Beachfront Cabin with Lake Views & Harry Potter Room

Welcome to the 'Peapod Cabin'. Our cabin comes loaded with everything you'll need for a stay with just your partner, your family or friends. Enjoy lake views from the Porch, Deck, Living Room, Kitchen and downstairs bedroom. Savor a long bubble bath in the jetted tub. Stay cozy reading next to the fireplace. The options are endless for your stay.

**Summer stays must be a full Sun-Sun rental**In the springtime enjoy views of the birds coming back to the open waters of the lake. We love watching the loons and the eagles in the mornings from our screened in porch. Head on over to Albion Park just down the road for picnics, hiking, or just large open areas for your kids to burn some energy. Grab a local bottle of wine from a nearby winery and sip it by the fireplace with your fresh chocolates from the local candy store.

Ah Summertime. The best time for the lake! We have a beach/swimming area right on our property for you to enjoy. A pontoon is available for rent (Must be 25 years or older) and we have a dock if you'd like to bring your own boat as well. We have water toys, sand toys, a canoe, paddle boards and more for you to enjoy outdoors. Be sure to get your s'more fix in at night around the fire while you listen to the night sounds of the lake.

In the fall, you must get out and enjoy the colors! Take a hike, grab your camera for photos of the trees around the lake, build leaf piles in the yard. There are a few apple orchards nearby that offer both kids and adult activities. Grab some apples and head back to the cabin to bake a homemade pie and sip on a fresh jug of local apple cider.

In the wintertime our cabin includes ice skates in numerous sizes (we can't guarantee we have your size), sleds, a pair of cross country skis and snow toys. Want to try your hand at ice fishing? We have a pop-up ice house available at no extra charge. Want to stay inside and relax during your stay? No problem. We have 6 smartTV's with wifi to catch up on show-binging, a jetted tub to soak in for hours, a fireplace with reading options from baby to grandma and warm & plush throws with plenty of mugs to fill with hot chocolate or coffee.

The house was lovely and the kitchen was much better stocked with dishes/cookware/etc. than any other rental I've had. It made it very easy for us to prepare our meals and enjoy our vacation. I also really appreciated having a grill available.

Our twin 3-year-old grandsons loved all the toys, puzzles and books. Thank you so much for having so much fun stuff for kids! We got to play in the lake on Monday and Tuesday (before the weather turned cold!) and the lake and lake toys were great. I left 2 sets of washable markers for you/the next guests with kids. Hopefully we didn't leave anything else! Thank you so much!Carrie

This property location is wonderfully close to the lake. We were able to roll a wheelchair from inside and around the house to the dock with little effort. The fisher people in our family enjoyed many outings, sometimes no bites, other times, big fish. We used our boat to fish, and we rented the pontoon available at the property. This worked out well, the pontoon was clean and easy to use. Our adult children came and went during our 2 week stay. They were impressed with the layout and updated decor of the house. Our grandkids loved the sandy beach outdoor, amenities and child themed rooms with toys. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit with plenty of provided chairs and roasting forks. Family members enjoyed the kayak and paddle boards. Our daughter appreciated the baby pack and play provided at no extra charge. We had dogs stay two nights, and were thankful for the warm welcome for dog families (kennel, food bowls, blankets). We felt at home and comfortably welcome. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a wonderful stay! Quiet lake, many times we were the only ones on the water. The kids loved all the fish they caught off the dock. They played on the beach constantly and zero entry into the water was perfect. There were weeds/long grass in the water as you reached the end of the dock but those also are attractive to fish so there is a trade off. We were able to take the provided Lilly pad to the middle of the lake (attached to our boat) for plenty of swimming fun. The paddle boards and kayaks were great fun as well. Inside the cabin was very welcoming and beautiful. Bring extra fry pans (provided ones are not great), bring Tupperware or Ziplock bags for leftovers. Extra fridge and freezer in garage if needed was also helpful. Golfing, State Park, near by.

