Spacious Renovated Lodge w/Private Game Room

This is NOT a party house! This is our family's vacation home that we want to share with other families.

Guests of the Lodge can enjoy all of the amenities of the Lakes of the North association including miles of trails for snowmobiles, atvā€™s and side by sides. There are also a beach, playground, a winter sports area, golf course & restaurant.

Knotty Pine throughout the flat give it a great lodge feel. New furniture, including beds in all 4 bedrooms and a brand new kitchens in both flats make this a great location.

An electric fireplace adds to the ambience of the living rooms in both the upper and lower flat as you unwind and watch Directv, enjoy the wifi or just sit and relax.

The attached game room is a great place to hangout as a family. Ping pong, basketball, foosball and a large game table make for the perfect place for a friendly family competition and an opportunity to make a lot of memories.

The upper deck is perfect for a cookout or just watching the sunset.

The large firepit has plenty of seating for those cool summer nights when all you want to do is roast marshmallows and tell stories.

We had a wonderful family girls weekend. The lodge was so clean! Everything was well maintained and well stocked! The game room was so much fun and we enjoyed a fire on the deck at night. Weā€™ll be back!

A really great place! Two separate, comfortable kitchens and living rooms, plus multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything was clean and cozy. The home was extremely well-appointed with coffee, utensils, soap, paper towels, and more. The awesome game room and deck/yard space were an added bonus. Excellent valueā€”very comfortable and an easy place to relax.

This property allowed 13 of us (including 7 teenagers) to stay together as a family, have room to spread out, room to relax, and enjoy each others' company. The kitchens were well-stocked and the game room saw almost-constant use. The outdoor spaces (deck, patio, yard, firepit, and fireplace tables) made it easy to enjoy the beautiful Michigan summer weather.

Christmas Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this property. There was plenty of space for our group of 13. Lots to keep the kids occupied and had everything we needed from a well stocked kitchen to linens/blankets & bathroom supplies. The house was very clean and cutely decorated.

Thought we had access to the pool at the clubhouse, but when we got there they said we wernt members so they wanted us to pay 10 a head for the kids to swim, so we walked out sad, then ran into a great guy on a 4 wheeler that escorted us to the lake to talk to a man, and he let us swim only because we were with him,,, thanx ro the man on a 4 wheeler ,,, other than that mishap, this place is a phenomenal stay !!!

Perfect Family Vacation place

The house was great, owners were friendly and helpful and nearby when needed for the majority of our stay! The game room was perfect for the kids we had with us! Close swimming and fishing and everyone was able to have a good time! The house was very spacious and 3 bathrooms so there was never anyone waiting to use the bathroom and we had a full house for our stay!! Would definitely recommend this to friends or family and we hope to return in the future!!

Excellent Property

We stayed here with five kids under 9. They loved all the games (ping pong, darts, Pac Man, basketball, badminton, corn hole, etc.). It was fantastic! It was incredibly organized and clean. I'm not sure I've stayed at a property as welcoming; almost every light switch was labeled and it had everything you would need. It was a great location, just up the road from the small neighborhood lake with a swim platform, beach, and playground. It's a little over an hour from both Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island. The hosts were very responsive to questions. We didn't realize that the club house was closed on Tuesday and Thursday. We had hoped to rent some boats in the lake or swim there, but we were not able to do either because of scheduling and the club house being closed. Also, the layout worked great for us (essentially 4 families), but it wasn't clear to me from the photos or description how it was laid out : there is a lower flat with a bathroom, two bedrooms and kitchen/living are, a ground level entry way with the game room, bathroom, and laundry room, and then the upper floor has two more bedrooms, a bathroom, and kitchen/living area. We all enjoyed having our own space and it was large enough for us, but it is not a large open concept floor plan.

Family Retreat

This is a great location for a family getaway! It accommodates many and offers a great game room for entertainment. Owner was very responsive to our question. Very well maintained and relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay was excellent. Everything from booking the rental, to the hospitality of the owners, was wonderful. Some of our guests took down the property information so that they could book it at a later date. I highly recommend this rental home!

Holiday Weekend Getaway

Our group of 10 had a wonderful time at the Bear Pause Lodge. The site had everything we could possibly need for dining and entertainment. The beds were comfortable. The location was beautiful and close by to Charlevoix, Petoskey, Boyne, and Grayling. The game room was a big hit with our crowd. We had everything we needed to relax and keep our kids entertained. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly to inquiries.

The property was just as listed the home owners were very accommodating.

The location would be great for snowmobiling was a little tricky to find the ORV trails, but once the home owner led us in the right direction we had a lot of fun exploring. The clubhouse and pool area was very updated and beautiful. The house was very accommodating and well stocked would be great for couples with children also. We have stayed at a lot of VRBO houses and this one would rate high on our listā€¦We are hoping to return this winterā€¦Thanks to the home owners for playing close attention to the little things that mean so muchā€¦

We are a Michigan family (one of us lives in FL) that loves this part of the State. The hiking, skiing, shopping and great food were just some of the reasons we purchased the Lodge.
