Bedroom 2 (queen bunk bed (two people on top, two people below), and
Bedroom 3 (queen bed)

The second bathroom on this floor has a full bath & shower and is for use by guests in Bedrooms 2 and 3.

On the back deck is your private hot tub and gas BBQ.

As this is an end unit in Thunder Ridge looking up at the mountain. You have wonderful views of the ski hill and bright sunshine coming in through the day. A few steps away is the Hollo Hike run which takes you DOWN to the elk chair. No walking - EVER! All of the Fernie Alpine Resort's restaurants, bars, spas, and stores are within five minutes, so park the car and forget about driving for a while!

The garage is set up as a gear room and has a boot rack, and racks for skis and boards, poles and clothes. The garage is heated so everything drys out and is ready for the next day.

IMPORTANT:This is a family condo offering a beautiful place for our guests. Party hounds and bachelor groups need not apply. Thunder Ridge has a noise curfew in place so if you are looking for a party place, please apply elsewhere.

Amazing renovated condo with huge bedrooms and living areas. Right on the ski run 100m from the Elk lift for a true ski in ski out experience. The condo came with everything we needed for the perfect White Christmas holiday.Catherine the host was very welcoming, responsive and gave plenty of insights into how to best enjoy our stay at Fernie. We will definitely be returning!

Wonderful place to stay on the hill.

We very much enjoyed our time. Wish we could have had another week. Comfortable beds, great hottub, and steps away from the ski hill. Everything was great.

Best location on the mountain

This was our second time staying here, and we love it. It has everything you need, all in great shape. Clean and comfortable. The location is amazing, true ski in and ski out. The hot tub over looks the ski run. The garage has been converted to an equipment room with racks for your gear including a heater to dry your mitts etc. Super handy. We've been to multiple similar units in the past, this is the first one we've come back to, and we look forward to the next time.

Wonderful Location

We sure enjoyed the true ski in and out location of this beautiful property The garage is so nice to have access for skis and gear storage, hot tub on the deck and everything you need in the kitchen and comfortable living room with a beautiful fireplace!Easy check in and out and excellent communication with property owners We really enjoyed our time here and hope to return sometime soon

Another Great Week of Family & Skiing

We once again returned to Fernie and our favorite ski in and ski out. We had a great week skiing and spending time with our kids and new grand daughter. Snow was delivered and the accommodations were top notch! Thanks for another great stay!

Perfect ski in/ski out

This property is perfectly situs literally steps from the elk chair with access down via a cat track. The condo has lots of room and everything you would need for your stay. The owners left written instructions and were easy to co tact should you have questions. We appreciated the garage converted into an equipment room for ease of getting your boots and all gear on prior to heading out. We will stay again!

Fernie is amazing

The location and accommodations were perfect. I wish I could say the same about Air Canada. Comfortable beds, hot tub was clean and hot, and the garage was perfect for ditching gear after a long day in the hill. 10 out of 10

Great ski in ski out location!

This is a perfect location and fantastically appointed. Ski right on in.. Cozy ski room to undress and warm up in before heading upstairs to get ready for the relaxing hot tub and talk about your day! The kitchen is so well laid out, well stocked. It makes it so easy to pull together a meal for your family after a fun day on the slopes. Grab your groceries and you are set to go! The cozy living room and fire place made the perfect spot to grab your map and plan your next day on the hill… play some board games or just sit back, relax and watch the snow falling outside the window… the lights on the trees and buildings.. It feels like you are sitting in the most perfect little snow globe. Then off to bed to rest up for the next day in your cozy rooms and super comfortable beds! Then get up and hop right onto the hill, steps from your door and do it all again! You want for nothing here… truly.. It’s the perfect place to spend time and make memories with your family..It feels so homey. We are so grateful!

Wonderful Stay!

Despite the warm ski conditions, we had an incredible family vacation here at Fernie. The condo was full of amenities and in pristine shape and the ski in and ski out was the best we have had at Fernie. We will be back!

Absolute dream stay!

The Novak's place is even better than it looks in photos and we had a perfect family ski week for 6 of us. The kitchen is beautiful, there is true ski-in/ ski-out access, and the hot tub is the perfect post-ski activity. Can't recommend this condo enough!

Our stay was fabulous! True ski-in, ski-out. Hot tub was excellent. Tonnes of room. The equipment area to get ready was great. Kitchen well stocked. Close enough that we were able to walk to get coffee and go for end of day drinks. We will be back to stay at this property.

Amazing amazing amazing

Excellent location and beautiful house. Well appointed with everything you need for a stay with a family. After 32 hours door to door the beds were amazing ..... everyone slept in until midday. Would definitely recommend and will be back if the stars align for us.

Great ski home on the hill

We had an amazing week skiing Fernie -- the condo is RIGHT on the hill, access for skiing could not be better. The kitchen is well stocked and beautiful, and we had plenty of room for our 16 month old, us and our babysitter all week. The owners are super nice and helpful. All in all a great experience, and we will be back!

The property itself is even better than we thought it was going to be based on the description and pictures. So spacious, has everything you could dream of in the kitchen. Even has games and toys galore that my kids were so excited to find! Hot tub was perfect. Location, can’t beat. The owners answered their phones right away about a few requests we had once we checked in and were the most friendly and helpful people EVER. We will 100% be staying here again whenever we are in Fernie! Thank you Dean and Cathy for sharing your vacation home With our family!

We are a family from Calgary but have been skiing in Fernie for over 30 years. We know the resort and the town inside out and love to share the many experiences it offers with people from around the world.

Fernie, and specifically this wonderful condo, really let's you unwind. Often we arrive, and don't get back in the car to go any where for days as everything you need is right there. So great not to have to drive!

Location. Location. Location. Many people market their properties with great location or best location. Thunder Ridge, and specifically this unit in Thunder Ridge, truly is the best. Look at the photos and you can see that you literally step off the back deck, and start skiing down to the lifts, AND you can ski back right to the same spot for lunch or the end of the day.
