Great location

This house is a great place to enjoy lake Shasta. The view overlooking the lake is a great place for morning coffee. There was plenty of space in the house for our entire family, kids and grandkids. The host, Mike, was very responsive to all of our questions and needs. Can't wait to come back again.

Amazing view and host.

Great place to stay while we were in Shasta. Amazing view and property. Mike was a great host. Accommodated all of our requests and was available when needed. Great knowledge of the area and things to do.

Great rental

My bass club enjoyed our recent stay at the property. Good communication, well appointed, clean, comfortable beds, awesome view. Property is in a gated community, so we felt very secure with our boats. Plenty of parking and outlets to charge. Would stay here again.

Second stay here!

This is second time staying at this property - came back because we just love this home! The open floor plan of this home is great for everyone to "hang out." If you are in the kitchen or living room, you are able to interact with others. The view from all the Shasta Lake facing windows and deck are beautiful and so relaxing - even with the lake as low as it is right now. Just a comfy yet classy home! We love it!

Nice house, highway visible and noisy

The positive: excellent view of Shasta lake, great location to visit amazing waterfalls and natural swimming holes, glorious views of Mt Shasta and Castle Crags after a short drive, extremely convenient for the spectacular cave tour. Beautiful, clean house with high-end appliances, air conditioning, comfortable beds. Lack of internet was not too much of a problem due to the excellent cell coverage. The negative: It was not stated in the description of the property that Highway 5 was highly visible from the deck and the sound so loud that we could not sit outside. It was difficult to sleep in the master bedroom due my noise sensitivity. The other bedrooms were quieter and restful. We received essentially no local information before checking in despite requesting it. I was not aware that 95% of the Whiskeytown lake area had been destroyed by wildfire in 2018 and that the beaches were not accessible, or looked burned out. It would have really helped if this had been mentioned to help us with planning - especially because without wifi in the house, planning alternative activities was more difficult. A cautionary note for people visiting in the summer: We had to leave a day early due to the terrible Dixie fire smoke. The temperature was over 100 almost every day, and there were at least 2 wildfires raging near by at all times and we constantly had to plan activities to avoid smoke.

A well appointed home with a beautiful location. Loved how open and spacious this home is. Perfect for family and friends gathering! Mike was so easy to work with too!

Gorgeous awesome property

Absolutely breathtaking house with million dollar view, phenomenal set up, hot tub right on the deck, killer master suite bedroom, true chefs kitchen, and just all around class and comfort. We could of not asked for more. Mike was so friendly and kind as a host. We sincerely appreciated him and his quick responses. I will 500% be recommending this to friends....but only after we book first. 😂❤️❤️❤️Thank you again for the hospitality and wonderful stay.

Everything I thought it would be and more!

Right from the get-go Mike was hospitable, nice, and easy to communicate with. The location was even better in person than the picture show. It’s a beautiful house, and if you have the money, rent it. It was DEFINITELY worth the money. Don’t forget it has a jacuzzi, a grill, and laundry machines. 5 out of 5 would recommend.

GORGEOUS HOME - great views and perfect for entertaining!

I rented this property - which is a halfway point for us to meet with my husband's adult kids. The property is absolutely gorgeous! The open concept front room/kitchen made it so nice for us all to be involved while cooking/cleaning/etc. Kitchen is to DIE FOR! HUGE windows at the back of the house provide GORGEOUS views of Lake Shasta! LOTS of room at several tables to eat/sit/just enjoy the view. Hot tub was nice to sit in while enjoying the view! Home is large enough/set up so that you can be in "different areas" but still in the same room - great for the 4 couples that met here! Beds/linens/blankets are extremely comfortable! House is provided with most everything you need - towels, extra blankets, extra pillows, and all kitchen needs. We hope to make this AT LEAST a yearly spot for us all to meet up! THANK YOU!

Wonderful housr with a view

Wonderful well built and beautiful home. Would definitely stay again. Perfect for cooking and relaxing. The master room is to die for wish we had that closet and bathroom at home.

Great place and great views of Shasta Lake

We spent a long weekend here and it was great! Pros: Great views House was clean and well stocked Beds were really comfortable A lot of space We had a great time hiking, seeing the caverns and playing around the lake. There weren’t any real cons. Our phones worked at the place, but we lost service trying to find the house a few times. So be sure to look at the map in case you lose cell service. Our kids complained about no WiFi about 50 times as well.

So beautiful

This place is beautiful! We took our off rod vehicles and went about 30 minutes away and played in the hills. It has lot of room and beautiful views. Will definitely be going back

Lakehead Stay

We had a nice time. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed for cooking. Nice dining area. The living room and deck has beautiful view of the lake. Kids enjoyed slide, swing set and hot tub. The bedroom configuration was perfect for our family. Enjoyed our stay! Thank you.
