BEST SKI IN SKI OUT IN THE ROCKIES!! Rare FIND - Directly ON the POWDER RIVER Ski Slope!! There is no better location for your winter or summer stay in Big Sky/Moonlight Basin/Yellowstone Country than "The Outlaw" ski-in/ski-out Cowboy Heaven Cabin ON THE SLOPES. You will literally put your skis on at the door of this amazing 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom slopeside cabin and ski-in/ski-out to all of Big Sky Resort via the Iron Horse lift or Pony Express lift. This cabin sits on the Powder River ski trail (beginner/intermediate trail), providing the BEST ski-in/ski-out in the Rocky Mountains, along with numerous amenities, including premium wifi, Smart TVs, private outdoor hot tub on the porch, Bose Bluetooth speaker, and much more.

Relax in your private outdoor hot tub with a glass of wine or beverage of your choice as you watch skiers pass by, taking in the most beautiful vistas in all of Big Sky. With views of Lone Peak, the Big Sky Valley, Andesite Mountain, and the Spanish Peaks, this is one of the premier Big Sky vacation rentals that lets you experience the feeling of staying "on top of the world."

This private cabin on the slopes has 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has a king bed, private bath, and TV and bedroom 2 has 2 XL twin beds and a TV. In the living room, there is a gas fireplace, a large Smart TV, and a Bose Bluetooth speaker + VIEWs, VIEWs, and more VIEWs. Drive right up to the cabin, as there is parking just outside the cabin.

* Big Sky Resort officially opens for ski season the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day. This property is ski-in/ski-out via the Iron Horse and Pony Express lifts. Early and late season ski access is condition dependent and may vary. All lift operations are completely at Big Sky Resort's discretion.

Great family holiday getaway

Our family of four had a great time in the Cowboy Haven cabin. It was well stocked and made it easy to make meals in the cabin. The space was just right and accomodated two adults and two college students perfectly. We loved that we could ski almost right off the front porch! It was very convenient from the lifts and overall ski resort access. We would absolutely stay again!

Fantastic all around!

The location simply cannot be beat! We had so much fun staying right on the slopes, we skied all day and then the kids enjoyed sledding and building ski jumps at the end of the day while the adults soaked in the hot tub. It was so easy to come in for lunch and then click back into the skis right off the porch. We had such a great trip!!!

Perfect location

Our family had an amazing 5 day stay at The Outlaw. The location is ideal for ski in/ski out and amazing views. The cabin made for a perfect quick ski trip to Big Sky. It had everything we needed to ski, relax and enjoy ourselves.

Great getaway!

Stunning views, amazing master shower, and the hot tub was amazing to be in while watching the sunset! Will definitely return to this cabin, lots of trails too right outside the cabin.

The only place we'll stay in Big Sky

We loved staying here! The property was exactly as advertised and in perfect condition. It was so nice being able to walk off the porch and immediately onto Powder River Run. We felt right at home with the abundance of amenities. Communication with the owners was easy and fast. We hope to return again next season!

Incredible!!

I can’t say enough good things about this rental. The ski-in and ski-out was flawless. The location on the mountain is excellent. A very cozy cabin with a fireplace. So relaxing to wake up and sip coffee with gorgeous views of the mountains. Big sky is our favorite resort we’ve been to.

Would rather keep it a secret...

...but I'll just say our Cowboy Cabin was exceptional - TRULY ski in/out. The beds and living room accommodations were comfortable and the kitchen was nicely stocked with cookware (albeit a bit small, but hey!). We were even visited by a friendly fox who was undoubtedly drawn by our steaks smoking on the gas grill. Btw - the view is unmatched. Suggestion...maybe a couple Adirondack chairs on the porch? As for the skiing at Big Sky, it is exceptional - from the basic blues to the couloirs.

Terrific location

Great spot, but the cabin was a little rough for the price. A kitchen cabinet door fell off when I opened it, and the washer/dryer unit is stacked right next to the tiny dining table. But its views and proximity to a ski run made it great overall.

Perfect getaway

We traveled to Montana as a family last week. The cabin was spectacular. The location was superb. Convenient to restaurants and shops, but also private and quiet. It was truly the best of all worlds. My kids loved the space and were comfortable and at home immediately upon arrival. We would absolutely recommend this location to anyone staying in the Big Sky area. We would love to return for a ski trip in the winter!

Great place to relax

The cabin was perfect for me and my family. The location and views couldn't be beat. The cabin itself is cozy, and after spending a long week prior exploring Yellowstone, we were ready to relax for a couple of days, and this was the perfect place for it. The kids, and I, are already making plans to return in the winter for a ski vacation. The kids can't stop talking about how they want to ski right to the hot tub, kick off their gear, and jump right in.

Perfect Ski in/out Location

We loved this little cabin. It was perfect for our needs and the location for skiing can't be beat! Everything we needed was provided including a thoughtful welcome basket. The snow plows came by early in the evening so we were not awakened like other ski in/out locations which was a huge plus. The only thing we wished we had was a garage but it would not prevent us from staying here again!

Cabin in the sky

We loved the morning sunrise and evening sunsets. We saw a bear, fox, and dear from the front porch. We enjoyed the hot tub and cooking out. A picnic table or a better dining table outside would have been helpful. The kitchen was well equipped and beds very comfortable. Great memories!

Since we live in Big Sky full time, we are here to take excellent care of you every minute of your stay. All of our properties are beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. We inspect them personally before each arrival. We provide everything from trip planning information to a turn key vacation rental that everyone dreams about.
