Property is a little outdated and the back yard was over grown with trees and grass. Our neighbors in D1 didnt understand the quiet hours. Every morning 5am sharp they'd blast music waking us up.

Scenic Getaway

We came to Lawton actually to go to Medicine Park, but the place we stayed was so cute and inviting! It was close to everything..

The inside was sufficient, clean for the most part, with the exception of a filthy couch/ottoman and no hand soap in the bathroom I wasn’t put off much, but outside however is another story altogether! The location is very sketchy, the property itself is old and outdated, and does not give off safe vibes at all!! The front door doesn’t even close properly and lets light in from outside. I was woken up by loud music coming from the surrounding town homes at all different hours of the night and again at 5am! With your vetting process and 200 deposit, this is not at all what I was expecting and it’s not worth it! I left a day early!!

The apartment had definitely been renovated with new flooring/stairs/carpets, but there were a lot of small things that have been hastily "fixed." There were a couple of other minor instances as well (like the wifi not working for the first 48 hours of the stay, and a random note that was dropped off stating the apartment would be sprayed with pesticides), but those were able to be worked through after contacting the host, VRBO, and then the host again. Overall, I think it is pretty economical for the size of the apartment/townhouse that you receive, the location is really solid (as far as proximity to Fort Sill goes), and it isn't a bad place if you go into it knowing that the complex itself is a little older. The neighbors were nice, and there are plenty of pets throughout the neighborhood. If you're in town for a BCT/AIT graduation with/without pets and a medium-sized family, this is your best option. If you are expecting a quiet evening with a single loved one, I'd probably just go to a hotel.

The air conditioning was outstanding, felt a little unsafe due to frost door not latching without pushing pass warped door frame. It served its purpose but not what I expected.

Clean, quiet but needs work

The property was clean and quiet but needed repair. It appeared there had been water damage on the second floor. The bottoms of the doors showed water damage. The family room needs more light. There was only a small desk lamp for the whole room.

Decent 2 bedroom town home

It was decent for size but right off we noticed the little private grass area hasn't been touched for a while (had a tree growing). Second was the temperature inside noticed it said 77 degrees but figure the AC just got turned down before we arrived. As we stayed the temp started rising. Inside temp averaging around 85 degrees the whole stay. Informed property owner he said a fix was coming was never fixed or grass mowed in the 5 days there. When we arrived we had to spray clean all counter cause they were oily. Was cheap but the AC was a big issue.

Updates

With our suggestions the place will be in good shape. The were broken and missing light bulbs, stool that always runs, patio door that wouldn't open, office chair missing support bolts, tub and sink stoppers were missing, the latch on the patio gate is not installed properly so it did not work. The building (D) we stayed in was not labeled street side and coming after 8 pm we didn't find our rental until the next day. The down spouts should be fastened to the building since they flap in the wind. Once we got in it was comfortable, except for the above mentioned items.

This rental is highly recommended for families, visiting graduates or soldiers at Fort Sill! It is approximately 8minutes from the graduation ceremony, there is a Walmart & dollar general down the road to stock up on groceries and necessities. The property is a duplex so there is a neighbor just an FYI. However the apartment was private, quiet, and the small back yard area has a high fence for privacy. The apartment isn’t new but it is clean and has everything you need in regards to the full kitchen, 2 bathrooms and both bedrooms were spacious. There is a large living room area and small dining room for everyone to hang out. The living room has a big tv and the apartment has WiFi and good AC. The reality company communicates well and check in/check out was seamless & didn’t require any extra time/stops. Compared to a hotel I was much happier as my family had room to relax, we were able to make homecooked food for our soldier, and we weren’t crammed into 1 room. The only things that could have been improved was the backyard area grass was a tiny bit overgrown not a big deal, if you require extra pillows/blankets, you may want to grab at Walmart or dollar general - the apartment did have clean pillows/linen on the beds & extra towels. if you have mobility issues be aware that the bedrooms are upstairs & the steps are fairly small(there is a rail and the steps are sturdy—just made for people with a smaller foot!) Close to tourist sites, fast food, and the airport!

Needs lots of update/work

It’s was very hard to find this location. Nothing said that you needed to go into the middle of the townhomes to find your unit. We got there late at night and when we got there and approached the door, there was a gap in between the door and the door frame so you could see inside the unit. Didn’t feel safe. Needs updated furniture flooring needs new carpet. The location was very close to Fort sill and that was. When I had questions, I did get replies back fairly quickly. But I would not stay there again And would not Recommend anyone stay in there as well until it gets updated.

Roomy Clean Comfortable

My son and I had a quick trip to Lawton for Fort Sill graduation. Our condo was just across the Expressway from Fort Sill. It was very clean and roomy. Has very nice kitchenette. Would stay here again.
