Relax and Enjoy this completely modernized 1902 home on a quiet, tree-lined street steps away from historic Pioneer Park, three blocks south of Whitman College and walking distance to downtown Walla Walla.

Home away from home

House was beautiful and well stocked with necessities as well as games and entertainment, even pickleball paddles! Host was amazing and communication excellent! Would definitely stay there again!

Fabulous Stay

This is a wonderful house in a beautiful neighborhood close to Pioneer Park and a short walk into historic downtown Walla Walla and Whitman College. The house is incredibly spacious with a gorgeous, well-equipped kitchen, a living room and separate t.v. den, We loved everything about the house, and would love to stay again. The backyard is nice as well with outdoor furniture. We walked into town each evening for dinner and it was perfect!

Wonderful WW home near Pioneer Park and just a 20 minute walk to the DT WW area. Comfy home with everything you need. Quiet neighborhood.

Beautiful house near Whitman

Wonderful House

This is the first time I have stayed in a VRBO that was nicer than the pictures/description. The kitchen was oversized and very well appointed. All bathrooms were huge given the age of the home. We walked to the park and town several times with ease.

Perfect place to stay for getaway!

Tandem House had all the amenities, a comforting gathering zone both indoors and outside, a lovely garden to feel zen in, central and close to everything. The bikes were an extra slice of fun for exploring the cute town of Walla Walla when not hanging out at the wineries. The host was responsive and helpful as well! Would definitely return.

Great location for cycling.

This property is roomy. Its old, so sometimes there are not a lot of outlets or lights. But the owners are obviously bringing energy and improvements to this beautiful property. It easily seated 6 for dinner, plenty off off street parking, big, roomy well equipped kitchen, at least one bathroom on each floor, great laundry facilities, nice sitting area outside, plenty of bike storage by the back door, two nice places to sit and talk. It really worked out well for us for a cycling/wine tasting trip.

Great house and location

The Tandem House was lovely and a great choice for our family group. We enjoyed the spacious layout of the kitchen and common areas on the first floor as well as the nicely done bedrooms on the second floor. Fun bike decor in each room. Also nice to be so close to the park, great location!

The house was amazing with a well stocked kitchen. The central location and proximity to pioneer park made wine tasting, pickleball, and birdwatching a breeze.

Walla Walla Wine Tour

We absolutely loved this house and location! It was the perfect spot for our weekend wine tour. While we primarily came for the vineyards, we enjoyed early morning walks around Pioneer Park and the beautiful aviary, and enjoyed relaxing in the comfort of your home!! Couldn't have asked for anything better!

Beautiful place

We loved our stay at the Tandem House. Although the smoke rolled in and we couldn’t use the bikes, we had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The kitchen was amazing so we cooked all our meals here.

Perfect wine country weekend house!

There were five women staying here, celebrating my 40th birthday weekend. Perfect location, within walking distance to downtown for wine tastings and farmers market. We enjoyed the park and the aviary and took the bikes for a ride. The house was spacious and comfortable. The communication with the owners was easy and very accommodating, from recommendations to birthday wishes. I highly recommend staying here!

Great location next to pioneer Park. Really clean and well maintained property.

Kitchen is well equipped and was perfect for a large group dinner. The Amazon Fire set-up is a challenge if you want to see any main stream channels.

Worth every penny!

Had a super stay at the Tandom House. Very spacious and clean. Great location close to downtown, but on a very quiet street. Everything was exactly as expected. Highly recommended.

No-Tandem house

Nice home with lots of space. Clearly effort put in to updating. However, we encountered a few problems worth noting. We rent vacation homes frequently, and have stayed in others in Walla Walla. The appeal of this one was the cruiser bikes and tandem (thus the rental's name - "Tandem House") so we could get around town and over to campus without the car and not have the hassle of renting/returning. Upon arrival, we eagerly went in search of the bikes, only to find them in the garage behind a lot of other storage - essentially inaccessible. Perhaps winter storage. In the house, noted a sign on the dishwasher saying "sorry, not working". This was our welcome. I reached out to the owners, who did respond quickly, apologizing, saying the dishwasher did work (ps - it did) and that they would pay for us to rent bikes. The rental offer was a nice gesture but time/hassle factor too high. Later that evening when we were winding down, we tried to work the TV but had not been left a passcode. Texted owners and received it relatively quickly. Went to bed thinking this rental was my first ever VRBO disappointment. I gave it a 3 because these a such ea

My wife grew up in Walla Walla and I met her while attending Whitman College. We love it there and try to get back as often as we can. We also love cycling and can make great recommendations for area rides, restaurants and other fun activities. Thanks for checking out our house.

Walla Walla is one of the greatest areas in the state for being outdoors, cycling, fishing, hunting and close to skiing at Bluewood in the Winter months. Of course Walla Walla is also home to some national and internationally renowned wineries and up and coming restaurants.

The Tandem House is located by the historic Pioneer Park. The park was designed by John Olmstead, who designed Central Park in New York, as well as numerous other Parks in Washington and Oregon. The Park is home to some state and national record trees. Tandem House is walking distance to Whitman College (10 min) and downtown (15-20 min). We also stock the garage with 3 speed bikes to explore the town on.
