1BR Luxury Jerusalem vacation rental in historic and pastoral neighborhood down the street from the restored Ottoman train station at the meeting point of German Colony/Baka/Abu Tor. Ground floor apartment faces beautiful park of carob trees. Historic Monastery and Old City views are only steps away.

Centrally located in the heart of Jerusalem, close to major sites, shopping and excellent dining, the apartment is part of a luxury apartment building and has a private entrance with a 50 meter delightful private patio overlooking the park.

It is less than a five minute walk to Yes Planet, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, theaters, the First Station complex, and the Jerusalem Cinemateque. Emek Refaim, the German Colony, and Derech Beit Lechem (cafes, shopping) are a ten minute walk. And the Old City, King David Hotel are just a fifteen minute walk from the apartment.

The apartment includes custom tiles and wood cabinetry and a fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, A/C, heat, 32 inch flat screen TV, and wireless internet. Plenty of free on street parking is available in front of the unit. The apartment is non-smoking and no pets please.

Lovely apartment in the German Colony, Jerusalem

The apartment was lovely and very clean. It was well situated in Jerusalem and had a parking space. The owners were really helpful and very nice would definitely recommend this apartment.

Wonderful apartment

This was a perfect sized apartment for me during my stay in Jerusalem; having the outdoor area was nice in the cooler evenings. It’s quite convenient to the Old City, First Station, and many spots to visit. Having the washer and dryer was very nice as I could pack less and still have clean clothes for two weeks. The air conditioning works well even in the summer heat and the kitchen has all the basic needs. Highly recommend.

Great Stay

Exactly what we were looking for. Comfortable, quiet bedroom with modern bathroom. Homey living space with kitchen facilities, dining area, and couch. In a quiet neighborhood, adjacent to the park with porch access. We hosted 3 friends for lunch (5 in total) and it worked out perfectly. Ideal for Jerusalem where you just need a home base too cool off. Hosts could not have been friendlier or more accommodating, from arrival to departure. Highly recommend.

Convenient and close.

Easy 20 min. walk to Jaffa or Zion Gate. Close to bus lines, grocery store, quiet neighborhood, easy parking. Great for the independent single traveler or a couple. It was a great choice. Owners very friendly and helpful!

Great property in a great location. Walking distance to everything: Old City, central city.

The condo is great with large exterior private patio with access onto a park. Jordan and Anne will go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable with your stay.

Great location

The location was excellent, and the parking was ideal, the facility also was good. A bit inconvenient for three people because of the bathroom located off the bedroom. My main complaint and suggestion to Anne is to replace the tattered bedding and towels provided. They are old, faded, and not what I expected for the price paid for this accommodation. Also to have access to the bedding one must raise the whole mattress and wood frame of the bed to reach the articles stored in the area under the bed. I could not lift it myself, fortunately my nephew was with me and was able to discover this hidden area and lift the bed so we could gather the bedding needed for the living room couch. On arrival the apt. was fair as far as cleanliness, the window sills were covered with dust and cob webs in the corners of the rooms. The patio was strewn with dead leaves which was not a pleasant sight on arrival. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others with the assurance that the bedding and towels are new and fresh and the rooms are fresh and cleaned. We did pay a cleaning fee and it would be worth it if the rooms and patio were sparkling on arrival. I have stayed in many different locations in Jerusalem, I would rate this good for location and parking and average for comfort, cleanliness, and price.

Great location

This is very convenient to walk to the Old City and other places around Jerusalem. The bus is not far away and there is a grocery store and restaurants (although expensive) close by. It had the basic things like dish soap, clothes soap, etc... which was appreciated. The apartment was adequate for 2 people..I could not imagine having 4. The only thing it could use is a coffee pot or French press. It could also have used a better cleaning..the carport in the middle of the room was full of dirt and the fridge had not been wiped down inside. A great place to stay

Very nice place

We had a great time exploring Jerusalem from this nice clean apartment. 20 mins walk from Old City, and good grocery store nearby. Parking for our rental car was important because parking is not easy close to the Old City. The bathroom is off the bedroom which is good to know if you have someone sleeping on the pullout in the living room. The host was away but the friend he had meet us was very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful place in Abu Tur

I stayed in this apartment for almost 2 months, and I found it to be a perfect place, close to everyhting ithin walking distance and in a beautiful area, full of history. I appreciated how accomodating the host was, yet always respecting my privacy. Extra bonus is the cute nearby park and the First Station being just a 3 minute walk away, perfect for grabbing a bite or a drink.

Secret hide-away close to everything

This was a perfect little space for us. The owners were helpful and eager to give us tips about what to see in the area and further away. Taking the bus from a few blocks away worked great and the parking outside the unit was also nice when we had our rental car. The cute shopping/restaurant area close by was convenient for getting a meal easily and fun to walk around. This was just right!

Abu Tor Rental for Couple

This two room rental is perfect for a single or couple. I rented it for my parents who were visiting Jerusalem for 10 days. There is one bedroom with a double bed, and another room that is a living room/kitchen with a pull-out sofa. The apartment has a patio area with a private entrance that opens from the park. The owner keeps the place in very good shape. Everything was clean and good working order - including AC/Heater machines in each room; boiler, fridge, cable tv, internet, etc. It's perfect for anyone looking to spend a few days in Abu Tor; adjacent to a park in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance from Cinematec, Old Train Station, Emek Refaim.

Home away from home

I stayed here for a 4 months sabbatical. It was the perfect place for me. The apartment is in walking distance to the Old City. It`s close to the bus stops. It`s close to a supermarket and a 24/7. It`s close to the running track along the old railway as well as to the restaurant area at the First Station or the Cinemateque. The area is a quiet neighbourhood, which I really enjoyed. The apartment is small, but very functional. Jordan was a wonderful host, he made sure, I got everything I needed. I can only recommend this place.

Great home base for exploring Jerusalem

My husband and I stayed here for 6 weeks upon moving to Jerusalem and it served our needs very well overall. The owners have done a wonderful job ensuring that every detail about the property is neat, clean, functional, and representative of the kind of high quality you would expect in America. While the apartment is small, the space is used very efficiently - despite having 9 suitcases' worth of things, we were able to pack most of it away. The bathroom in particular is really nice by Israeli standards, the bed linens were of a nice quality, the bed was comfortable, and the lighting was cozy. The cable TV and high-speed Internet worked without a hitch every time, and the kitchenette was sufficiently equipped to cook for ourselves during our stay. The owners, who live next door, are responsive but not intrusive. The neighborhood has a nice feeling, and there is a park right next to the apartment that has swings and is a favorite hangout for neighborhood kids. We walked almost everywhere in central Jerusalem from there. Especially nice is the Sherover Promenade that winds up into the hills overlooking the Old City - it's about 5K roundtrip and makes for a very nice morning or evening walk. Overall, a great home base for exploring Jerusalem.

Great Jerusalem apartment!

What a nice apartment complete with courtyard overlooking the adjoining just renovated park. Very comfortable apartment with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Private and quiet. Centrally located with great access to the Old City. The only time that I needed a taxi was for arrival and departure. All good! 2 thumbs up!