Our review

The Pea Pod cabin was a clean and updated lake cabin. Three generations stayed and a memorable time was had by all. There were many indoor and outdoor spaces for group or alone time. The Harry Potter cupboard was sweet. The grandchildren enjoyed the beach and lake and loooved fishing from the dock. The sunrises were beautiful. The cabin was everything it was marketed to be, no disappointment. Additionally, there were plenty of life jackets, floaties, paddle boards, and even a lily pad. We enjoyed our stay 'up at the lake'.

Relaxing, quiet week. Renting the pontoon was the best decision we made. When you rent a VRBO you never know what you will run into. Below is information that I would have found helpful to know. The front of the house is a 4 season porch. It isn't very deep so it wasn't somewhere to hang out but it was great to use for our extra stuff and for coming and going! Always able to find some some shade near the water. Loved that there was a little sand area for those sand lovers but nice you stepped into grass when walking off the dock. The lake itself is a little weedy but there was a device that was attached to their dock that kept the first 10 feet weed free with very nice sand. Great for young kids. The end of the dock was weedy but if you got past then the water was OK. We did see a lilly pad mat in the garage but we didn't use it. A few small fish were caught off the dock.Inside was set up well. The air conditioning worked very well so if you plan to use the basement, plan to use extra blankets. The kitchen had the basics but here are things I would have packed: small left over containers, plastic drinking cups (plenty coffee and wine glasses but very few other glasses for adults), coffee filters, and ice if you use ice in your beverages. There is an ice maker but hard to keep up with a bigger group.

One of my favs.

This is the second year we've stayed at this property and we love it. Great house with all amenities needed. We've rented the pontoon both times we've been here and it is a great boat and well kept. Property owners had a septic problem come up and contacted us when we were half way there, so a bit of a scare, but they dropped everything and had it fixed before we arrived. A property owners. My only complaint is the kitchenware. Pots and pans are not perfect but i was still able to cook every meal just fine. So that is literally the only thing i could complain about, and thats pretty petty. Thanks for everything. Wonderful stay 2 years in a row.

Fun stay with family

My family had a great time at this cabin and would for sure come back! We had 4 kids with the age ranges from 7 to 2 and the cabin was SO kid friendly. They thought of everything, there was a highchair, pack n' play, extra mattresses under the beds for more sleeping room. The water off the beach was clean and very minimal weeds. They had paddle boards, kayaks etc. that entertained my kids for hours. There was a family of geese who liked to wander so we did have to clean up some goose poop, but the cabin had tools to clean it up, so it was no big deal. Plus, the baby geese were so cute! So many great memories made at this place!

My Stay

it was a really nice place, it was really clean and spacious, and they had a lot provided which was nice, overall there was good communication but there were some things I feel like Should have been communicated a lot sooner, there was also alot of seaweed by the dock so we couldn’t really go swimming, but overall I had a really great time!!

The home was large enough to accommodate or family for and out of town wedding in January. Didn't spend a lot of time at the property, but appreciated the kid options as our grandchildren stayed eith us and were entertained with the kid options.

Quiet place on the lake with plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Firm beds were a plus. The fireplace was delightful, and the view was pretty.

Hello! I'm Kati, and welcome to our Peapod Cabin. We've named it after our family of 6 (or 8 if we are counting the animals). Pat & I met when we were 5 years old, dated shortly in the 5th grade :), and reconnected after high school. We got married in 2009. We enjoyed a number of kid-free years together before becoming foster parents and eventually adopting 4 amazing kids in 5 years. Our family means everything to us, which is why we created this space. We all worked on it together, the kids even helped pick out pieces for "their" rooms. This project has given us the chance to learn and grow as a family and we hope you love it here as much as we do!

We chose this property/location because of our love for the area with previous family cabins. Pat's grandma owned a cabin in Annandale that brought our family so many precious memories and when that cabin was passed on we knew we needed to keep the memories alive in one of our favorite places.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

One of our favorite things about this cabin is that we can walk right out of the living room and onto the beach. Our kids LOVE sand and water so this is our biggest perk.
