Mr. Mike was a wonder host and the cottage was just as described in the listing. It is by far one of the most beautiful locations you can spend a vacation. We would absolutely book again and would highly recommend this cottage. Mr. Mike could not have been a better host and the cottage could not have been more scenic and beautiful!

Very clean and cozy. We loved having easy access to the kayaks and our host Michael went above and beyond! He was phenomenal. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a quiet getaway.

We had the best stay here! Cleanest rental we have stayed at! The river was magical and we spent most of our time on the deck taking it all in. The hosts were amazing, gave us privacy but very friendly and accommodating. The shuttle for kayaking can't be beat! We can't wait to stay again.

This property and area was everything it purported to be and everything I hoped for.The cottage was exceptionally clean and inviting and the location was serene and relaxing. Michaelwas the ultimate host full of great stories and very helpful with advice on local attractions (andlife in general) If you’re looking for an off the beaten path quiet retreat from life’s hustle and bustle, this is definitely your destination!

Truly the best rental! Everything you could ever need for your trip is available to you. You really feel so rested when you leave…which is very hard to do since it is so beautiful and peaceful. The hosts are amazing people and put a lot of thought into the property to ensure their guests are comfortable. This was not our first time staying here and it won’t be our last. We are looking forward to returning soon!

Wonderful place!!!

Very peaceful, being able to fish right off the porch was great. The stories told by the owners were great as well. Definitely will be back!!!

Our host's friendly greeting and amicable conversations were delightful! The first night we enjoyed a view of the full moon and stars as well as listening to the sounds of nature. The second night we fell asleep to the rain falling on the tin roof. The cottage was very comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay.

This property is a hidden gem spacious outdoor space was perfect had a wrap around deck right on a river the host were super friendly and extra accommodating we arrived around 2am in the morning and they waited up to greet us to make sure we got in because the cottage was in a secluded area they were very responsive to messages all in all it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely return for another visit

The location is absolutely stunning ,you are staying in a cottage right on the water , a view from every window,host super friendly , beautiful kayak run, mullets jumping and spectacular reflections on water.best place for stargazing at night, we wish we had stayed longer in this nature paradise. Peaceful cabin

The hosts were very hospitable and helpful and the cabin was roomy and comfortable. We used the outdoor kitchen for several meals and enjoyed the fire pit.

A beautiful stay by the river

We had a very relaxing stay here- such a beautiful space in one of the most untouched natural Florida landscapes. Michael and Audrey were very accommodating and gave us plenty of privacy. Kayaking down the Aucilla River was unforgettable. Would love to come back and stay when we are in the area.

It is so much more than the listing and setting. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place. A little fishing and conversation with Mike, the host, were just what we needed. The visiting alligator and eagle were a treat. Kayaks were available to use at no charge and they would pick you up at no charge. We would stay again.

Nature lovers paradise

We loved the cottage and wildlife in the surrounding areas. We saw everything from alligators to hogs. Audrey and Michael are great and the little touches inside the cottage were exactly what we needed for a relaxing week.

Chris and Christine were wonderful guests. We enjoyed meeting them and hosting their stay. Communication was excellent and they were very respectful of our cottage. We highly recommend Chris to other hosts as they are always welcome back to River Rise Cottage.
